Our waitress was very friendly and explained the menu since we hadn't been there before and pointed out specials available during the week. My husband got the clam chowder soup, my son got wings with sauce on the side. I chose the nachos that came out in a big charcoal can and the waitress lets them dump out on the plate from the bottom of the cab. Neat presentation but felt all the good stuff then ended up at the bottom and you had to dig through. The food was average. I also got the house margarita which was a great price but it watered down fairly quick. Overall, I'd try it again.

Once we ordered our beverages it took a while before we could put in our order. Maybe an extra server may have helped a bit. Our food finally came out and was pretty good. I had ordered a trio meal of the chicken wings which were boneless. I received an extra one. All the food was pretty good and hot. The tangy buffalo sauce didn't have much if any heat. Overall not a bad experience given the time of day. It seemed pretty average for service and good quality/taste.

My only complaint, if any would be that the Lettuce, what's cut too close to the core. But that's only my preference. As for the service, Polite , Thoughtful and sweet. The ambiance. This place Definitely. owned by an artist Who loves their own art. I normally had to give a place three chances before I give a review. Because everyone has a bad day. Every business has a bad day. Sometimes everyone's just off for no reason. So to be fair. I usually go three times before I make a review. But i'm compelled to make this review for the first time I was astounded. I'm the type of person. My friends would take me to a new restaurant for lunch before they even plan at dinner with the group. Even my poor husband want to try new restaurants, but he gets the eye roll. But I am impressed continue your craft.

At the end of the night as we're getting ready to go back home, we went back for one last drink. We both presented valid, unexpired South Carolina driver's licenses that were genuine and in good condition. At the door, the bouncer told us they don't typically accept South Carolina IDs, but ultimately allowed us inside. When we went to order drinks, the bartender refused to serve us, claiming our IDs had "scanned as fake." When we questioned that, we were then told they didn't actually have an ID scanner. We even offered to have local law enforcement verify that our IDs were legitimate, but they still refused to serve us. We completely understand the importance of checking IDs and appreciate that businesses have to be cautious. However, being given conflicting explanations and feeling like our valid out of state IDs were dismissed without a legitimate verification process was frustrating and embarrassing. If there is an official policy regarding South Carolina IDs, it should be clearly communicated. If there isn't, I hope management addresses this so other visitors with valid out of state identification don't have the same experience.

Young employees work there but they were very polite and personable. We ordered our dinners. 2 ordered the veal, 1 ordered the steak skewers and three of us ordered the Lamb special. The presentation looked great. We all ordered the lamb medium rare. Upon picking up my knife and trying to cut threw the lamb I realized that it was going to be an issue. It was really tough. 2 others that ordered had the same problem. We called for the server and mentioned it to them. He took one dinner, brought it out back and in comes the "owner" "chef" who appeared to be a young women. When I told her that all three lambs ordered were tough, she stood there and stared at me. After a minute or two she said, I can't understand how that can happen. I told her that I couldn't either but found it hard to cut and eat. She immediately said "Well, we can't give you anything else". I said fine, then just take it back. The others agreed to do the same. When she took the other plates on the way, she called me a bitch, somewhat under her breath but loud enough for us to hear. The father then comes in, (owner) I told him what she said and he defends his daughter saying " She never talks that way". In either case, he defended his daughter and the meal and never once appologized or said he understood or anything. After a bit of an argument, he finally said he would take it off the bill. My husband and I have never ever had to fight for money back for a meal that could't be eaten. They were rude, non-compasionate, argumentive. The other 3 people had a wonderful meal as the beef and the veal were very tender and delicious. It's too bad as we thought we finally found a great place for an elegant diner. To bad , the attiude that we experienced, means we will never go back. Beware that if you complain you will have a fight on your hands. Finding restaurants in this area is so different from other areas where they try to please. Needless to say my husbands Birthday dinner ended up a disaster.
