I have been toying with the idea of getting bangs for a while and decided that getting clip in bangs was a safer option. Came here at the recommendation of a friend and was very pleased with the selection and the service. The woman that helped me was incredibly nice and was able to color match me for the correct color clip in and show me a couple of different styles. The clip in is high end and made of real hair so it can be styled and washed. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for quality wigs, extensions or clip ins. I took the bangs to my hair cut later in the week hoping my regular stylist could cut them for me but she was a little out of her depth with clip ins so I called Mari Ari and was able to make an appointment with one of their stylists. Poor communication when it came to shipping the hair extensions I bought from here I constantly had to call text and email and most of the time did not get a response. It was the day of an event and I was in need of keratin extensions. Sally's has stopped selling them. I had not transportation at the time and mad an order online. Within an hour, they had contacted me (Saturday am) and told me they did not have the item in stock. It's near impossible to shop online for extensions due to color differences. I was able to order online and have a friend pick up the order that was placed and then properly corrected with in 2 hours. There order processing time was usually 24 hours. This place is awesome. I came in here looking for an alternative to fashion tape (because I am too sweaty for fashion tape). I read reviews on the Walker Company's No Shine toupee tape. I also got the Flex II which I will try out. The No Shine definitely worked. It worked so well it took off the spray tan I got the day before! HAHA! I will definitely try out the Flex II next time because it is hypoallergenic. I wish I could remember the young African-American lady who assisted me so I can give her a shoutout. I wish I could post one star for the quality of the wigs. I have bought 3 human hair wigs from here and two of them lasted less than 2 months. After the second wash, they became a tangled, unmanageable mess. Very disappointing especially since I am bald and I have to wear wigs on a daily basis. However, the 3rd wig I have is still soft and wearable, it's just not my favorite so I don't wear it as much, which may be why. Overall, I would be very cautious on buying human hair wigs from here. I stopped in to look for a wig for an actor but the perfect carrot-colored wig I'd been searching for years for MYSELF to wear was dispayed high on a shelf amongst all the much more conservative stylish wigs. I couldn't believe my luck, tried it on then tried on the brown version and left the store wearing the carrot-colored wig! I am only giving the store 3 stars because I wasn't terribly impressed by the staff compared to other wig shops in Houston and I was also a little disappointed that they couldn't offer me any discount because I was buying the "floor model"....which I do understand. I went in to Mari Ari Hair because my hair stylist recommended I go there for hair bundles. I have an ombre so matching something to my hair is very difficult for me. When I walked in, it felt very luxurious and clean not overwhelming. The associate who helped me was really kind and she matched me immediately to like 3 different sets! I was excited because I thought it would be a lot harder. She didnt have 2 of the same sets so what she recommended is I blend 2 different sets. they were very similar but had different shades of blonde like my hair since the ombre carries a variety of colors. She offered me a 15% discount for being a first time customer. Although pricey at about $250 (regular price) each, the hair feels amaziiiiiiiiing and being an extension fan, I can tell they're pretty high quality and real human hair. First time I went with my daughter they helped her till she found the right color of extensions to match her hair my daughter is a little difficult to please so they tried so many and not once did I see frustration in their face we had three young ladies helping us last one was a manager who I can not recall her name but she matched it perfectly my daughter left a happy camper and so did I. I was frustrated but that's just me I came back on a different day without my daughter. And after using it for a week I was unable to brush it straight. It kept getting tangled. I did a test with a lighter and it burned like plastic . I called them to let them know. And they were rude saying k probably did not take the precautions to care for it. buy one ". And you will lose. Because you will never get a refund. I visited this place about 4 months ago ...I was very sad and disappointed because of a terrible experience I went through with another place where I sew my hair at, I told the staff at Ari Mari what I went through in my previous experience and told them how I'm trying to recover my feelings through a good experience with one of their wigs They were like ohhhh we are so sorry to hear what you went through there , we promise you the best experience . They ended up selling me a wig " supposed to" be % human ...with 300$ I double confirmed with them that I really need an honest help from them and wanted to make sure it's 100% human hair and they confirmed it After 2 weeks only the wig stated being tangled horribly. I went back to them to ask and see why , how and what to do ?? And all they did is denying that this happened before and asked me to leave it 2 days for deep conditioning... There is no other place that gives you the honest truth about the hair while actually listening to what you say and using their years of expertise to meet your needs. Mari Ari has been in the extension business for a LONG time- they host upscale events for stylists and even hold classes about extension processing for beauty schools! Having been wearing bundle hair for years, it is common knowledge that there is a risk every time that you buy your hair for it to be from a bad batch. However, Mari Ari recognizes this and will work with you on your next purchase- their service is imcomparable! No shade to the the neighborhood bundle girl or even the stores that have popped up in recent years around Houston (selling chemically processed hair that they advertise as virgin), but Mari Ari was selling Remi quality hair and higher since before the fad of bundles was even around! They are so real, they never bash other suppliers, but they way they explain hair to you will make you realize why Boojee, Snoblife, She's Happy and all of the other virgin hair suppliers are lying to you! Not saying that those brands won't get the job done- but they are lying to their customers! You can smell the chemicals in their bundles that they tell you are virgin. NOT Mari Ari, they tell you straight up if, and how much, processing goes into the different levels of their hair! Ask them, they will even explain to you why there is no such thing as "virgin remi"- because 'remi' itself is a name for a hair process! I'm gonna get off of my hair education soapbox now, but honestly, do business with