We literally had this secret gem to ourselves on a Thursday night in summer. Finding this place was difficult as there is no outside signage. If you follow the GPS direction it'll being you right to the small parking lot where you'll see an old garden door with a lion head door knocker attached. Don't knock, that's not the door. Just walk down the driveway to the left and you'll eventually be greeted by the wait staff. Once seated in the cute outdoor seating areas, you'll be treated to a pleasant view where you can watch the sunset. Fresh flowers decorate the dining area perfectly. We ordered the steak which was actually more than enough for two adults. That also includes a salad and a dessert. Everything was beyond delicious and well prepared. Naturally, it was all very expensive, but the shear volume of food you get makes you feel better about how much you spent. Highly recommended for a special night out.

Just two hours outside of Manila, Marcia Adams is a the perfect respite on a quiet weekend day. Away from the crowds of Tagaytay city, Marcia Adams gives you a slice of Tuscan country life with interiors that are reminiscent of farm life complete with exposed brick walls and canopies for the outdoor dining area. Surrounded by lush gardens, Marcia Adams is the perfect backdrop for a romantic night out or a family gathering. With their rustic meals and hearty portions, the place is definitely worth the trip out of town. Each dish comes served with an appetizer, I particularly love the prawns but if you like soup, their warm broth with vegetables is a good option to, and dessert. Everything that they serve is cooked with heart and you can see that whether you order the chicken caserole, their bean stew with rice, and even their super rich carbonara. But more than the food, its really the experience of dining in Marcia Adams that makes its so memorable. From the accommodating staff to the fresh bread that Mr. Adams carries to the kitchen himself--it's all about good service and good company, and the great food is the delicious cherry on top.

Tries pretty hard to replicate a Sonia's Garden vibe. Lovely shabby chic forested setting. Portions small and off flavored. Dish-soap flavored squid, annato flavored pork. Prices are worthy of the Instagrammable corners of the venue and the active 'grammers pouting at their smartphones. I'd come again just to keep trying different things on the menu, odds are bound to give me a good experience eventually. Desserts small but tasty.

Under the Tuscan Sun is one of my favorite films (original Eat, Pray, Love me thinks) and dining at Marcia Adams transports me to Frances' little villa in Tuscany every time! Down to the beautiful wild flowers, wrought iron and stone fixtures and imported bricks from Europe in the courtyard, you would really think you were in a tiny town in Italy instead of tucked away off a side street in Cavite. A minimum cover charge of Php 700 for your 3-course meal lets you choose your own appetizer, main course and dessert. I love coming here with my family for special occasions because we like to order different mains and get to try many of the delicious French, Greek, and Italian dishes. My go-to is the Grilled Aromatic Pork, my brothers love the kebabs and pastas, and my parents like the hearty stews! All their desserts are amazing but their Lavender Crème Brûlée is my favorite. It's quaint, quiet and the perfect place to enjoy the Tagaytay breeze and eat some really good food on a lazy weekend afternoon. But before you make your way to Marcia's little piece of Italy and experience the relaxing and reviving hidden gem for yourself, don't forget to call in advance and bring cash, they don't accept credit cards yet!

Ambience, great food and good value for money. A place to chat and enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner. Service is slow allowing us to enjoy each course and talk. The fish kebabs were cooked just right and the aubergine dip appetizer was spot on. Greek lamb stew was good. Lemon pudding and Pavlova were also very delicious. The thing I would suggest though is to rename the banana split as it was misleading, we were served split banana with skin with a dollop of chocolate ice cream, weird.

Great menu prepared with care. And equally great is the forest setting. So check them out and I hope you agree.

Okay, I held off reviewing Greek Kouzina for awhile because I wanted to try more of their menu and…read moretoday I got the chance. One thing I never fail to order is their stuffed zucchini because it's really good and feels really healthy... it's "greek rice with pine nuts, raisins and tomatoes stuffed in zucchini". However, today I found out that they modified their menu and there's no longer stuffed zucchini (sob!); instead, they changed it to stuffed red bell pepper! Badly needing my rice fix, I ordered it anyway, but very doubtfully. We also got the beef gyros (small pieces of beef, greens, and feta cheese in pita wrap) and the crispy calamares. The good news is, the stuffed red bell pepper was surprisingly even BETTER than the zucchini. It's the sweetest pepper I've ever tasted! Truthfully I'm not a fan of bell peppers because the green ones turn me off so I thought they all taste weird, but this red bell pepper was a game changer for me. TRY IT TRY IT! The other ones we ordered were pretty good as well. So far, I haven't tasted anything that I particularly disliked from Greek Kouzina. I also like their Lamb Meatballs. For dessert, their Greeka Yogurt is a must-try. The honey mixed with yogurt is amazing. If you run out of honey you can always ask for more.

Whenever I take Little Baguio, I always see small restaurant with lots of cars parked outside it, even on the street. One day, a client of mine asked to meet at Greeka, though not the one in San Juan, but the then newly opened branch in SM Aura. Because I already have a major favorite from another restaurant, thought it would be "safe" for me to try Greeka's version, and maybe even compare to see which one I like better. So, I ordered the htipiti, which is basically a feta cheese dip. It was a bit coarse, with small bits of feta and not spicy like the one I have been accustomed to. Their pita is also a bit on the heavier side. Then I had their Roka Garides pasta, which I was unsure of at first, because I didn't think arugula would work well with shrimp and pasta. However, I was glad I tried it because it was good! Being able to enjoy pasta with vegetables is good, but with this, it's just wonderful. Overall, I found that it cannot be compared to my favorite Greek resto, as Greeka has a totally different approach and feel, not just to the eyes but to the palate as well.

