They have amazing art, custom furniture for both outside and inside your home, glassware and more. Bright lighting from their huge windows over looking Palm Canyon Drive, just before the corner intersection with El Alameda. More than fair amount of parking in the rear lot as well as on the street. My friend Art purchased an end table with a shelf here and they came out and put it together for him, talk about great service! The guys in the shop were both super personable and asked us both as well as any customers in the store if we needed any help or had any questions. People like Christopher really put the true "design" into the trendy Uptown Design District, on North Palm Canyon. His large, attractive store also acts as a design, idea and retail studio for the many internationals that visit. He also "rolls up his sleeves" and jumps into various local charities and non-profit groups. A real mover and shaker in the very popular Modernism Week. He was there when it was a still a casual, informal house tour of then almost forgotten, and neglected mid-century architecture. I love good interior design and had heard about this furniture store in the Palm Springs Uptown Design District and wanted to check it out. This store is big and clean with lots of natural sunlight. It is filled with chic quality contemporary décor well chosen by this accomplished interior designer and not just generic stuff from a big box catalog. Yet the prices seemed very reasonable and I could see myself shopping here... a lot. I would recommend Christopher Kennedy to anyone looking for authentic contemporary Desert Modern style without breaking the bank. Loving the new store location so much that I kept coming back over the holidays for great little gifts. I bought a framed piece of art which was such a great deal making my friend green with envy he didn't buy it before me. The talented Christopher and his team helped me order a fabulous wallpaper for one of the walls in my bedroom and I picked up a cool mid-century chandelier for my dining room. A very disappointing experience here. Lovely decorating possibilities here for your home but a very poor attitude by the staff. One of the staff or the owners dogs were very out of control. They ran out of the back barking and very protective of the territory being chased by a woman who thought and dressed like she thought she was the editor of Vogue Magazine with a water gun. Bizarre. Our dog being held in our arms reacted and as a result a vase was knocked over. Despite the whole circus not being our fault, we were still charged the cost of the vase. Wow! We will not be shopping here in the future as the staff and its dogs should be kept on a leash! read more
