If you have a small dog you want to socialize, don't waste your time going to this park. Even though there's one dedicated small dog park out of 5 separate sections the rule is not followed by large dog owners. On top of that, the owners of the large rougher playing dogs do not effectively control their animals. I was told in a very rude manner by the large dog owners in the small dog park that they do this everyday so therefore it's okay. It's a shame for us because it's a beautiful park which we can't enjoy due to bad entitled behavior of lazy large dog owners. Update: The community center doesn't have park rangers to enforce these rules, unfortunately. However, they do highly recommend calling the non-emergency sheriff to come out. They told me this has been a big problem and were very sorry about it. read more

Great park for small and large dogs and dog owners. Sadly, Medium size dogs and dogs with very gentle nature's are kind of left out. The group that meets there in the small dog area, with their medium size dogs meet at a usual time in the morning (8 to about 11:30) so their dogs can have a safe play time too. We could all enjoy the park if people would find it in their hearts to try to accommodate all sizes of dogs safely. read more

I apologize to all the little dog owners! I have a 47 pound Bernedoodle and there are five fenced areas for dogs at this park. Only one of them is for small dogs 35 pounds and under. Anyway, I brought my dog the other day, and the 35lb small area was full of big dogs and a few small dogs. The other areas for the big dogs were empty. So, wanting my dog to be able to play, I took him to the small dog area. My dog is a doodle and he's friendly with every dog, small or large, but that's no excuse for me bringing him in the little dog area. While I was there, this big muscular dog ran across the park, jumped on my dog, pinned him down and attacked him to where my dog was crying and bleeding. Yes the owner was apologetic, but it shook me up so bad, I left. If that dog would have attacked one of the smaller dogs, it probably would've killed it. That was wrong of me, bringing my dog into the small dog area in the first place. I should've respected the rules! Shame on me. And shame on you, all the other big dog owners that bring your big dogs into the small dog area. People with small dogs have a right to feel comfortable taking their dogs to this park and your big dogs can do some harm and they should not be in there! I hope karma is a bitch to YOU someday! Needless to say, from now on, I'll take my dog to one of the large dog areas, when there are no scary looking dogs in there! The park itself is nice and all the fenced in areas are nice. Very well maintained. Fun for my small dog. Seems people have respect for each other and their pets. Convenient parking and convenient hours. I really like this park. Wish they'd reopen the small side. All other areas have big dogs and there is no areas for small dogs other than the closed area. I tried to go to another area but all had big dogs with owners that were too busy talking and not watching their dogs harass my small dogs or taking the time to be responsible enough to pick up their dogs poop. I witnessed several dogs pooping within 10 feet of these people and not one of the probably 20 people picked up after their dogs. Seems like a group of regulars, they were in the area to the right of the restrooms. Please post if anyone knows when they will reopen. The little dog area has obstacle courses and a ton of grass and shade... the big dog park is bare, hot and boring. I'm new to the area and wanted to take my sweet Piper to the local dog park. This is the closest dog park to my house so I figured I would give it a try despite some of the reviews the park has. I arrived and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. It's a beautiful park, lots of dog bowls filled with water, and some scattered toys for the pups. I went in the early evening and there was a good amount of people with their dogs. Since Piper and I are new to this park/ area I decided to introduce myself to some of the locals. I met a few potential friends which was awesome. While sitting on the bench watching my dog, a blonde lady introduces herself. I was a bit skeptical since she looked like the lady from the pictures, but I'm no one to judge. After some small talk she had asked me if I wanted to join her "pup shmuck" group. I had no idea what that was, but she so adamantly explained it to me without hesitation. She called herself and her group " the shmucks" and she was the "shmuckmaster" which I'm assuming is the leader? I felt super awkward and wanted the conversation to end, but she kept going despite my uncomfortable body language. She told me that her goal was to run everyone out of this dog park and to rule it. I obviously said I was uninterested and that doesn't sound very kind. After I had rejected her invitation to join her group she said that my 10 lb. dog was "too big" to be at the small dog park and that "autistic dogs aren't allowed". I was livid, but I wasn't going to create any drama. I picked up Piper and we left. I only come back during the day while the "Pup Shmucks" aren't there. Overall it's a great dog park, but I would recommend going when the Shmuckmaster isn't there. read more

