"They were painted to remind humanity that we are the angels of this Earth."…read more Created by L.A. based artist and musician, Colette Miller, these angel wings are part of the Global Angel Wings Project that she started in 2012...a series of hand-painted life-sized angel wings as something uplifting in humanity, definitely something we all need right now. Created in a rainbow spectrum these wings represent the Pride movement and support for the LGBTQ community in Palm Springs. "The mural represents peace, individuality, and acceptance. The intention behind the wings is to celebrate diversity, hope, and finding the good within each person." These wings, like all the other wings she's painted across the globe, are at eye-level so passers by can interact with them and become part of the art. The group of us snapped quite a bit of photos the two times we passed by. The second time we had to wait our turn to step in front of them and snap some shots, very popular artwork and SUPER cool. For those of you from Hawaii, she also did an Angel Wings mural on the Anahulu's Shave Ice building in Haleiwa on the north shore of Oahu. Artwork is located on the ground floor of the Kimpton Rowan Hotel, on the east facing pedestrian walkway between the hotel and H&M clothing store.

They have amazing art, custom furniture for both outside and inside your home, glassware and more. Bright lighting from their huge windows over looking Palm Canyon Drive, just before the corner intersection with El Alameda. More than fair amount of parking in the rear lot as well as on the street. My friend Art purchased an end table with a shelf here and they came out and put it together for him, talk about great service! The guys in the shop were both super personable and asked us both as well as any customers in the store if we needed any help or had any questions. Aside from whats in-store Christopher Kennedy offers Interior Design services, shipping (and returns), lighting, and has been serving its customers and clients for over 15 years. Check out their website for more info, but absolutely check out this one of a kind store, maybe bring some new life into your home. Best yet - when I mentioned how sad I was they only had one of the throw pillows I liked, they called me the next day to tell me they could get a second one if I desired. I feel so fortunate to have put our trust and investment in to a muralist who truly pours her heart in to each project. As it was my first time working with a muralist with no particular design in mine, Annie was able to work with us a bring a mural to life that we could never have dreamed of. I would 100% come back to her for any future projects. Thank you Annie and Disco Day Designs for bringing color and life in to our offices!!

We first did a call so that I could tell her what I wanted (cats and flowers), and then she mocked up various designs for me to choose from. Once I chose my favorite, we then went through a couple iterations of changes (minor items since her original draft was amazing already!). It took Annie four days to do the mural. She was great about communicating when she'd be at my house, and she was super respectful and kept to herself that we barely noticed that she was there. She's super pleasant and was a delight. She even added some minor changes for us on the last day when we decided that we wanted our cats' names included on the mural. My husband and I are super happy with how the mural turned out, and it's definitely the highlight of our nursery! We found out at the end that Annie had never painted cats before, and we were shocked because our mural of cats turned out so great that you never would've known that it was her first time painting cats. Annie was worth every penny, and we're going to treasure the mural for many, many years.

Let me say this first, I'm not knowledgeable on molding or custom framing. I haven't had a custom…read moreframe / molding for a picture or print before until recently. I really wanted to go to a local frame / molding shop. But, after getting a print custom matted and framed from this shop, the experience and end result makes me a fan of getting custom molding / frames. This place is awesome. On the walls are samples of hundreds of various different moldings. Some areas, there are completed custom framed pieces waiting for their owners to pick them up. This place is a gem. The shop owner / picture framer, Fernando Guzman, is really nice and friendly. I showed him the print and he gave me some ideas on what to do with it. After talking and looking over different moldings and matte colors scheme, he gave me a total price, which seemed fair and within reason. He even gave me an estimated date of completion and finished it before then. The end result is a beautiful print that's framed and hanging on a wall right where I'm typing this up. This will be my go-to shop for custom framing. And, if anyone wants a quality custom frame job, I'll point them to this location.

He trimmed canvas meant to be wrapped around stretcher bars and put visible staples all along the edge. His explanation was I had not asked for "gallery wrap." I've never even heard of the phrase.
