Unassuming taco truck located in a Sultan gas station parking lot. Great prices, good portions, hearty and delicious. Meats included adobada, asada, lengua, cabeza, birria (new). Adobada burrito ($9) was large, packed with protein, and wonderfully seasoned (loved the hint of sweetness). They also have quesadillas, tacos, fries (papas fritas), and various other items.

We did our monthly taco Tuesday meet with Maria's this month. Plenty of parking can be found in the parking lot. Credit cards are accepted without a surcharge being applied. Taco Tuesday specials: $1.50 chicken or pork tacos. Service was friendly and food was ready quickly (10 minutes). My wife and I each ordered a Carnitas burrito for $8 each. Absolutely delicious! The filling was perfectly paired without one ingredient overpowering the other. The pork wasn't greasy. Both sauces (red and green) were savory. My favorite was the red sauce since it had more heat. We also ordered a few tacos: Asada for $2 and Carnitas for $1.50 (Taco Tuesday). Tasty little tacos. For sides we ordered Rice for $1.50 and Beans for $1.50. I never like Mexican rice but my wife does. We both enjoyed the beans as well. Overall, an excellent food truck with appetizing food, fair pricing and quick service.

Nice to see a taco truck here. Just opened today (22 April 2020). The tacos: Carnitas - beautiful and crisp edges. Not greasy. Great flavor. Asada - juicy and flavorful meat. Adobado - nicely spiced pork with good flavor. Lengua - beautifully done. Tender and flavorful meat. A great lengua. Cabeza - wow. Some of the best I've ever had. Lovely, juicy, tender, and full of great flavor All tacos come with hot sauce. I had the red. Superb flavor and just the right spicy heat kick. This is a dried spice type salsa. May be odd to you if you've never had it. Give it a try and a chance. Good stuff. They have other Mexican food too. A little slow, but they did just open today. And I have to give them the benefit of the doubt because they had the self-confidence to open a new business in the middle of the pandemic (yes, it's the perfect business for that, but it's still a risky, gutsy move). Food is as good as the best taco trucks in Monroe. In the Chevron parking lot at the roundabout in Sultan. Just an all around great taco truck. We'll be back!

Best tacos and sopes in the area. This was great post hike food. If I had to choose one thing that's my favorite on the menu it's definitely the sope. The sope (a thick tortilla that is deep fried and almost like a pie shell made of masa) was not too thick or thin and fried to perfection. I didn't like the onions and tomatoes on it and there wasn't a lot of meat but it was enough to do the job. I think if it was season a little more with more meat on it, I would have gotten thirds. I'm not gonna lie we went back for seconds because it was Soo good. I enjoyed their tacos as well. There was a good ratio of adobada and asada to tortilla and not an overwhelming amount of cilantro and onions.

2 Asada and 2 Lengua tacos.

Super yummy!! Great customer service and awesome food. I can't believe we didn't stop here sooner. Located in the chevron parking lot at the round about on Highway 2 between Sultan and Startup. Definitely worth a stop.

The food was absolutely amazing. Chips were homemade and the salsa was perfection. We ordered the chorizo queso, asada tacos and tamales. You could tell the tortillas were homemade. Everything was fresh and delicious. We ordered the spicy margaritas and let me tell you, if you like a spicy marg this is top 3 I have ever had. And all that is great, but what made the whole experience the best was Alvaro. He was attentive, funny as heck, engaging, made each one of our drinks himself and he just lit up the whole place. Thank you Alvaro for being you! If you are around the area - you will not be disappointed by going here!

They were serving tables, clearing tables, dusting, just any activity besides seating us. We asked what the wait was going to be and they said "hold on." Meanwhile, they only had about 3 tables going and there were tons where they could have sat us. We finally got a table, but no service or even water for 30 min. I ordered a hibiscus marg and it was okay. I don't think it had alcohol in it. My friend got peach sangria, which ended up basically being Sunny D with grenadine. Her glass was cracked, so we asked if we could get a new one. Like 20 min later, we asked the server if her new drink was coming and he said no. He then gaslit us into thinking we broke the glass and would need to replace it. So weird. The food was fine. Very average. They aren't very flexible with substitutions and aren't aware of allergens. I got poblano shrimp and the sauce was watery and the beans tasted like lard. They forgot two of our dishes and got things really confused. When the bill came, we asked to see it because we were worried they would charge us for the meal they never brought out or the glass shard sangria. They said no LOL. We said we weren't comfortable paying without reviewing the items on the bill, and they had one of our group go behind the counter to look at it on the computer. Very odd. They really didn't know how to work their POS. We sat at a table next to a huge overflowing box of wires and cords. The whole aesthetic was really off, the servers were rude and unhelpful, and the food was like an even lower quality azteca/ixtapa. Not surprising for the location, but def not worth a stop.

