The room is a kind of small so they can only let in a certain amount of people at a time. Everyone was very patient. The long tables are set up full of books and when a box is emptied there are more books put out. They are only divided by Fiction/ Non Fiction and Children's. It is $5 per bag - Holy Cow....WOW! I really want to give a big shout out to all the employees who were working the sale on Saturday.,.they were incredibly friendly and helpful. (It was my first time there) They helped me to my car with 3 bags Full of books.... offered me a chair when I was finished and waiting for my friend. Thank you Liverpool Library!

My daughter loved the kids area and the scavenger hunt, we roamed the rest just to see it and it's truly stunning with the giant windows. Boy, was I surprised. First thing I saw was a room equipped with (fairly new) computers, printers, and projector screen. The whole building had a very sleek and modern feel. The children's room was massive and really colorful-- there are toys and lots of space to read/play. There was a massive magazine room with a large selection. Downstairs there were more computers, along with large fiction and nonfiction sections. The shelves were organized and clearly labeled, which made them super easy to navigate. One of the books I was looking for was listed as in stock but not on the shelf-- when I mentioned this to the librarian during checkout, she checked the returns for me, and found it. Really impressed with this library. Wish it wasn't so much of a drive for me, because honestly, I'd be here all the time. What a great resource.

At the checkout counter they have a bunch of bookmarks and stickers available. The mid-back room is all non-fic, and had two chairs if you're the type who wants to sit with your wares for a moment. They back room is used clothing and antique fabrics, and DOES have a fitting room! There's a room for kids and teens too. I recommend you have good knees going in as there are books in every possible nook, high and low, including under tables. There's a read for every flavor and a recommendation for every reader. The shop owners are very knowledgeable of their stock. Parking- for cars I believe there's a back lot? But it's probably easier to just street park.

I really hope the public libraries like this will continue to thrive. Those DVDs educated me far more than anything I learned in grad schools. Seriously. I've been trying to checkout a state park pass from Library of Things ... it has not been successful. They told me that they only have 4 passes and 10 in the entire library system. I will keep trying! Maybe I will get lucky one day! Hey, I heard a public library in San Francisco has sewing machines! I would love a sewing and knitting/crocheting workshops here ...helping me give more fingers to the corporations by sewing my own underwears ... why not? Maybe you can cooperate with Sew Green to make it happen ... My only "complaint" is that I wish the purchase request process was more transparent .. i.e. if I could get a feedback from the librarian as to the possibility for the purchase of a particular item I want to borrow, and receiving a notification when the item is purchased ... that would be delightful ... but then I know that we can set the catalog search parameter to alert us to the items when it is cataloged in the library system, so no complaints ... Please keep up the wonderful work! The library is one of the best ways our tax money is put to use!

The Manlius Library has all the stuff you'd expect at a library, and a tremendously nice staff. The attached cafe is nice and unpretentious, and staffed by volunteers. You can access any resource from any of the public libraries in the county, http://www.onlib.org/ , and this makes a vast pool of materiels that are available for borrowing. Request what you want online, and it will be delivered to the branch of your choice, and an email will inform you that it is in!

It's comfortable, warm in the winter time, or cold in the summer time. The hours are kinda lame..but I usually go here with my girlfriend to relax and warm up..and talk or work on stuff.
