In my experience the doctors are sympathetic and have time to listen. Plenty of clinics available e.g. diabetic, anti-natal etc. They also offer acupuncture on the NHS (I've used it a couple of times for pain relief when nothing else worked). They have recently introduced the facility to order repeat prescriptions online via their website - a fantastic idea in my opinion because the prescription telephone line was always busy. The only negative I would give is that the telephone line is always busy when trying to book an appointment. If they offered a facility to book appointments online (as some practices already do) I would give them 5 stars.

Now ive found the cosmetic clinic i wont be going anywhere else definately my favourite Cinic with a pleasant room which is spotlessly clean and relaxing to be in and friendly staff. There is a small car park at the rear of the surgery and also a huge car park around the back of the good news centre which is opposite to the surgery. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to support you through issues. they have a very usefull out of hours automated phone service so you can book and cancel appointments at awkward times of the day. They have a small play area for children to play in while waiting for appointments and also their own pharmacy

As is the case with most practices, there is a wait for a routine appointment -about 2-3 weeks last time I tried to see my doctor, although it is quicker if you just see the next available doctor. Emergency appointments are available the same day if you ring and book it early enough. There is a self checking in system which helps cut down the time of waiting for an available receptionist. Patients are notified that they are to go to the doctors room by a LCD display so you can just sit there waiting for your turn. Sometimes the appointments can be a little delayed, the most I've had to wait is about an hour past my allotted time but this was due to an earlier emergency. Repeat prescriptions can be ordered in person or over the phone and sent straight through to the pharmacy next door, this usually takes a couple of days. Midwives and health visitors are usually very good. The HV's run free classes on baby massage which is a very nice way to interact with your new baby. All in all very good all round doctor's surgery. Deducted one star for the delay in getting routine appointments.

The surgery is quite large with an adjoining pharmacy. Service here is ok, the addition of an automated service to book in and make appointments, and an over head screen displaying your name when it is your turn to see the doctor can be a bit impersonal and despite the receptionists best efforts it is difficult for elderly people to understand. Personally I dont like the system. The doctors are good if you see the right one, most of the permanent doctors here are exellent however some of the temporary doctors take little time to listen to concerns and problems before making a diagnosis. On the whole however the surgery is a good one and waiting times are not too long.

Swine Flu Vaccinations are taken place here at this surgery now. This is particularly for those people who are 65 years of age or older and women who are pregnant. You need to go to the surgery to make an urgent appointment. The building has access for disabled patients, but be aware that this is located through their car park at the rear. All records for every individual are kept confidential and this company is a part of the NHS. I recommend this place to all locals to use as the staff are very caring and kind.
