It is slightly west of the smaller one. This one also sells kitchenware, while the other one does not. They both sell lots of prepared foods, drinks, and ice cream! So obviously, I am a huge fan, lol. As the name of the store suggests, they sell Korean and Japanese groceries. Prices are slightly higher than the bigger Korean supermarkets (like Galleria or HMart in Toronto), but comparable to other Japanese supermarkets that I've been to. The stores are clean and well lit. Super excited as I love indian food but the restaurant thing is starting to get quite expensive so I'm super happy to have found a great place to do some groceries for the house and prep some fabulous indian cuisine homemade! There's an abundance of indian spices in jars, cans, powder form with tons of fresh veggies and fruits. Lots of cool flavours. It's not a full on grocery such as no meats .. only spices, dairy products Paneer cheese yaaay and ready to go snacks as you walk in the store. The Place is super convenient for me as we live close by and we don't have to drive far to get our things.. the only downfall is the price.. a bit pricey if you ask me but not as bad as the resto's and it's a convenience thing.. rather spend more and drive less. There are some rare japanese items I haven't seen much elsewhere, like fresh wasabi (!!!), shiso leaves, and wagyu beef. There is also a fine selection of snacks and specialty foods. Don't expect the prices to be low, they are specialty items after all. I bought a pack of shiso leaves (~10 leaves) for $3.99. A fresh wasabi plant will run you $25 (totally worth it tbh) I'd check it out if you're into japanese cooking or just love japanese snacks in general! The place is small but you could probably find what you need. They also had sittori chocolate in strawberry flavour aahhhhh.

They also have a great selection of Italian deli meats, prosciutto, salamis, etc... I found many types of coffees especially for espresso. Most if the dry goods come from the old country. Tomatoes sauce, olive oils, cookies, pasta... You won't find fresh produce. They even have pasta makers, cauldrons, and espresso coffee makers. I enjoy their house made italian sausages. Top Discount is a small speciality French/European grocery store that offers mostly shelf stable foods and specialty products for the home. You can find lots of imported snacks, chips, candies, beverages, cereals and household supplies like cleaning products, detergents, body care, soaps, lotions and the like - all from France for the most part. These are the type of items that are very hard to find elsewhere and normally not sold at your regular grocery store. With the large community of French ex-pats and other European migrants in Quebec, Top Discount offers a little taste from home. I stocked up on a few body washes from brands like Dop or Cottage (not sold in Canada normally), made in France Lays chips, Haribo gummy candy and special bbq sauces. The prices are very affordable and the products are unique and fun. I am not from Europe but appreciate the variety and being introduced to new brands. Note that Top Discount has a partnership with Carrefour which is one of the largest grocery chains in Europe so they also sell many Carrefour house branded items at very cheap prices. This Laval location has the best selection, I went on opening day and compared to another Top Discount store I went to in Brossard, this new location is bigger and better. They have a huge selection of quality pasta sauces, noodles, and italien oils. You can also buy their delicious pasta and other premise goodies, such as arancini, pizza and some other things. The staff is friendly and very helpful. When we walked in a man was in the store shopping with his bulldog. So bonus points for being dog friendly. definitely check this place out!
