It's totally self-service. There is an assistant available at the honk of your horn, which is nice. In the past we've run into problems with our card or a particular pump acting up. This helper has always alleviated anything out of the norm for us. So that's pretty good service. This location has incredibly long lines. I would never wait during prime time for gas. During the pandemic I have used their drive up a lot which is conveniently next to the gas station. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, the gas station is not very big. Most of the time I have at least a 5-minute wait but sometimes I can get in and out without waiting. What's nice is that all of the pumps stretch, so even if a pump is available that isn't on the side of your car that the gas is on, you can still use it. I kind of hate doing that because it's kind of a pain, but occasionally I will do it just so I can get in and out of the gas station quicker. BJ's is consistently $0.20 or more per gallon cheaper than all of the regular gas stations in the area, so overall I have no complaints.

I had to make a quick stop (as the name implies) here to pick-up some ice for my friend's pool party. I made my way up to the counter with 3 of the 7 bags I needed plus some trash bags. The guy working there started ring me up and then after I paid he told me that he would get the other bags and bring them to my car. Honestly, I never would have even thought to ask him for help, but it was definitely appreciated. I even came back in and bought a slice of pizza (although it wasn't as good as it looked). After I saw "8 Mile" I thought I knew everything I need to know about you people, but I didn't and I appreciate you.

Best part is that this is still one of those increasingly elusive gas stations where you can still pay the same price at the pump for cash or credit. Beware coming here when it's super cold out, however, as it's in the middle of a wide-open "Meijer Prairie" and that makes for some tremendous icy winds during the winter months. Even 90 seconds outside of your car in full winter garb will leave you feeling like you were stranded in the Siberian tundra. As for the convenience store segment? It's not bad. Much cleaner and better organized than most area gas station convenience stores. It doesn't seem as 2/3 of the inventory is past date either, which is also too common. You are honestly probably better off running into the main Meijer store for most of these needs but they are here and they are convenient if you don't feel like the extra stop.

The parking lot sucks, and you almost always get blocked in by their seemingly continuous delivery trucks. I sometimes just park at a pump to run in...which I feel bad about because somehow they always have ridiculous lines. Poorly managed inside, and the clientele stumbling with cash and buying their cigs and lotto tickets really hold up the lines. And then there's the issue with making a left out of that horrible intersection, right by a median and the GM gate. *shudder* Completely average in every way.
