It's much more rural area than we live in for sure. When you come to our football games, the sponsors are dentist offices, cleaning ladies, appliance stores. It was interesting to see that their sponsors are businesses like, farming, rototilling service, propane services. Not far from home but certainly and different lifestyle and that's great. They had a nice snack bar for the attendees and lots of room for the kids who were not interested in watching the game, to run around. I'm happy to go back again next year. It was a fun away game for us! Bring your chairs and canopies if you are a visitor.

I visited their website, filled out the application and submitted the records they needed. I was notified that my application was accepted and being processed. About a week before school was set to start, we were contacted by our ES (educational specialist) and set up our first meeting. At our first meeting, we finished filling out paperwork, discussed by views of education and how I envisioned my children being educated and the methods I find most compelling. I have never felt anything other than supported and cared for by our ES (the fabulous Mrs. Ward). She has processed our curriculum requests quickly and gotten them to us as soon as they have come in. She has met with us monthly, gone over our learning goals and helped us to meet the standards. I've felt respected and supported by our ES and South Sutter Charter. We have attended two GEA's so far (Group Educational Activities), to the Sacramento Zoo and the Yosemite Nature Bridge program. Both activities were well planned, organized, and safe. The level of communication from the various department heads and coordinators is great via email. We get weekly/monthly helpful tips and website resources. Overall, I am VERY pleased with our choice.

Some of the stories parents pass around were terrifying. My little one is just finishing the first trimester of his first year of middle school. And his experience has been amazing. He loves his curriculum, his teachers and his friends. I would never wish to discount someone's personal firsthand experience if it was negative, but the gap between rumors and reality has been astonishing. We love this school!

I'd had my teenage son in Cobblestone for 4 years was unsatisfied. I very much recommend Rio instead.
