Daniel's brother helped service a slow draining kitchen sink issue. Previously we tried a bunch of draino and hot water but still had an issue later on. So we called a professional. Given his stellar 5-star reviews we felt comfortable hiring F1. His quote was reasonable and though he wasn't available to come immediately, only a few days later. We originally agreed for him to visit on Friday but somehow he or his bro made a mistake and visited on Thursday, when no one was home at that time he came. He did come back on Friday at our scheduled time and fix the issue with the electric power snake. I wasn't present when he did it but someone else was in my place. He also didn't send a follow up text to tell me it's fixed, diagnoses, photos or how to prevent it. But at the same time, he's also patient and didn't ask me to pay until I prompted him several hours later asking about the status of the job. I suppose he's a busy man! Communication could be better, just keep in mind you may have to prompt him again to get your receipt later. What's important is that it's fixed and working properly. read more

Contacted Daniel to replace my kitchen sink and toilet almost 3 years ago. I purchased them before he arrived so that it was a smooth service. He offered fast, friendly, and affordable service! Some things I learned: I noticed he didn't caulk the new toilet and after asking, he advised that high rise don't allow that in the gta. He also advised that the kitchen sink was incorrectly installed by the former condo owner. He did a great job replacing it and removing as much of the incorrect caulk/glue as he could. We had to get rid of the old toilet ourselves but I think that's built into the cost since I was quoted at least $40 more by other plumbers who offered that service. I had a leaking valve. Figured I'd call F1 after reading the good reviews. Called a few days ago and the earliest he could schedule me in for was a couple days later. That's fair, I'm sure he is quite busy. The morning of my appointment he texted me to cancel. Disappointing and frustrating, but fine. Things come up. Emergencies happen. However, instead of offering to reschedule, he brushed my entire plumbing issue off, telling me "there really is no problem with the valve". He said "90% of these valves" leak. Isn't the whole point of plumbing that the water stays in the pipes? I have since found another plumber who agrees that water belongs inside the pipes. UPDATE: After posting this review he contacted me again to say it wasn't a thoughtful review and that he could tell I was "that kind of person" (whatever that means) and told me to never contact him again (not that I was planning to). read more

Yelp came in handy for this. I searched for plumbing companies nearby and contacted a few of the results to ask how much it would roughly cost to fix two toilets with flushing issues. Daniel from F1 responded immediately saying $250 based on the info I've provided, but depends on what the actual issue is. Mr Rooter quoted $400 so given the much better price + great reviews, we decided to go with Daniel. He gave a few options on availability and we agreed on Fri 8-9am. He came in right on time around 8:20am, took a look at the first washroom, explained what he was going to do, spent about an hour and fixed both "like new" for $260. I woke up this morning to my toilet flooding my entire apartment. I tried ringing building management and I couldn't reach anyone. Toilets are important and I needed a functional one. So I called F1 based on yelp.ca comments. They sent someone over, within a couple of hours. Fortunately building management saw a work order form I had filled out and they came over before F1 showed up (a bare 5 minutes) so they were in the process of fixing my toilet - valve was broken, so it wasn't me, huzzah!
