Came here for lunch in spring 2021. Due to Covid-19 the town was still pretty empty. But the restaurants open and this place pretty busy in the heart of the old town. Inside it looks very cozy and charming, but we took a table outside on this sunny day.
Ordered two glasses of white wine, steak with sides and Polbo A Feira. Wine was very nice and soon the food arrived. Ordered two more glasses of wine (red this time) to go with that.
The steak was very good, nice roast and meat flavours. Fries hot and crispy. What really was nice were the smoked bell peppers (peperoni) on the side. Went very well with the meat. Meat could have been a bit more tender. But then again it was not a filet cut, so for that it was really enjoyable.
Really great was the Polbo A Feira. A northern (galician) specialty. Octopus with potatoes, topped with sea salt and paprika spice. Cooked to perfection the octopus was a real treat. Fantastic item.
Staff was nice, our Bulldog was welcome and we really had a wonderful lunch here. Prices are on the higher side for Spain, but they have good quality food here. A nice restaurant. read more
