If you're passing by goldbar for a hike or whatever.... STOP BY THIS FOOD TRUCK. Genius idea for the homies to set up a Thai/lao food truck in a small town. But sheeeesh wish it was closer to Seattle! The seasonings are unmatched yall. Oh and for those of ya who can't really handle spice... if the menu says "spicy" next to it, trust that it'll legit be spicy--they don't play. I've tried a few things on their menu but my favorite is probably their nam tok aka waterfall salad. It's essentially sliced beef w a ton of herbs... gas. read more

All meals we ordered were awesome! Orange chicken was fire:) Thai fried rice 10/10. Pad Thai was great, too. Spiciness 3 was hot. The eggs used were really good and bright orange/ yellow yolks. We called it in on the way from Stevens. Sometimes the family food truck is closed in fall since they're visiting Thailand (a great sign) . We'll definitely be back! read more

Well I almost missed this place tucked in a yellow food truck on a parking lot in town between the Thai restaurant and supermarket. The menu was quite extensive with daily specials. We got the fried chicken over a large portion of jasmine rice but could have used more chicken, but very tasty! Also got the spare ribs which were ok but loved the spicy side sauce for it. As for the pad se yu noodle dish it was kind of bland and a smaller portion. I think the pad thai noodles would have been better. The mango rice desert was delicious with a perfect sauce and mango in it, highly recommended in the middle of no where for take out. read more

I ordered crispy chicken salad w rice and waterfall beef(Nam Tok) w rice. Spice levels-4. Well seasoned for both dishes. Fresh herbs and vegetables. Reasonably priced. Food here is great! It has authentic Laotian flavor. I love that the shortrib and rice dish special was accompanied by a tomato dipping sauce. The Zaap Der crispy chicken salad is also so so good. Tangy, savory, spicy, and a touch of sweet to balance the acid--just the way I like it. Really great dish to try for any larb/laap fan. I'm also a big fan of the Lao sausage special when they have it. The crisp veggies on the side make it a refreshing meal. The service here is great too. The people are so kind and communicate well, even if there's a minor wait. I'm glad the Sky Valley has this option, and I hope it stays around for long. read more

Got the crispy fried chicken with garlic fried rice and the mozzarella corn dog and it was cooked perfectly absolutely would recommend!

Will be returning next time I'm in the area! This was so flavorful and hit the spot. We had the rib-eye skewer, ginger chicken, and chicken pad Thai. Will probably get 3 stars next time. Pad thai didn't have heat. The ginger chicken has a red pepper that will surprise ya! Ribeye was wonderful. Thanks guys!! read more

Very pleasantly surprised to see a Lao food truck in Gold Bar . The jaew that came with the ribeye beef skewers was a highlight, reminded me a lot of a spicy Bagoong (Filipino shrimp paste). It paired really well with the juicy skewers and rice, couldn't stop eating it. The kids loved the garlic chicken too. We also grabbed the black rice pudding which came with a salty coconut milk sauce, salty and sweet perfection! The owners were super nice as well. Def worth a stop if you are in the area. read more

Found this gem on the way back from the Bridal Veil Falls hike. Was skeptical initially so ordered only 1 dish, the black pepper chicken, 4 star spice level. It was fantastic, the sauce was extremely flavorful. The quantity was good too. Had to try another dish, ordered the Thai street style fried rice, 4 star spice level, this was also great. I stopped by a new food trailer today for lunch. With many interesting options I selected 3. The Thai dry street noodles were excellent with strong flavors that were well balanced. The second dish was Thai fried rice with broccoli. Once again not your standard fried dish available at most places, this was bursting with flavor and the broccoli was fresh and cooked perfectly with a little crunch. The third was garlic and black pepper chicken. This was good as well, would definitely order again however with all the options available I think I would try other dishes before trying this dish again. The first two will definitely be regulars in our future orders. Glad to have more diverse options in our small community. read more