a veteran company that can educate you on what you put in your hair! It feels like walking into a jewelry store, the way the hair is displayed in its proper glory and the way the staff is to attentive to your needs and wants. They have beautifully designed wig rooms, with privacy for anyone that has actual hair loss issues but still wants to feel like a catered to diva while finding a new wig. If you want cheap hair, by all means, don't come and get upset about the prices. Its true quality! You wouldn't walk into a Mercedes dealership expecting Honda prices, so just stop with the foolishness. And READ THE HAIR CARE INSTRUCTIONS THEY GIVE YOU! 10/27/2015 update: So my previous review was only 4 stars, but I have edited and upgraded to 5. After a long search for the best virgin hair in Houston and worldwide (pro tip: unless you into head nests, don't ever buy "virgin" hair directly from China - you know who you are, AliExpress...), Mari Ari is the only place to go. In my previous review (below), I had mentioned that the quality isn't as good as it used to be, but I have concluded that buying virgin hair can be a toss-up sometimes. Depends whose head you got it from, feel me? (Kind of a jarring thought, but I digress...) I'm not sure if the labeling thing I mentioned in my earlier review is still an issue, but I personally have not had any problems with that in recent history... They continue to have excellent, friendly customer service and an extensive selection of extension hair. FYI - They also sell NYX cosmetics and a wide variety of false lashes FTW. Aug. 2014 Review, for your reference: I used to only purchase my hair from here, but lately I have been looking elsewhere. I don't know why, but the quality of virgin hair here has just gone downhill, and I have noticed this with my past couple of purchases. I think maybe they have a new supplier.... Mari Ari, I miss the way things used to be :( Be wary that they are not taking care with labeling their hair correctly nowadays. A couple of months ago, I went to purchase some of the $200/bundle virgin hair, and when the sales associate pulled a few different bundles of what was supposed to be all the same quality/length of hair, some bundles were longer than others, and some clearly look processed and had damaged ends. The saleslady even agreed with me that they had prob been labeled incorrectly. Fortunately, I know my hair weaves, but an inexperienced hair purchaser wouldn't have known any better and would've dropped $200 for low quality hair or hair of the wrong length. I chose the best hair they had available, and here I am 2 months later with a slight nest in the back of my head. $200 hair should NOT tangle after a few washes. It should not tangle after SEVERAL washes, especially if you're barely heat styling it and using very high end hair products. (I know my $60 shampoo is not the culprit - it's the only thing that temporarily makes it feel smoother)... I never use hair irons on it and barely use a hair dryer bc I am used to leaving it loose and wavy. Maybe it's just my imagination... maybe the condition of my own hair which is left out is tangling with it... I'm really not sure. Also, for some reason, the wefts now have this blue thread in them... I noticed a long blue string hanging in my hair once and was like wtf. Not that noticeable, but I am picky. I have some leftover hair that I had purchased from Mari Ari last year, and there definitely was no blue string. This is the hair you see in my Yelp profile pic.... Those were the good ol days. I used to drop $300-$400 there every few months, but if my hair is going to tangle, I might as well just buy some cheaper hair from somewhere else. Come on Mari Ari - don't let competitors steal your good customers!!! I give them 4 stars because they do have a huge selection and also have great sales at times- make sure you sign up for their mailing list and stuff!!! Also, the sales associates are super friendly and helpful... They really do have excellent customer service - I just wish the hair was what it used to be. I hope you will read this review before purchasing from this store. I've dealt with the manager, Yvonne on a few occasions. She isn't too helpful but it's probably because the owner of the store doesn't give her much leeway. I have someone that does my extensions regularly and she gets a deal at Mari Ari so she buys all of her hair from them. I've had more issue recently (in the past 8-10 months) than I have in the past. I've been getting extensions for over 10 years so I am really familiar with the process and how to care for the hair. The last time I got my keratin extensions put in they almost all slipped out within 1 month (if taken care of they should last 4-5 months). Yvonne and I went back and forth for a few days and she kept telling me she only wanted to deal with the account holder (the girl that does my hair). It didn't make sense to me because she knew the hair came from her store. Each bundle normally costs around $100 or more and the only option she gave me was a discount to purchase more hair (I usually apply 3 bundles). She should have replaced the bad hair that was sold since less than a month before I spent $700 to buy and install the extensions. All she did was blame the girl that does my hair saying she probably didn't know what she was doing (that's definitely a way to push your problems off on someone else). Anyways, I ended up buying new hair. Recently my mother purchased hair to install. My mother was recently diagnosed with cancer so she gets hair put in because the chemo and radiation weakened her existing hair. After the first wash the hair was rough and you couldn't even comb it. When my mom went back to tell Yvonne of the issue, again, she made up excuses on why the hair was bad and only offered a discount to replace. What a way to treat a cancer survivor. No respect or decency at all. Anyways, people should know what they are buying and I wish someone would have told me before my mother and I spent hundreds on bad quality hair. read more

This place is incredible. I have thin and damaged hair due to bleaching. After I went back to my natural roots (medium brown), I wanted to add length and volume with clip in extensions while my natural hair grows back. I walked in and they have EVERYTHING you could want. They have their own line of clip ins that are top notch. I bought a great set (not their line, unfortunately. They were out and ordering more of my color but I needed them that day) of Indian Remy human hair extensions and I love them. They were only $100 and I don't even wear all the pieces! They look fantastic and thick and I plan on coming here for all of my extension needs. I highly recommend this shop. Customer service was excellent. Went in because of Yelp reviews and was not disappointed one bit. I was assisted by a sweet woman who helped me find an exact match to my hair for clip in extension. The whole process was fast. I paid more than I would at Sally's but the quality of the hair is 100 times better. I was worried that I would need 2 packs of hair (like I used with other brands) but one was more than enough!
