HORRIBLE. Employees are so rude!! We were mistaken on a policy, and we were fine with that! We apologized for our mistake and asked how to get a refund. We were met with horrible disrespect, we were loudly talked at, clapped at, and told we were going to be kicked out. We didn't get the workers name but she was in a wheelchair and had purple hair. We tried to watch a rated R movie with a parent giving permission, she was so disrespectful when telling us we can't. Stopped by to see Wicked. Purchased our tickets ahead of time to get seats together. Easy confirmation on our phone to show the ticket guy. There was a long line for snacks but it went fast. You can also order from inside the movie and go out to pick it up. Disappointed with our first bucket of popcorn cause it was burnt but we went back out and got a free refill. Overall, we really enjoy coming to Marcus and it is typically our go-to theater. It always seems clean and well cared for, the DreamLounger seats are awesome, and the popcorn is always fresh. Ticket prices are pretty standard for this area (ticket prices and specials in the photos) plus they also have a discount for Mayo Clinic employees. If you're going to be a repeat movie-goer, they also offer an unlimited refill plastic bucket that lasts for a year, for $25. Refills are $4.50 each visit. There's a small game room area for kids, and a cool little "drive-in" area in the lobby with classic car seating and a giant screen showing previews. They also have an IMAX theater for an extra charge. Great family fun spot! read more

This theater was dirty in the common areas and not well kept. Garbages were overflowing. Concession surfaces were not clean. Old food and grime all over the counters, and the lid dispensers look like they have never been cleaned. Many flies buzzing around the food areas. If the theater reads this, teenagers were standing at the side doors by theater number 4 letting their friends come in without paying. On a positive note-the temperature of the theater was nice and not freezing. Popcorn was good and the prices were not as outrageous as I have seen at other theaters. I wouldn't choose this theater again. read more

Great location near Rochester, MN. airport to make time watching Downton Abbey; New Era while waiting for our flight.

This is a great theater compared to what is available where I am from. The actual rating I was very surprised on once I went into this theater. So in town for the male clinic and decided to go see a movie to get to get our mind off things. We ordered our tickets online instantly greeted instantly shown where our theater was. When walking in and I noticed is very clean there are a bunch of arcade games over to the right which I think is wonderful for kids and maybe adults. And to the left there's a big screen in an area to sit down and have your little snack that you get from the concession bar while on the big screen is an old movie. The tables are shaped like cars it's very cute it's set up like a drive-in. Concession stands for your normal concession stands no issues there. But what got me was the chairs in this movie theater. I think they're called dream saver chairs. They are the bomb! They're huge they're cushioning either comfortable. And there's lots of room to have them fully out where people can get up and go past you easily. Everything was nice and clean. Sound and comfort watching movie was excellent. read more

One of my favorite, well balanced movie theaters in Rochester, I have heard that they will be getting reclining chairs. I love the IMAX it's the only one in town. They also have the best games to play. They serve ice cream but I have yet to really try the food at a movie theater, somehow it just sounds wrong. They also have a 3D screen to let you know. I like to go on Tuesday they have $5 and $6 dollar tickets. That also have membership cards that get you money, popcorn, and free movies problem is that they expire way too fast if you don't use them. read more

The entire movie cinema is unorganized, and dirty. Upon entering, you are instantly greeted by flies who don't like to leave you alone at any point of your experience. The staff was unfriendly. The actual theater we were in (IMAX) was extremely dirty from the prior movie(s). It truly looked as if nobody had cleaned it for a full day, if not longer. There are no frozen cokes, which is disappointing and highly unusual for a movie theater. There were no previews or trivia before the movie started, which is odd. The seats do not recline, and the 'heater' does not work. The popcorn is good, and the movie itself was the only positive takeaway from the experience. read more

This is Rochester's latest theater, and the best (by a long shot). I've been to Chteau and CineMagic before, but they just don't compare. While it's a little more expensive than the other two, it's well worth it. Why? A completely digital experience. No film. No graininess. No flickering. Just pure digital video goodness. The audio system's also better than the other two. As an added bonus to the amazing A/V experience, you get to watch previews in the lobby in the 50s drive in style cafe. read more

It's good, great and friendly staff. It's clean and nice. The chairs are not reclining or leather or lazy boy like in the Paragon 14, but that's OK. They do have the IMAX as well. Food wise, they have some options but not a lot and not great quality. They've got more options relative to other cinemas in town. They're also bigger in size and capacity. read more

Rochester's newest theater and a welcome edition. Theaters are large, nice stadium seating, great picture and sound. My favorite part about this theater is their free kid's matinee on Saturday mornings. As someone with kids and on a limited budget, its great to be able to take them minus the admission fee and get some popcorn and drinks. Chateau Theater up north has a similar deal each Saturday, but this is much less crowded. read more

Food was good but prices are a little high it cost me 20 dollars for popcorn and pop, guy at the ticket counter was really friendly and helpful, if you are a bigger guy like I am you might have difficultly with the recliner seats, there a little narrow and I kept hitting the button so the entire movie my chair was going up and down super annoying and made me feel really bad about myself lol but otherwise the movie was great service was really great. read more

