Amazing office. I take my five kids to the northeast office and have for years. The care I receive from Dr.Pelli is top notch. No matter which child I am bringing in,she is sure to remember everything going on and always checks on the other four. She shows a lot of compassion while also being very educational and informative at her job. My now 11 months old son has been a patient for the entire 11 months we've lived in the Newtown area. This is a business that Margiotti and Kroll run. It is not a reputable pediatrician chain. I'd recommend finding a smaller practice. The attention, care and service we've been provided is dog shit. There are no other adjectives I would use to describe the care. In our experience the nurses have done a fine job however upwards from there, you will not receive reasonable care when some sort of unexpected issues arise. My wife just took my very irritated son in for about the 3rd time this month. They checked his ears and checked his stomach with a simple touch of pressure but nothing more. They spent a total of 3 minutes with the doctor and he did not give any suggestions or put any thought into helping us at all. Don't waste your time here. We are switching doctors today lol. read more

Great hours and Dr. Margiotti takes the time and attention to do a thorough check and explain everything. Front desk worked well addressing a billing question with patience. Doctors and nurse practitioners are great with the kids but the whole experience is badly marred by a combative and aggressive front desk staff; quick to assign blame on billing issues but also quick to dismiss their own failings; repeatedly billing under the wrong child and blaming us for not paying while every bill was paid. Visits are billed wildly uneven, sometimes the same 5-10 min actual visit with provider is billed as normal, other times it's somehow in depth, never mind the nearly 45 min we spend waiting around after arriving at our appointed time. There's a sign up that says insurance is the patients responsibility, while both have a stake in working through billing, the fact that they put a sign up like that shows they've lost sight of working with patients and we are actually there for their convenience now. Yeah dealing with insurance sucks for me too, but that's no reason to put me in the crossfire of the front desk playing billing games with insurance instead of doing the job within the confines of your contract with the insurance company. read more

I dont think I have seen an actual doctor in the 6 times I came here. Only NPs/PAs who like to take time to talk about dogs and cats, but not much info or knowledge about healthcare. I was originally very surprised because there are so many offices, but it seems like they just keep people coming back over and over again and not fixing any issues. My child has bad allergies. M&K's NP kept having me take zyrtec. After 6 months of monthly visits, I decided to go to a specialist on my own. Of course, that was an issue too, because my insurance needed a referral, and M&K wouldnt give it. They thought they could handle it. As a result, another visit to them and they ordered blood work. I think they have some deal with labcorp, I dont know. Anyways, blood work came back with some positive things, and now what?? NP says to take Zyrtec - BUT THAT DOES NOT WORK! I changed to another pediatricians office. After first visit, got a referral. Saw the specialist and feeling tons better. read more

I stuck with this practice because Dr. Halpern had been caring for my children for many years. She is a very good and thorough practitioner. Unfortunately, Margiotti & Kroll took over and things steadily went downhill. They do not seem to take anything seriously, and always rush through your visit no matter the reason for your visit. I have taken my baby to them several times over the past year for serious reasons, but they brushed me off each time and pawned my baby's issues off on specialists for no good reason. I'm happy to say I will be switching practices ASAP, and I highly recommend to anyone to stay clear of this careless practice. read more

Just a terrible practice and so thankful to be gone. Several times we have reached out to the office and received significant attitude from the woman at the front desk. I felt as though we were constantly being nickel and dimed. Charging $15 to print a couple of pieces of paper is insanity and confirmation as to why we are leaving. Brought my teenage daughter in because she was experiencing unusual fatigue. She was sent to Quest for bloodwork. Its been over a week and I still don't have the results - even though Quest did send the results to the practice. I've called five times over multiple days and been assured that I would get a call back by a physician to review the results with me and still no return call. This will definitely be my last time at this practice. I would give less than one star if possible. read more

We started going there with our first baby and have had great experiences so far. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. This doctor's took over from the St. Mary's office it was connected to. They lost all of my son's records and then were blaming me for losing the records! Very rude, unprofessional and manipulative. Every visit was excruciating long and protracted, with staff that was nasty. Stay away! read more

I have been bringing my children here formally years. There area few doctors that I feel are superb and a few that I do not wish to see. I Have 3 boys the oldest is 20. I was told they see pt's through college. My 20 yr old had symptoms of a TIA. Not something to take lightly.We were seen By Dr. Nadel. She sent us to a children's hospital to see a neurologist who see pt's to age 18. When asked for further direction for an adult neurologist we were told to contact out insurance provider. I was told they are not used to handling adult problems.No recommendation and no guidance. If you cannot care for pts past 18 then do not see them. I will take my children to an adult MD at the age of 18. read more

Jen the CRNP was excellent when I had to bring my child in due to an illness. She spent plenty of time with us and asked all the necessary questions inquiring about his illness. Jen made sure we understood everything before she left the exam room. My son felt very comfortable with Jen. read more

