I'm always in the mood for some shopping, so we thought it would be a good place to at least check out - so off we went. Maremagnum is essentially a large shopping mall. It's broken up into several stories with its layout being typical of other malls I've been to. The content of stores was a mix of familiar ones and others I had never heard of before. Probably the most noteworthy thing IMO is a large TimeOut market on the top floor which houses several eateries. Overall, I didn't think there was anything too noteworthy about Maremagnum - it's biggest attribute for me was that it's right on the water so you have great views. Outside of that, it seems like a good place to gather to shop and dine - I just wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Bulevard Rosa is a small shopping centre in Barcelona, located on the Passeig de Gracia, which is…read moreone of the biggest and more famous shopping streets in the Catalan Capital. I visited here nearly two months ago now, but memories of this shopping centre still are on my mind, it isn't the nicest of shopping centres, the shops tend to be more closed than open, rather than bright and vibrant as one would associate in a UK/US mall or even the CC Diagonal Mall elsewhere in Barcelona. The decor inside feels old and it feels like they haven't done much to make it look modern, so it was more of a place I decided to go in and out, rather than a place to spend more time. There are some shops here such as Mary's and Nespresso but most of the shops here, can be found elsewhere in Barcelona, perhaps within walking distance, so the selection is average, perhaps not even that at most. Overall, there are many malls and many shops in Barcelona, some even nearby and this sadly doesn't offer much in comparison to the others which is a real shame, hence I feel hasn't got anything to offer which stands out to the competition, hence sadly deserving a single one star rating.

This time we browsed each of the 6+ floors they have and realized they stock a huge selection of fashion, shoes, home items and food goods. I was very impressed at the quality of their goods and the friendly service of all associates in each department. The highlight was visiting their cafe restaurant on the top floor. They had everything from paella, pizza & pasta, Asian, baked goods to desserts. The dining area with its expansive views was worth the visit alone.

The main businesses there are a movie theater, a huge supermarket, and a bunch of fast food style restaurants. You will not really see any international chains here like you would in a typical American mall. It is mostly just local Spanish businesses. I came for two reasons: 1. I really wanted to buy a good leather bag from Spain for work. 2. Spain is the place for leather So I did my research and really liked their Slang Collection which I viewed on their website. I was greeted upon entering and proceeded to the back of the store to view it. There are several lovely pieces for men and women. I tried numerous leather crossbody, found too heavy. The Slang really laid right on my frame. The colors for fall are beautiful: deep burgundy, stone, khaki and black. I purchased the crossbody I saw online plus a nice wallet. Total cost @75 euros. They do sell luggage, scarves and other accessories. I was also given a VAT form to get tax refund on my way back to NY. Nice customer service: was told how to clean my bag( baby wipes, go figure!)

There was only a small amount of stores here including Vision, Clarks, Foot Locker, Starbucks and Camper to quote the brands which are also in the UK. The Starbucks was actually quite well hidden into the corner and there were some big names closeby to the shopping centre including Burger King and Mcdonald's. I am struggling to comment further on El Triangle as it is just a small shopping centre with a few shops, I didn't really see anything fantastic about it to make it a place one should actually go out of their way to visit and I'm also struggling to think of a reason why this place doesn't deserve a single one star, hence that is the rating I feel this place deserves, but to the higher end of the one star scale.
