My husband had the Iberian pork and really enjoyed it, and I absolutely loved my octopus. It was probably some of the best I have ever had. For dessert we had cheesecake and it was just as divine. Modern and airy, tables are well spaced, and the decor is very muted and subtle, but rich. The service is amazing. We were a table of 8 and everyone who came to the table was so nice, helpful, friendly and accommodating. I'm sure waiters hate having to take pics of everyone, but ours were fantastic about it. But all that aside, the food is incredible. I had Iberico pork that was so succulent, seared nicely and roasted (I assume). We all shared some steak tartare, tuna tartare and an amazing cheeseboard. Drinks were also on point. I really love it here and have added it to my "must do" list in Porto.

    Nice vibes...but beware…read more I have dined at Grigio during the multiple times I have visited Porto. I typically order the same thing and it usually ranges from decent to very good. However, I forgot that they are tricky. Upon being seated, they will bring a small basket of bread (three half slices of toast and a couple oversized thin crackers). They call this "Couvert". They will stand there with the bread and say something like "I have some bread for you" or "Would you like some bread?" They do not mention the charge of €3.50, but it is on the menu to order. But typically, you have yet to look at the menu to see it on there by the time it is presented to you. So who knows how many people have been fooled by this. Instead of letting people order a starter if they want, they are brought this bread by default. During my most recent visit, I noticed a couple who picked up a tip left on their table because they were unaware of the charge when they got their final bill. I will most likely never dine there again. But let this be a warning to those visiting Porto who decide to dine there. The pizza is good, but there is better in the area. My review is heavily weighted towards a 3 due to how they conduct their business.

We arrived at 12:05 pm, second in line behind a group of 8. Seated 20 minutes later in cozy quarters. Fresh rustic bread on the table. Menu difficult to decipher but we had a translated copy on our phones. We ordered a jug of house tinto, and half orders of aporcolhados mushrooms, roasted wild boar and grilled ribs with special sauce. The kind waiter said we ordered too much, we didn't agree until a huge crock of rice and beans hit the table with the 2 meat dishes. The mushrooms were cooked with bits of meat and bone as well as slices of traditional and blood sausage. Fabulous! I loved the tender boar slices accompanied by roasted cabbage and potatoes. Lisa favored the slightly charred ribs in a spicy vinegary sauce. Oh, and that rice, I promised her I wouldn't post the photo of her devouring the last bits from the serving ladle. So, too much food? This is the type you spend a lot of time nibbling on and trying to get every last piece of meat out. It was incredibly flavorful with hints of bone broth, truffle oil, and various spices. I think I spent like 5 minutes on each piece trying to get every piece of meat out. It came out piping hot, the fresh aroma smelled like a mix of beans, thyme, garlic, and truffle and I smelled like it afterwards. The lamb stew was also delicious. I am allergic to lamb but had to try it this time and was not disappointed. This is the only time I've actually liked a lamb dish because the gamey flavor was not there. It was cooked very well. The vomit dessert was not too sweet and unique. It cut through the savory food I just had here. Quantity- all of this for 25 euros. Totally worth it. This would have easily gone for 70-80 dollars back in the states. We get a lot in each dish. Atmosphere- loved the college town vibe here. The place was cozy but had enough space so we weren't cramped. Service- awesome waiter. He was funny and gave great suggestions on what to get. Tipped him a lot for the fantastic service.

I must've walked by this place a couple of times before deciding I wanted to check it out on my trip in Porto. Best decision ever! They are known for seafood in porto. I was able to try the cod risotto and a glass of wine (naturally in Europe) I'm still dreaming of the risotto to this day! This cute restaurant was in a little alley close to the main streets so it's pretty easy to find. It's always packed full of people. The staff is very attentive. They even have blankets to keep you warm if you're sitting outside. I recommend this place if you're in the area!

The green dipping sauce I can't quite describe it but worked well with the tempura. As a first bite, we enjoyed it. 4.5 stars My wife had the salada de salmao (salmon salad). It was in a bowl, nicely plated with generous amount of thin salmon along with avocado. I didn't try it but wife enjoyed her salad. As for me, I got the naco de vazia c vinho de Porto. (Sirloin steak with port wine). It included a small salad and fries that reminded me of In N Out fries. The steak tasted great and the sauce had a nice gravy taste but very subtle with the port wine. I enjoyed it. 5 stars. The check came in a book and you can pay cash or credit card which we chose card. Overall, it was a great first meal at Porto. Would come back in the future.