Movie theater was fine. Seats & area were moderately clean. However the concession line took a lot longer than it should have. As I was standing in line I noticed there was a total of 3 employees behind the counter + the manager who was standing around having a conversation with 2 of them. The third employee was the only person taking & putting together orders for the line. I overheard the manager ask the other 2 "are you signed into a register?" to which they both replied "no." And he manager did nothing to help himself?! No one thought to help out by putting the orders together for the cashier. This theater is rarely busy and you can usually get a decent seat. Ticket prices are comparable with the other theaters in town for a regular show (not IMAX movies). They recently merged with Marcus and I think their service/overall experience went downhill a bit. The theaters and bathrooms are always dirty. The food leaves something to be desired, which is disappointing because we've had great food at other Marcus theaters. There is a game area in the lobby and plenty of parking. There are a few restaurants close by if you wanted to grab a bite before a movie. read more

Omg! I have been going to this cinema for 8yers straight now. I used to love the place...reasonable price, recognizable workers...now that Marcus has bought the only thing I like is the new theater look and loungers. The raised the prices on the food and scrimp back on how much and quality they give you in the hot food. They no longer offer free flavored shaker toppings for the popcorn. You have to buy them (I bring mine in now in my purse). The workers there are less than personable anymore. I will only be going to this theater during the international film festival. This was a relatively clean theater with comfortable seats and an IMAX. I didn't see a movie in the IMAX, but the regular screens are well taken care of and the sound system is high quality. They have good popcorn and beer on tap which is fun. It's a well maintained and friendly theatre. read more

Had probably the worst movie watching experience of my life here today. Almost everything that could be bad about it, was. Started out with the previews being way too quiet to where you could hardly hear them, and the lights still being on during the first 5 minutes of the movie. Then, the projectionist had a light on in the booth where it shined a perfect square in the middle of the screen for at least half the movie. They were also listening to some kind of sports game in the booth where it could be heard in the back row of the theater. Then of course the couple next to me were talking and using their phones, so after about an hour of dealing with it, I had enough, so I left and grabbed an assistant manger. She walked in and told them please stop, and left. They continued talking anyways so her warning didn't help at all. Then, to top it off, the lights came back on with about five minutes left in the movie. Overall terrible, and I will not be coming back. I'll be sticking to Chateau in the NE from now on. read more

The floor behind the concessions counter is disgusting. They don't clean up after themselves at all, so therefore I'd assume they don't clean the machines properly. The bathroom stall doors don't all have the locks on them. I am told that the womens restrooms are the same and they have to line up to use the couple of stalls that have latches. Although the screens and sound were great, the floors in the theater were sticky and lots of trash behind the seats. I recommend you never eat here. Don't drink the soda, the nozzles appear very dirty also. The theater is nice looking though just not maintained at all!!! read more

I brought my nieces here for a 3d movie and we had a blast. I love the "drive in" lobby, the girls also played in the arcade for quite a while after the movie, and the picture and sound was amazing, seating is very comfortable also. My favorite theater in Rochester, even though it is a little spendy. The concessions were ok, I don't know if I'd buy dinner there again, maybe just stick to the popcorn & candy. read more

Purchased a ticket for a 3D movie earlier this morning. I went to the theater to print my ticket and get my glasses. Was told by the staff they SWITCHED ALL 3D SHOWINGS TO 2D. They never notified me and will not give me a full refund, even after they acknowledged that the price I paid was for a 3D showing. Completely unacceptable when they were 100% in the wrong. Will not use this theater again and I strongly suggest that no one else does either. read more

Love this place. I went to the first showing of the day and my ticket was only $5, so I have to say that was a win. Didn't get any snacks because I just had lunch before I arrived, but there is a good selection from what I saw. Also there are A LOT of games to play before and after the movie. There's even a two lane bowling alley! The seating is great, no bad seats because it's stadium seating. Also the chairs were the most comfortable movie theatre chairs I've ever sat in. Everything is way too overpriced. All of the pop was warm and flat. The nachos were old and stale. The popcorn tasted old too. I got mac n cheese bites for $9. I thought at that price I should be getting a normal amount. Nope only got 6. So I paid $1.50 per mac n cheese bite! Ridiculous! And they had jalapenos in them, which should have been advertised. The staff were rude too. The guy taking our order was chatting with another employing while taking our order. And they kept acting like we were interrupting their conversation by ordering our food. Much more expensive than the other two in Rochester. It is also a bit nicer currently because it's newer, but having to pay $8 to bring a four year old to a daytime matinee (vs free/2-5$ elsewhere) doesn't make me worry too much about the quality of the seats. This place is so neat! Much better than anything we've got at home. Ronnie's Drive-In (which is the concession area) has great food for being at a movie theater but it's a little pricey. The dining area has some of those little classic car booths, which I love! And they serve beer and wine, which is unheard of where I'm from! Will be visiting this place as many times as possible while we're up here! read more
