Turns out most entertainment businesses don't rent out just karaoke systems, they also include a DJ! I was able to reach out to at least 5 businesses via Yelp. DJ Jaron instantly impressed me by responding within 15 minutes with a flat rate estimate and package already prepared. Jaron answered all my questions and always responded quickly (weekdays before 7pm). He's easy to work with and great to have conversations with! He also emailed an excel file for song requests to be played between karaoke songs chosen onsite. Clear and consistent communication via Yelp, email, and text. My event was within a week and a half and we needed karaoke services plus possibly disco lighting for 3 hours. JBQAV absolutely delivered! DJ Jaron's karaoke service included a sound system, staging lights, unlimited virtual meetings, $1M liability insurance, and over 69,000 songs. We also had 4 wireless microphones, 24" screen for singers to view the lyrics and I upgraded to the 65" screen instead of the 36" for $200 extra so the audience could sing along. Participants were able to view the tablet set up on the side to choose songs and write down the song/artist choice, plus name of person singing. It was cool seeing my name as a singer on the large screen! I loved hearing the song playlist I submit during set up and while people were choosing songs to sing. Dance pop is my jam! Anything that encourages people to get up and dance wins. I was already dancing around to Down by Jay Sean, Beautiful Soul by Jesse McCartney, and jamming to Titanium. Haha total millennial! He met with us to get an idea of music we wanted played and how we wanted things to go. He took his time, listened, never rushed or pressured us into anything.... Totally worked with us and was very personable in it all. He amplified our ceremony then at a different location for our reception had everything set and ready. Announced all the bridal party, even plated my groom and my food! WOW! How awesome was that. All around great company, great DJ. Played great music and kept things rolling how they should. He had absolutely no feel for our style or music choices. During dinner, he played some of our choices (DAve Matthews, Jack Johnson, Mother hips, etc., etc.) and then when the list ran out, he played an 80's Foriegner song. The genre was way off... I would think you could have a better understanding of music as a DJ. When introducing the wedding party a couple of the names were fouled up as well... WTF. For our first dance, clear instructions were given when to start the music. No, he started it way in advance. My wife had to run up to him and tell him to start over.... WTF... For our dance music, the party was pumping and he then played a song that killed the dancing. WTF... We had a lot of specific little things we wanted to do for our wedding (lots of music cues, logistics for different points of the reception, etc.), and Emmanuel (Manny, as we called him) was very helpful. They have an online system that lets you put really specific instructions in, but even after we'd uploaded the songs we wanted, we were able to call Manny a day or two before the wedding and walk through some small changes, which everyone on the same page with what was in our head. They really made sure we felt like we could give them as much detail as possible, and it wouldn't overwhelm them - it would just make them better at accomplishing what we were looking for. But they were also REALLY good at improvising - we didn't always have a packed dance floor (due to lower attendance numbers than we expected), but the DJ would read the room and switch over to a few slow dances, and that got some more people dancing. And then once he felt there were a good number of people on their feet, he'd go back to the upbeat music we'd discussed. It was such a smart move, and a clear sign that they're really good at taking the temperature/vibe of your wedding and making it happen! Manny was our MC, and he brought a DJ and two women to run the photo booth. They were all excellent, and we got a lot of great compliments about the music and photos for the next several days."

More mellow tunes for the dinner portion of the party and was able to facilitate the crowd. His assistant was amazing too! They were open to any suggestions and took requests from guests. They kept the vibe and had everyone on the dance floor, including the kids! Bonus was a group photo that they took so we could have an incredible memory of the night. I had DJ Joey dj my wedding and could not have been more disappointed…read more For starters I should have known to verify things after he tried to tell us there was no "clean" version of our grand entrance song and we may want to change it. I was pretty set on this song so I researched for myself and was able to find the clean version on 3 different platforms in about 60 seconds. Another thing is that I have never heard of a DJ who doesn't take requests... I guess we are supposed to know every song our guests are going to want to listen to beforehand. He was unable to take a request for a song that a lot of our guests wanted to hear. The biggest problem of the night was that he played the wrong song for my father daughter dance. We put the very title of the song and what version on the document we shared with him and even had a meeting to go over all of it. If there were ever any doubts he should have reached out to confirm he had the right song and clarify. I really hope this isn't a thing that has happened to a lot of couples he's DJ'd for because it absolutely ruined the moment. That was one of the moments I was looking forward to most because the song had a lot of meaning being that it was my stepfather I was dancing with. He seemed to be more worried about other things like asking us and all of our vendors if we would have an umbrella for him at ceremony even after we already told him we would take care of it. He also kept saying how he would be like "our second wedding planner" and tried to interject himself into things that did not pertain to him. He should probably focus more on making sure he does the DJ part right. Overall I was very disappointed with the experience and would not recommend him. He didn't even have the curtesy to apologize to me after my husband let him know he played the wrong song.
