We've seen several movies here. Alway enjoy going to a movie theater. Love the reclining Seats. Some could use a makeover and some new coverings due to lots of use. Good times!

think there's only one theater with the comfy recliner chairs, the others have the old school chairs, need I say more. I won't be back.

Saw, "Won't You Be My Neighbor", has seats in the front row and because of the loungers it didn't even matter that we were so close!

Pretty neat theater (RIP AMC theater of my childhood!) It's eerily the same, and also wildly…read moredifferent. I do miss the constellations on the ceiling at the concessions. Showing tickets at concessions was a little confusing, I was used to the ticket office. We did ScreenPlay for the kids could play 30 minutes before and after Mario 3. Super fun! The movie was great, the seats were comfy, and the kids had the best time at the playground. The ticket prices were reasonable given the extra play. Highly recommend. Full circle to take my childhood theater and convert it to my kids theater for memories.

Though the parking lot it looks like a sketchy, tired old building with almost no investment on the exterior. Walking in feels like you've stepped into a zombie movie lobby faded ticket stands, old school vibes, and no polish whatsoever. Then you walk past all that and boom, it turns into something completely different. Inside is this weird oasis of a theater that looks like they didn't spare any expense once you're past the front door. The staff are friendly, and the vibe feels more like a boutique cinema than what the outside suggests. The thing that sets this place apart for me is their specialty auditoriums. I went to see a movie in their 4D theater one night, and it was a whole different level of experience. The seats move with the action, you get blasted with air and mist during scenes, 3-D glasses enhance the effect, and little vibrators under your feet make explosions feel real. After that, I don't think I'll ever watch a straight action movie anywhere else. That's just one of the unique theaters they have. They've got several themed and kid-friendly auditoriums, including one with a built-in playground for families. It's clear they put real thought into giving different audiences something special. If you're judging this theater by its exterior, you'll miss out. Go inside, try one of the immersive auditoriums, and you'll see why I keep coming back.

We still love coming here. Seeing a movie on a big screen still appeals to us…read more Marcus Majestic is arguably the best large theater on this side of town. Parking is plentiful and it's easy to find. Plenty of movies to view on big screens, seated comfortably. Even the lower seats have a good view. Refreshments now have a single line, which seems easier and more fair to all to me. They have all the treats we appreciate, including Rockstar sodas for me. They still have the lounge, which we've enjoyed previously. Pricy, but convenient and well served. Still one of my favorites!

Updating this review as I recently went to a movie at this Marcus theater location and had a pretty…read moregood experience. This place has changed a lot since it used to be 20 grand, but it's a pretty typical movie theater experience. The main difference was the seating. There's a leather-like covering over all the chairs in the theater, and they recline. This makes for a much more comfortable viewing experience. I haven't been to a lot of movies in the last several years, so maybe this is standard now, but it was a nice change. The only negative was that we had to switch seats three times. The first time we sat down my husband and I noticed that the armrest between us was broken. Not just a little loose, but like it was barely hanging on with a thread. So we picked another pair of seats, but before we sat down, we noticed that they both looked really sticky, like someone had wiped some sticky candy residue on them or something. Finally, we picked another pair of seats that were clean, but one of the recliners was really jerky and didn't work very well. Eventually, we found some seats that were clean and were in good working order, and were able to enjoy the movie. The restroom wasn't dirty, but it definitely has a lot of wear and tear. I guess I would say that about the whole facility... It could use some updating and TLC. Everything just seems dated and very well used.

(Just a note before we begin, and to be completely above board, I was a judge for the Omaha Film…read moreFestival for a few years, but this is an unbiased review from an attendee perspective to the festival in categories I did not judge/after I hung up my judging cap!) So I just want to begin by saying, Omaha is VERY lucky to have a film festival like this in our own town, especially one that is so well organized and features local filmmakers as well as national filmmakers. They have even had some Oscar winning shorts shown at the Omaha Film Festival before they won their big awards. The cost of admission is very reasonable for all that you get out of this festival. You can buy individual tickets if there are certain films/blocks you're interested in, or you can spring for the All Films pass and bop from theater to theater to things you like and make up your mind as you go. They have a little something for everyone, like a few blocks of shorts, feature length films, a Writer's Theater where the winning scripts and screenplays are read, as well as Q&As with some of the filmmakers. They've had some amazing guests, such as Shane Black, Mauro Fiore, Famke Jansson, and the animator Bill Plympton. Some of my favorite films I've seen at the festival (ones that you would recognize) were Obvious Child, Hotel Mumbai, and Score: A Music Film Documentary. This is a great way for local filmmakers to get their movies shown to an audience, as well as some larger independent filmmakers who wish to have their movies shown at local festivals, and not just the giant ones in LA or New York. There are also a few things the Omaha Film Festival runners host outside of the actual festival. They refer to themselves sometimes as a "teaching festival" and I can totally see why. They have the OFF Academy which hosts middle- and high-school students for two days of behind the scenes filmmaking processes. They also do a 48-Hour Film Challenge each year, which offers local filmmakers the chance to create a short with a specific prop and line of dialogue. They haven't shoot, edit, and complete it all within 48 hours! So aside from being a fun film festival, they also do a lot for the community throughout the year, and not just during the week of the festival each year. I will just conclude my review by reiterating that I think this festival is a super neat thing we have in the Omaha community, for film lovers or just people looking to try out a film festival for the first time!
