Goal #1 was to print out the IRS EIN# for my new biz, as well as a few other documents. Goal #2 was to scan those documents down to an email. Goal #3 was to hopefully obtain some paperwork that would explain this particular library circulation policy. The customer service and staff here were solid and answered all of my questions as it pertained to the various loans, renewals, overdue materials, etc. The library itself is clean and they do a good job of maintaining a quiet, and productive atmosphere. And although I didn't see any today, on occasion it looks like they have security here. Would highly recommend.

There is so much seating area, tables so you can study and get homework done or just research. They have these cool little rooms if you needed to have a study group or small meetings as well. They do have a bigger auditorium for events or just conferences. Their bathrooms they have to buzz you in just because there are many homeless that tend to hang here. There are also other bathrooms that are kid friendly and you need a key for those. Their kid area is great and lots of fun books and areas for them to study and they also have computers you can check out for homework and fun games. I come here once a week and love it!

Almost everyone has their head down working on homework. - The library has CLICC - Campus Library Instructional Computing Commons - where you can borrow a laptop with your Bruincard. https://www.library.ucla.edu/about/programs/campus-library-instructional-computing-commons-clicc/ - There are study rooms and pods for group study or working on group projects - reservations required and spaces book quickly so plan ahead if possible. The lower level area is another great place to go for quiet study but do explore the upper floors filled with books. - Lockers are also available though I've never used one. (Check the school website below or ask a staff member for more information.) - YRL has a library special collections (LSC) section for researchers who need to access to archival materials. The website provides guidance on how to gain access. https://www.library.ucla.edu/help/lsc-materials/ This is a good place for resources for students, faculty, and staff who study humanities, public affairs, etc. and there's a convenient coffee bar inside. The children's section is particularly impressive, featuring a massive selection of reading materials and a dedicated playground area that keeps kids entertained. It is the perfect local spot for a productive afternoon or a fun family outing. The weekly programming is fantastic, especially the monthly Chinese story time. We recently attended a session led by Lily, who was wonderful with the children. She used a great mix of storytelling about caterpillars and fruit along with high-energy songs and movement. It was such a joy to watch my granddaughter get involved and follow along with all the actions. The facility is very well-designed for convenience, including the easy underground parking right beneath the building. Whether you are looking for a quiet place to read or an engaging activity for the grandkids, this library is a true gem in the Peninsula area. It's a wonderful community resource that we look forward to visiting every week.