Though, not a lot of people know that further inside Gourmet Farms is a Mediterranean-inspired fine dining restaurant called The Dining Room. It's yet another one of those structures that are inspired by those houses in Santorini, Greece--all white and turquoise with a dome. Their menu is more refined than that of the storefront cafe, so if you're feeling a bit more fancy, head here instead. My family and I went here for an early New Year's lunch and since we had our dog tagged along (which they allowed!), we opted to eat al fresco. They have a pretty nice ambience since you'll be eating adjacent to their gardens. While I couldn't say anything about their meat dishes, I really enjoyed their salad bar. It's a piece of heaven for any hungry vegetarian/vegan. The greens are fresh, the roasted vegetables were flavourful, and they have a variety of salad dressings available. You're guaranteed to have super fresh produce, too, since it's really pretty much farm to table here. This place is great for families, or for a lunch/dinner date. Though if you're looking for a quick bite, opt to eat at the cafe instead since this place can get a bit pricey.

It's a hit and miss for us to get the timing right because at one visit, we were there around lunch time and had to wait in the queue for a very long time. Parking was relatively easy since the restaurant is at Molito. If no open parking slots are available, there's always the basement parking. BEVERAGES Cyma Iced Tea is a home-brew type that was very strong, sweet and heavy. At the same time, the Yogurt Shake had delicious yogurt and fruit rind on top; this was a first and I loved it! FOOD They excel in serving excellent and elegant food! Greek Nachos is on the top of my list because of how refreshingly addicting the toppings and soft pita are. I always want more and more! Kalamarakia and Solomos were fairly good while the Yiouvetsi was really heavy on the belly. My second fave would be the Meat Platter, an abundance of more fluffy pita and some well-cooked meat. Potatoes au jus deserve the same attention for its texture; really nice to chew into. SERVICE There was just one instance where the one who lined us up in the queue that busy lunch day appeared to be moody, and that's okay; we're all human. We could really see it in her slightly agitated face and we felt awkward speaking with her midway. Good thing she snapped out of it when it was time to go to our table. I hope she was able to resolve whatever it was that was bothering her that time. In spite of that, everyone else was very kind, checked on how our food was, and were quick on requests.

We had the Mezedes set (melitzanosalata, roasted cauliflower and garlic, and skordalia), Briami, Potatoes Sto Fourno, Greek lemonade, and coffee. The Mezedes sampler was tasty -- they didn't skimp on the bread, and all of the dips were well seasoned. Briami is baked eggplant, tomatoes, potatoes, and zucchini, which had a little too much olive oil and not enough seasoning. One serving of Potatoes Sto Fourno is surprisingly huge and not at all oily, though quite plain. What got to me was the Greek lemonade. I asked the waitstaff what was in it and she said it was just fresh lemonade. Lemme get this straight: it's fresh lemonade that's served in a Greek-themed restaurant, so it must be Greek lemonade. But then, they also serve cafe Americano. Eh? While the food was hot, the service was lukewarm. It helped that the waitstaff were prompt and civil, but they seemed distracted, as if they were inconvenienced to serve another set of patrons. This was the lunch hour, and the place was only 40% full. To any business owners: your service staff's demeanor is significantly responsible in setting the tone for transactions with your customers. If your staff act like they don't care about the customers, the customers won't feel like they need to care about your business. Behavior is contagious. Good thing I care a lot about what I eat, so it's likely I'll return here for their plant-based meals. But not after I forage elsewhere for better service first.

It is the same chef/owner from First Gourmet Academy and this is one of their restaurants that students operate as part of their practicum, I think. With all the new restaurants popping out in the new building, people misses this resto. This is my third time in this restaurant and they haven't changed. They're still as good since my first visit. Our usual first course is the Mezedes (spreads swerved with breads). My personal favorite is the Melitzanosalata (roasted eggplant spread). I love the tartiness of this dip that is combined with the nice earthy, smokey eggplant. Tzatziki (cucumber, carrots, and yogurt) It's refreshing and clean. I'm not a fan of cucumber, but when it combines with yogurt, it work wonders. Hummus (chickpeas with tahini) is creamy with a hint of lemon acidity. I just prefer a stronger tahini flavor in it, but its really good. Bourou Bourou is a nice, simple, hearty vegetable soup. It is similar to minestrone, its light and flavorful. Arni Me Kritharkia (Orzo with Lamb Meatballs). Orzo cooked in a rich, tomato based sauce with lamb meatballs. The rich tomato ragu blends well with the lamb meatballs. It's a very rich & flavorful meatball pasta. Pastitsio is their version of lasagna, instead of sheet pasta, tube pasta is used. It's simple, yet flavorful pasta dish. Rich, meaty tomato sauce and bechamel on one side. The better thing about this is the sauce are served and overflown on the sides. So we can scoop as much sauce as we can. Chicken Souvlaki, my personal favortie. Marinated large cut chicken fillets, skewered with vegetables and grilled to perfection. The chicken was marinated that produced a moist, flavorful meat. It's not dry as how we expected it. Galaktoboureko is basically a custard pie with phyllo pastry on top. It is similar to a cheesecake, but its yogurt custard with a nice, crusty phyllo on top. It's smooth and creamy complimented by the honey that added sweetness to this dessert. Kos is one of my favorite Greek restaurant in QC. There isn't much restaurant that serves authentic Greek cuisine. Every bite just brings you closer to Greece. #TheFoodCrawlers #OngsFoodprints #TheLostDiego