We love Dr. Kroll and Dr. Nadel! We always have a great experience when we visit for well checkups. The staff is friendly and attentive, we never have to wait long to see the doctor and I trust their skills and advice always. On the rare occasion that we require a sick visit, they get us in right away and the practitioners make sound assessments and treatment decisions. As is being a teenage girl isn't hard enough....To all my local friends, sharing to help other parents make informed decisions about who their pediatrician is. A friend of mine attended a well check up with her teenage daughter last week at Margiotti & Kroll's Trevose office seen by Dr. Sonsini. He also works at the Newtown office. The daughter is a strong, beautiful and an athletic young woman. She has been raised by a strong Mother who embraces her body image and teaches her daughter that strong is beautiful and being a size 2 isn't the only size that is acceptable in today's world. I digress, bottom line is... if you saw this young teenager on the street you would never in a million years think she has an over eating problem or is overweight by any stretch of the imagination. But yet Dr. Sonsini upon entering the room greeted the Mother and daughter as such, and I quote,"well you've grown well". Then under his breath stated for loud enough for both the Mother and daughter to hear "could stand to slow down on the weight". As a woman myself who has been referred to as; big boned, thick, big and numerous other words to describe woman who don't fit into the perfect mold.... my heart breaks. It's taken me so many years to fully accept at 35 that my body and the reflection of what I see is beautiful regardless of size... I cannot even comprehend hearing those words from a doctor as a teenager. Please share..... my hope is that Dr.Sonsini never has the opportunity to treat another young woman and damage their body image the way he has for this young girl. read more

Love this office. Love the walk in hours and ease to get an appointment as needed. As anywhere you have the doctors you feel are the 'best fit' for your family so there are some I don't care for as much and others that I am over the moon for. Those who we see we have been loyal to since my boys were babies. They ground me when I am too worried and they tell me when I need to be concerned. I really love Dr Margiotti Sr. & Jr for my boys as our #1 go to caregivers as well as Many of the nurse practitioners. I am always comfortable knowing if I see someone else I can send a message to them letting them know a test is coming in or that we were seen and Dr Margiotti has always been in touch when needed. I had terrible experience with the Newtown office of Margiotti & Kroll.On Monday 04/03/2017 I called their office because my daughter felt ill, she had high fever, ear & throat pain. Before I even had a chance to explain what was happening, I was interrupted and told to get there on time because the door would close at 7.30! like I was at their mercy?.....then my daughter was seen by a nurse practitioner, she did the swab and informed me that the office should have results within 72 hrs so just keep my daughter on Tylenol. The nurse practitioner did not say anything about her ears! On Tuesday 04/04/2017 my daughter got worse, I called their office to check on the results and was told they were not ready. I told them that, at this point, my daughter can't swallow and her ears hurt a lot. I was told that they can't do anything and they are sorry. On Wednesday 04/05/2017 nobody called me back so I called again and was told again, that results are not ready and doctor can't do anything - in the meantime my daughter was crying from ear pain! After I hang up I went to the Emergency room. Within less than an hour my daughter was diagnosed with severe ears infection in both ears!!!! So for 3 days she was suffering because of the incompetency of this doctor office! read more

We have received care from Doctors Margiotti and Kroll in Newtown for years. The two of them are wonderful doctors, they clearly care for their little patients. I wish I could say such great things about the front desk staff. The girls (I cannot refer to them as women due to their behavior) are inconsiderate, unprofessional, rude and unconcerned about the patients/families. They act as if you are an inconvenience to them when you walk in or call, you can frequently hear them badmouth patients, and they barely acknowledge your child when asking what brings you in (if they even ask at all). It's really a shame that these girls represent the Margiotti and Kroll name, they don't deserve the title. I was incredibly upset listening to them talk so rudely about a parent of a child when sitting in the waiting room. It is saddening to think these people work in healthcare. read more

I have been going to this practice for 4 years and in those 4 years the care has declined. The office on Academy Ave is never open the hours they state they are, no matter what doctor that you see in all three offices gives you the time to have questions asked and answered and staff that answers the phones are rude and unpleasant. On 4 different occasions I would be in the office on a Monday or Tuesday with my son having an ear infection only to be told no infection just fluid and two days later returning with both ears completely infected with high fevers. As a mom you know when your child is sick. The last straw was taking my 4 year old in for a possible broken collarbone. Dr sent me for X-rays told me they would be in the office the rest of the day and would immediately call me for results. As always they left before calling me so I spent hours calling the Newtown office. The "nurse" who finally called me stated she thought that it was negative. Not feeling confident I called the academy office the next morning and whichever doctor told me that the X-ray was negative. My mistake was not taking my son down to CHOP immediately. Told Motrin he will be fine. Seven days later I took him to,CHOP ER to be told immediately yes his clavicle bone was broke and it should have been discovered by his pediatricians. I will not be going back to this office and PLEASE if you are looking for a pediatrician who will take the time to listen and truly care do not go to this practice. YELP will not allow me to post with zero stars or I would. I requested a callback from Dr Kroll hours later and only after creating a stink on the phone he called back and his only response was I needed to find another office because I wasn't happy. No I am sorry we missed this broken bone just a rude brush off. read more
