It wasn't busy this Friday night, before 6p; only 2 tables were occupied when I arrived. But during my wait, two more tables came in, plus a doordasher. I ordered the fried polenta, chicken parm, and cacio e pepe. The polenta was pretty tasty! My husband enjoyed the chicken parm. The chicken was thick and very large. My cacio e pepe was just OK. I would return and try something else on the menu. I saw a bunch of butternut squash in the display case, but when I asked what they were used for, the employee said that was still TBD.

I have eaten in Rome and Florence, so I am picky with Italian food and this one is amazing. We started with iced tea and basil lemonade. Although that sounds simple, it was perfect. We had the soft and crispy focaccia with oil dipping sauce followed by a salad with romaine with pepper dressing and shaved Parmesan. Then we had arancini for an appetizer and my husband was sold! He had chicken Parmesan and it was wonderful. The best lasagna I have probably ever had. You have no doubt those pasta sheets are fresh and homemade. Here's my tip.., come early or get a reservation.

I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, became extremely sick after eating it, then ate the leftovers the next day and became sick again. I obviously cannot medically prove what caused it, but getting sick twice immediately after eating the same meal is extremely concerning and something the restaurant should take seriously. What made the experience even worse was the atmosphere. While I was sitting at my table having a normal phone conversation, a waitress came over and told me there had been complaints about me being on the phone. I was not yelling, causing a scene, or disturbing anyone. I was simply speaking on the phone at a normal volume. That is ridiculous. A restaurant is a public social environment. There is no meaningful difference between quietly talking to someone sitting across from you and quietly talking to someone on the phone. If management wants to create an environment where customers are policed for ordinary, non-disruptive behavior because somebody else happens not to like it, that is their choice. But it is also my choice not to spend my money there. Businesses should be focused on serving good, safe food and treating paying customers reasonably--not enforcing outdated social preferences on people who are doing absolutely nothing wrong. Between becoming sick after the meal and then being confronted over an ordinary phone conversation, this was an extremely disappointing experience. I hope Nino's takes a serious look at both the food-quality concerns and the kind of atmosphere they are creating, because this is not how you keep customers coming back.

They made us feel like we didn't belong there. it was a very off night. while eating our bread te waiter took our dipping oil he said to make room for our dinner which didn't come for another 10 mins. neither of us were even close to finishing our bread. ok- we all have off nights. but I got the chicken Jo Jo Carolina which was rather liquidy. all right no big deal. it was just ok. ate less than half and asked for a to go box. they gave me styrofoam box and a paper bag. I placed my food in it. we sat for 5 maybe 10 minutes to finish our drinks. when I got up to leave guess what- the liquid seeped through and fell splattering all over on the floor. a waitress came over and said she got it and to leave. I said I'm worried someone will fall and she said we're good you can go. I know this isn't absolutely horrible but was rude. I wish I can take back my 20% tip. my $26 deal meal wasted. I'm writing this in hopes the restaurant sees this and they will remind their staff to be a little more courteous to people who work hard and want to enjoy their meal. I don't expect them to replace my meal but maybe I'm so sorry this happed instead we got hurried through the meal and then after losing my meal told to go. I think it Was just an off night but it will make me think twice before returning.

We dined in last night as a family of four and had such a great experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with the chicken enchilada egg rolls (a special), and they were absolutely excellent, packed with flavor and a perfect way to start the meal. For dinner, we ordered our usual large Philly cheesesteak pizza (a must!) along with a small Old World Deluxe, and both were just as amazing and consistent as always. That's one thing you can count on here, the food is always spot-on. Our server was friendly, attentive, and really on top of everything, which made the experience even better. We also had the chance to chat with the owner, who was incredibly personable and even out serving food to tables. You can really feel that family-owned, hands-on atmosphere. We arrived around 7:00 p.m. and, judging by the packed parking lot, expected a long wait like usual, but to our surprise, we were seated right away. This place truly never disappoints. Great food, great service, and a welcoming, family-run vibe that keeps us coming back again and again.

Before I tell you about the service, let me tell you about the fantastic food!!! While Samosky doesn't strike me as an Italian name, they sure can make a pizza!!! The crust is wonderful! It looks very thick and bread like, but is soft, light, with the perfect amount of chew inside, with a nice crunchy bottom. The pan it arrives in blew me away! It's not the hot out of the over pizza pan you're used to. It's plastic with raised dimples to slightly elevate the pie and keep that crust crunchy! No idea why every pizza place doesn't do this!! We had one cheese and pepperoni, and one of the monthly specials- a French dip. Yes, a delicious French Dip pizza!!! We also had some wings, pierogis, onion rings, beans, and a couple salads. The "beans" come cowboy bean styles with peppers, bacon, spices, some smoked meat, etc, etc. Way more complex and delicious than the "beans" listed under the sides menu section. The food is delicious and there are a ton of other items I want to try. The service on the other hand....stupid! Now we loved our server!! She was kind, cheery, and gave off a good person vibe. She just wasn't good at her job - which is a management problem. It's like she had no training. She missed upsell opportunities to our entire 4 person party. She couldn't describe menu items in any more detail than the menu, never refilled our water or drinks, and did not clear empty plates from the table. Thankfully she's studying to be a nurse, because she would starve in food service. She was a sweetheart, just not trained by management to do the job they hired her to do, which is stupid. When we tried to buy a gift certificate and some bakery when we were leaving, my management suspicions were confirmed. The woman behind the counter couldn't sell a gift certificate. She had to get the owner to do it. Once my sister's gift certificate transaction completed the owner asked if he could help me. I said I needed some bakery (from the case he was leaning over). He said "Oh, okay. Let me get one of the girls" and he walked away... from a customer who just spent $120 eating there and another $100 on a gift certificate. What kind of customer service is that?!?! Stupid. A few minutes later a girl showed up and got me my to go bakery. The food is great, but the service is not. Just know that before you go - the quality of the food definitely outweighs the service issues, but there's not much to choose from in the area.
