So I was out for dinner at Market Square and, as you do, had probably eaten way too much. No room…read morefor dessert, I thought. But nope! - along came a girl with free samples of froyo - and they weren't bad so off to this new shop it was. I had no idea where "oops!" actually was, but never fear, it wasn't hard to spot: just follow the blaring K-pop. Sadly my appalling karaoke effort wasn't successful in scoring any free toppings, but more on that later. First things first, because I know you're all dying to know: yes, they make the froyo for you. No self serve here, but the variety is everything you'd expect: I think about 8 flavours of frozen yoghurt, the original and fruity flavours and then green tea. There's plenty of toppings too. Naturally, I opted for the mango pearls (popping boba) because that's how I roll. But at a quick glance it looked like they had all the usual suspects. The froyo itself was pretty good, and nothing unusual to report. Maybe I'm not enough of a conoisseur to write an essay about the quality of frozen yoghurt, but no complaints - it was up to the standard of any of the big chains if not a little better! The emphasis at Oops is definitely on the yoghurt itself - I got a LOT for the size of my cup! The flip side of that, though, is that toppings aren't included (that's right, aren't included) and cost extra, unless you join in their little marketing ploy by liking the Facebook page prior to purchase ;) I've never seen the no-toppings approach before, and with a normal mix of stuff like you might get at Berryme or Noggi, this would work out to be really expensive REALLY fast. If you love your froyo pure and unadulterated, though, it's great. Early days, but the staff were also cool and friendly and the atmosphere was good. So check it out.

Sonder Dessert - Matcha cake was pretty underwhelming, no matcha taste at all. And a matcha drink. The matcha ice cream was extremely good though.

This cafe that has opened up in the suburbs is a good favourite of mine when I'm craving matcha…read morethings. Although not a matcha themed cafe they do have a variety of hot & cold drinks & a cute range of desserts to try - some leaning towards the asian variety. I've read past reviews where some say that the matcha lattes for them was not strong enough, but I guess I got lucky when I had mine the other week? - As I found it hard to fault anything. Service was good & friendly, & I find it a clean, well presented place to go to relax & catch up with friends. Just make sure you don't go in their most busiest hours as I believe there is limited seating. Other than that, definitely order the creme brulee as its memorably amazing & choose the hojicha menu items if you appreciate matcha flavour as they dont disappoint ! :)

Started seeing Sonder popping up in various social media feeds so decided to check it out…read more I wasn't disappointed :) Service was most pleasant, very friendly crew. One of the guys actually helped guide our car into a parking spot! The decor is super cute, with hanging plants from the ceiling and attractive lights. The space indoors is a bit tight, there's room for three booths, one long table and about four smaller ones; there are also lots of tables outside. I had the hojicha float, consisting of iced hojicha latte and hojicha ice cream. Hojicha is Japanese green tea roasted over charcoal. The latte was pleasant but the ice cream was the stand out for me! So yum. A friend had the black sesame parfait. It was served in a long glass so it was a bit difficult to eat as we wanted to mix up the various ingredients. The serving had black sesame ice cream, mochi, parfait, cream, sweetened red beans, cornflakes and matcha jelly. Once again, the ice cream was sensational! Overall, it was a really good dessert/experience and I can't wait to go back and try others!
