This critique is simply on what I consider to be bad business. I signed my daughter up for Santos Academy's trial membership. The trial came with a uniform, and a month's worth of sessions (two classes for four week, eight classes). My daughter attended three classes and then was out due to illness. As a preemptive measure I made contact with the school and informed them of our situation, and they acknowledged. Today I received a call from a member of their staff, and I informed him that my daughter has been out with the flu. He then informed me that our trial had expired. I told him I thought the trial was based on the amount of classes attended, he then stated he could give me two sessions, and then in the same breath asked if I would be staying with the school. I was so surprised by the details of our conversation that I initially said yes, but then I immediately snapped back to reality. I told him I felt that it was bad business at which point he became argumentative. I stated the obviousness of what had just happened and that I wasn't going to argue about it any further. If he has the authority to make these decisions on behalf of the school, I know where they stand on this matter - awesome, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