This Park has a great group of people that come to exercise the fur babies. Recently they seem to be having some kind of trouble with both areas. Heard it was grass had something wrong with it. Very nice dog park. Super clean! Completely fenced in and double-gated. I didn't even need to bring toys or water because there was plenty of both. Lots of dog bowls for your pet to drink from. I've only been a few times and sadly on both visits someone had to bring their very small dog into the large dog area insisting they love the large dogs (my dog is medium size, young and isn't too fond of the little guys...hence why we're in the large area). I was under the impression, since it's the large dog area, she'd be fine to play. We had to leave early on both occasions because of this. I would never bring her into the small dog area so I was disappointed in some of the dog owners and their blatant disrespect for this issue even after I reiterate it. I love this dog park. But there is a group of people there a circle of friends that goes to the small dog park. They are some Nasty people they will out cast you and make your dog feel that they don't belong there. Dogs play! its a dog park it is a place for dogs to socialize. My dogs are not aggresive. My dogs like to chase other dogs and play. but they always yell at my dog but when other dogs doing the same thing they don't say anything since the owner know each other. My dogs I never have problems at other dog park and even on the dog beach. But men some people on this park are just mean! And that Lady named Yolanda thinks she owns the park she act like the park police to other dogs that they don't know and make contact with their dogs out of that friends circle. Sooo teritorial! I want to make it clear though that not all of the people that goes there are mean. We love dogs and this is our fifth rescue dog. As far as the park it is nice and well kept! its green and a lot of space for the dogs to run. read more

This dog park is big but if you have a small dog beware, nobody listens to the signs ! A ton of big dogs were on the small dogs side because their dogs are "friendly". Even if friendly If they played with my tiny 7 pound dog she would get squished or injured. Wasn't worth the risk that's why there's divided sides! The pet owners who come here are pleasant & pick up after their dogs. So no poop to step on. They have different sections for different sizes. They separate the big dogs from the small dogs. This is me and my puppers favorite dog park! It is by far the best! They have 5 separate fenced in doggie play areas. My dogs are maltipoos so they go play in the small dog area which is 35lbs and under. There is a big dog area for 40lbs and over dogs. Both small and big have doggie play structures like briges and tubes that my dogs love! The grass is green and the parks and areas are well maintained. So we'll maintained that I cannot go to any other dog parks anymore. I love in San Jacinto and will drive weekly to Murrieta so my dogs can have their playtime at this park. Lol. Another plus is that the dogs that play here are well behaved because the dog mom's and pops are responsible and they pay attention to their dogs which is a major plus. I've been to dog parks where the owners don't give a damn if their dog poops or attacks other dog. Major no no. Responsible attentive owners that come to this park make the experience that much enjoyable! Definitely bring ur pup here and try it out it's a lot of fun :) read more

I've been bringing my 25 week Rott pup here for a couple months now. My pup is very friendly and sweet she doesn't play rough with dogs at all. But you know there's always that one Person that doesn't like your Dog just because of the breed. My pup is way to young at 25 weeks to throw her in with the full grown dogs. I was approached by 2 elderly women asking me to please remove my dog from that side of the park because my dog size again she's only 25 weeks so how big can she be at 25 weeks? I've never had issues at this park before for bringing in my Rottie until today. The side for small dogs have a weight limit of 30lbs But yet it's ok to have a 1 yr large dog over 30 lbs I can't remember the breed but it's able to play on that side of the park . But my Rott is 25 weeks old and it's look down on by a group of ladies just because they feel a certain way about a Dogs Breed. That group of ladies here that don't like Huskies or Rottie's very unfornite. read more

This is an amazing park. This park is very inclusive. We love when people follow the rules for the safety of our dogs and people who bring them here. The majority of negative responses on here are from people that don't follow those rules. We've had people bring their dogs that are in heat into this park. Dogs being in heat is prohibited. We have people that bring in food and hand out treats to dogs! This is also prohibited mainly due to allergies and it causes fights. The last woman who commented (Dee Dee or Debbie) has caused a lot of people to be uncomfortable since she's very unpredictable and violates personal space. We have several friends that attend this park. Everyone can't like everyone! But this park is amazing with great people that follow the rules. The rules are posted on both gates, but a lot of people don't read them. If you read the rules and follow them you're going to love this park with your fur babies. People usually say offensive things when they are breaking the rules and someone calls them on it. We also have a Facebook page so you can stay in contact with your fur babies' friends, see if the park is open, not to mention Halloween and Christmas party picture sharing. There are great people and puppies here. Don't let negative, defensive people change your mind about enjoying our beautiful park. We have been coming to this park for over three years, and we've advocated for the victims of accidents when dogs have played too rough, and even went a few rounds with the big dog park when their unleashed dogs attacked out small dogs and owners. My husband and I are far above ad hominem attacks and arguments, so we won't participate in that baiting, however tempting it may be to throw barbs and make up ridiculous gossip. The park rules are not very well thought out. There are two fenced areas - one for small dogs (under 35 lbs) and another for all others. We have two standard poodles that weigh 50 lbs each. We took them to the large dog area where they were immediately attacked by a pack of huskies, so we went to the small dog area. The small dog area is "run" by a small group of locals with a very nasty leader who thinks the park is hers. We have been going for several months and have had numerous encounters with this woman. There is a small group of us that have dogs larger than the 35 lb limit but our dogs' temperaments are not compatible with the more aggressive breeds that use the large dog area. Several "larger" dogs use the small dog area because they have been bit in the large dog area. The small dog group led by this woman stand in the middle of the play area and complain when our dogs run near them. They seem to be looking for a reason to complain. This park is a nice facility but not a pleasant place to visit with your dog. read more
