See below the photo of the haircut i requested, and the haircut i received. She didn't even blend the fade. Absolutely awful. When i went to pay, the owner asked if i was satisfied. I showed him the photo of the haircut i requested, and let him know that i was unhappy. He informed me that she was new, which unfortunately is not an excuse. A new barber should be an apprentice until they are ready to cut hair. At that point i just needed to leave and asked how much i owed them, and the owner said that it was on the house. Not a good experience, and would not recommend.

I decided to spend a few days near Sorrento before my international meeting near Rome and realized when I walked by the shop that my beard could use a trim. I went in both expecting them to be booked up and at the very minimum just a quick scissor cut around my fluffy beard to catch the fly always. What happened next was nothing short of magic. They were able to get me in one of their classic barber chairs within an hour. The place was phenomenally decorated with antiques and vintage prints and equipment: everything you would expect a classic Italian barbershop to look like. Salvatore, who took care of me, was absolutely amazing. In addition to the scissor cut for shaping, my beard and face were totally pampered: this included a facial, microdermabrasion abrasion, multiple steam treatments, and aromatic treatment with the choice of one of their product line. I went with the earthy wood scented option. It was brushed in, lathered in, waxed in, and sprayed in. You might be thinking that would be way too much or the scent was overwhelming. In fact it was the opposite. In conjunction with the constant steam I ended up being very relaxed. Salvatore even cleaned up around my hairline. It ended with my choice of whiskey or espresso: I opted for the espresso to combat the jet lag. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone wishing to pamper themselves and come out looking fresh and clean. I only regret I am not staying long to see what magic they would do my hair.
