Wow just go check it out, varied menu, great food! Portions are huge! Do not over order, our first time we ate for three days. The Laotian Thai fusion is so good...

If you're passing by goldbar for a hike or whatever.... STOP BY THIS FOOD TRUCK. Genius idea for the homies to set up a Thai/lao food truck in a small town. But sheeeesh wish it was closer to Seattle! The seasonings are unmatched yall. Oh and for those of ya who can't really handle spice... if the menu says "spicy" next to it, trust that it'll legit be spicy--they don't play. I've tried a few things on their menu but my favorite is probably their nam tok aka waterfall salad. It's essentially sliced beef w a ton of herbs... gas.

I've found this place just okay. The food feels less sophisticated than one would expect from a commercial establishment. Yes, it's a food truck, but this seems even a notch below that regarding technique and execution. It's not bad, but it's certainly not great.

I wish I lived nearby .. or I wish they could come to serve their foods to Bellevue/Redmond area. Food truck in Sultan area. Their menu is ginormous. Mild to spicy options. I ordered crispy chicken salad w rice and waterfall beef(Nam Tok) w rice. Spice levels-4. Well seasoned for both dishes. Fresh herbs and vegetables. Reasonably priced. Beef- marinated so well and tasty. I go back to try their sausages and curry next time.

Food here is great! It has authentic Laotian flavor. I love that the shortrib and rice dish special was accompanied by a tomato dipping sauce. The Zaap Der crispy chicken salad is also so so good. Tangy, savory, spicy, and a touch of sweet to balance the acid--just the way I like it. Really great dish to try for any larb/laap fan. I'm also a big fan of the Lao sausage special when they have it. The crisp veggies on the side make it a refreshing meal. The service here is great too. The people are so kind and communicate well, even if there's a minor wait. I'm glad the Sky Valley has this option, and I hope it stays around for long.

Came back through and the food is still amazing, everything 10/10! We got the marinated short ribs and pad see ew, both super good. Amazing service per usual

Nam took on the left and crispy pork belly w/ tamarind dip on the right.

I was skeptical at first because this feels out of place. But man I was wrong! The crispy pork belly and nam tok were so flavorful and delicious. Will definitely be coming back here on the regular.

Not Taurus Ox Everything we had last night was gorgeous - fresh produce handled with care, layered flavors built up with intention, and fun little moments left and right. The new location is much bigger, with plenty of seating and a warm, inviting atmosphere featuring Lao-inspired decor, bamboo walls, and ox head sculptures. We were warmly welcomed and seated right away. We ordered a couple of Lao Burgers, Lao Beef Jerky, and Coconut Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. The Lao Burger was still very good, although it wasn't quite as delicious as I remembered from 2022. Perhaps the recipe has changed over the years, but it was still worth trying. The Lao Beef Jerky had great flavor, though it was drier and tougher to chew than we expected. The highlight for us was the Coconut Mango Sticky Rice: delightful, perfectly sweet, and topped with crispy puffed rice that added a fun texture. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and would recommend Taurus Ox to anyone looking to try Lao cuisine with a creative fusion twist. I'm glad I came back after all these years!