The beans, the rice and the food itself tasted like they had been microwaved, the plates were so hot they burned my children's fingers, and there was crusted cheese baked onto the plate itself. The street taco tortillas fell apart while trying to eat them, and the carne was overcooked and dry. What made the experience worse was the service. The staff came across as cold, abrasive, and argumentative whenever concerns were raised. A warm and helpful attitude can go a long way when food issues happen, but unfortunately that wasn't our experience. If you're expecting fresh toppings like guacamole and sour cream, you may be disappointed. The food felt like corners were being cut rather than care being put into the meal. Even the horchata was disappointing and tasted watered down. Honestly, we'd have been much more willing to give the restaurant another chance if the service had been friendly and receptive. Fresh ingredients, better food preparation, and kinder customer service would make a huge difference. Our family won't be returning for now, but we hope the owners make some improvements because this place has potential.

An older gentleman and a younger guy were quick to tell us we could sit wherever we wanted as it was a Sunday evening. Booths line the wall and there are about four tables in the middle of the restaurant. Very small, but very colorful and extremely friendly staff. We were quickly asked for a drink order and they brought chips and salsa. The chips were a perfect thin yet crunchy texture. The salsa was very flavorful. It had chunks of onions and lots of cilantro. However, I wish the salsa was spicier. We both ordered chicken and beef enchiladas à la crema. The presentation was nice and I'm so glad there was no lettuce decorating my plate. My whole beans came in a little tortilla cup but the rice lacked flavor. It taste more like a puréed risotto. The enchiladas were covered in the cream sauce that also had cheese. There was no flavor to the cream sauce and the chicken was extremely dry. I liked the flavor of the whole beans. They don't give you a full basket of chips when you sit down. So we asked for more as they were delicious. But then we received only a quarter of a basket this second time. They don't post prices of the soda or the drinks. When we inquired to see a bar menu, they said they had none that we could order anything we want. We asked the price of a particular drink and he said don't worry. When I receive my bill, my non alcoholic bottle of Heineken was $7.25. I think that is outrageous for a nonalcoholic beer. I will give this place three stars because the chicken was tough and dry. The cream sauce was boring and the salsa needs spice.

The deck off the back of the restaurant was fantastic, I just wished anything would have matched that energy. We ordered 2 jalapeno Margaritas, and 2 "fresh natural" margaritas. They brought out chips and salsa and beans to us following our orders. The salsa I am not sure how it qualify as salsa. It was more like a can of stewed tomatoes. No spice, no flavor. The beans were the same. Plain, nothing to them. While fajitas had been walked by many times we opted not to get food. After letting the server know we were not ordering food, I believe the manager came over to ask if everything was ok. We were like yeah, we just came by for drinks. Both the server and the manager seemed annoyed after that. After receiving our drinks they were to be nice, just plain disappointing. Jalapeño margaritas are my drink of choice and this one fell well short of the mark. There were jalapeños in it, but there was zero spice and a very strong flavor of just the margarita mix. My wife enjoyed her fresh margarita, but upon receiving the bill the fresh margarita was a $4 add on for the fresh lime juice? $65 for 4 margaritas in pounder glasses. Maybe it's because they were not good that I find that as steep. Thanks Monroe El Paraiso, we won't be back. Most of the time, you're just paying for a lukewarm tortilla and a dream. Then I found Mi Tierra, and hope finally returned. First off, the ambiance is so authentic that I halfway expected a relative I've never met to walk out of the kitchen and ask why I haven't called. The place is decorated like a true Hacienda, and honestly, the décor does some heavy lifting--it's like the stucco walls and rustic charm trick your taste buds into believing you've just crossed the border, even if it's actually 40 degrees and raining outside. As for the food: it's spectacular. In a land where "spicy" often just means either "we added an extra grain of black pepper," or "we added uranium", Mi Tierra serves actual, authentic flavor. Whether it's the rich sauces or the well seasoned meats, eating here feels like a victory over the bland Mexican-food desert we call the Pacific Northwest. Best of all, the prices are incredibly reasonable. You get a massive portion of "real-deal" food without having to sell a kidney or take out a second mortgage. If you want to stop eating "tacos" that taste like sadness and disappointment and start eating like you're on vacation, get yourself to Mi Tierra. You may want to check out their menu on the Mi Tierra Official Website to plan your escape from mediocre salsa and to avoid the feeling that you are sitting for a test that you havent studied for as the wait staff can be pretty fast to take your order
