We have had Marett do several projects at our home. Kitchen and bathroom countertops, sinks and fixtures, replacing our upstairs carpet with hardwood and kitchen backsplash install. All of the work done was outstanding. The sales team and installers were always very professional. I only needed carpet for one room. I went with a low price per sq ft carpet because the room may be gutted of the plaster, insulated properly, rewired and dry walled in the next year or so........maybe two years depending on schedule :) I didn't want to spend a bunch of money for such a short term but the room really needed fresh paint and the old nasty carpet out. (kids, pets and 7 years old). I couldn't have a nice Christmas looking at the room in the condition it was in. I didn't spend much with them but I was treated as if I did. The salesman, Gary, was great and Roy, who installed the carpet, was great, and a very nice person. I'm kind of a "do it yourselfer", when I can....... but if you can't or just want great service, go to Marett-Carpet One. read more

We got several quotes for a total carpet replacement in our 2400 SF home, and went with Marett because they were competitive and locally owned. Their service was reputed to be good, and they were flexible with the schedule. However, my first and most important question was whether they could seam a large room so that the seam was not visible to me - something that bothered me about our previous carpet. I was assured that was not a problem, that their installers had more than 30 years' experience and was a real pro. The installation went well, and their team was professional and polite, although they would have had to start very young to have gained 30 years' experience at this work. They cleaned up after themselves and were considerate regarding our animals and our schedule. They even came back when we installed a new door and cut and retacked the carpet around it, and at no charge. However, about 2 months after the install, I was vacuuming and I noticed the seam in the family room was indeed visible. I took a picture and sent it to Marett, and they agreed to send out a guy to look at it, who then sent the repair team. That team's fix was to trim the carpet with scissors. We weren't happy with that so we stopped them and called the store. They agreed to send out an independent inspector to take a look. Their inspector came out, took some very dark pics, and concluded it was all just dandy, and installed properly. I am sure he feels it was, but the commitment was to ensure that I didn't see a visible seam in that room. To be clear, I don't even know where the seams are in the rest of the house, except where the carpet changes between the hallway and the bedroom. If I could, I would simply think the guys didn't know how to do a seam, but I can't, so I know they do. Anyway, we spent more than $12k on this carpet, and aren't particularly happy with that room. I don't have the money or the time to have it redone (I'm still paying off this bill), so I have no choice but to live with it the way it is, and be reminded of that faulty assurance every time I see it. Again - good people, good service, but the commitment made to me was not honored. Live and learn. read more

Nice enough people and many choices is the good thing about this business. But, installation takes a long time. Up to SIX weeks! I felt they "took" me on the cost too. Learn from my mistake . You may want to shop elsewhere. read more

We have slowly replaced our flooring in most rooms due to purchasing a spec home with lower quality carpet and tile. We chose Marett Carpet for all of the replacement carpeting and have been happy with the quality, excellent installation and service in the store with selections. We will continue to go to Marett Carpet with future purchases. read more