Theary Cambodian Foods is a tiny restaurant with only seating for only 12 or 13. They have probably…read moreone of the most chaotic and confusing menus I've ever seen, but they serve some really excellent food. Walking in for a Saturday lunch into this establishment, the entire restaurant smelled like sizzling meat and aromatic herbs. This was a little past noon and most of the staff were in the back taking their lunch break. There was only a single guy in front managing everything. We placed our order at the counter and were given an estimate of 20 minutes for the food. It took exactly 20 minutes, and he even gave us a 2 minute warning when it was almost ready. #4 Combo ($28.99) - This is a huge portion, easily enough for two people. In fact, this was the only thing we ordered (they had run out of the other item we wanted) and we finished only around 75% of the meal. The plate includes an entire mound of rice under all the meat. The photos of this dish are deceptive - the meat on top hides what's underneath. It's actually an appropriate amount given all the protein, a far cry from other places that only give a small bowl of rice. The rice is fried until dry and leathery, sticking together into larger chewy structures. It's actually an excellent texture for this dish. And the flavor is phenomenal, giving the fragrance of herbs, ginger, garlic, and other spices. In terms of meat, the dish includes two Kroeung meatball that taste of lemongrass and aromatic herbs. There's crunchy garlic stuck to the outside and everything is pan fried until a crust develops from the great sear and char. The inside is so meaty, with lots of whole pieces of meat rather than ground. It gives a burst of fragrant umami. There's a chicken wing, stuffed with vermicelli and shredded chicken meat. Again, it has a very fragrant and lemongrassy flavor. The chicken skin pulled along the stuffing gives an extra oomph of texture. Finally, there's an entire chicken leg/thigh quarter. It's so good, one of the best chicken quarters I've ever eaten. I especially love the scoring on the skin of the thigh that allows the pan sear to really develop an extra crusty layer from the additional surface area. The chicken meat interior is so tender and juicy and gives such an amazing coconut enhanced flavor, full of umami. The chicken fat and skin gives that crispy fattiness that enhances the chicken to the max. Now that's how to cook chicken! On the side are some spicy and crunchy daikon pickles mixed with some mint. Also, a fragrant and really spicy minced pepper mixture that gives an instant fresh burn. It's not smoky at all. (5/5) Everything Theary Cambodian Foods serves is a flavor bomb right to the gullet. Delicious, delicious, delicious food. Too bad it's so far away from me, otherwise I'd be a regular.

A few people came to pick up. We ordered the #1 stuffed chicken wings and the #11 clear vermicelli noodle salad with 4 meatballs. The owner was working alone so she was the cashier, waitress and chef. I've never been to Cambodia so can't comment on authenticity but the food was definitely homemade with love. Inside the ambience is very "hole in the wall" but that doesn't bother me. The owner had left our Clorox wipes so we wiped down the table ourselves. The food was absolutely incredible. I loved the noodle salad with bits of kale, crunch of cucumbers, and a refreshing sauce. The meatballs did taste like lemongrass as someone else had mentioned. It was a perfect balance of flavors. I'm not a huge fan of fish sauce but there was no fishiness whatsoever. The stuffed chicken wings were made from the flat part of a chicken wing except without the bone. These are a labor of love for the chef to extract the bone and wrap the meat and stuffing with the skin. It was delicious but seemed like an ingredients of the stuffing was already in my salad. The rice was scorched a tad like Korean scorched rice which gave bites of texture. I liked the wings and they were good but I really loved the noodle salad. I don't know if the owner has other employees but I would warn you to order in advance and be prepared to wait. We didn't mind as we were catching up but I could see that if it gets busy, she will need more help. If you are in the area, want to try new and different flavors, and have time to spare, give this place a try. I'm looking forward to going back to try other dishes.

When I called in, the lady that took the call struggled to take down my order. She was not familiar with the menu at all. I patiently repeated my order several times but she responded by naming different dishes. I was not confident that she would place my order correctly, so I asked to speak to another staff. Once I arrived, the same lady asked me if I was dining in and I told her multiple times that I had ordered take out. Then I found out that the order was never placed so the kitchen never made our food. There were no other customers there so I don't know how they didn't put in my order since I had placed it 10 minutes prior. To make matters worse, once we got home, we found out that they gave us an incorrect order. Instead of crispy garlic chicken and rice, we received a shrimp pad kee mow. This was extremely disappointing because my boyfriend does not eat seafood and doesn't like noodles in general. We went out of our way to come to this restaurant and chose Sweet Rice over other options that are closer to us. Considering the poor service, we will not be coming back or recommend it to others hence the 1 star review. I generally don't rate restaurants based on the service but the service was so bad that I lost my appetite for their food. I understand having to train new employees but there should be quality control measures in place to ensure that customers have a decent experience while new staff are training.
