It seems he has every tool imaginable to help his students learn, making the possibilities limitless for what you can do in there. I was instantly relieved when I stepped foot into his studio because the air conditioner was cranked up and it was a very hot day outside! It was much nicer than other teaching studios I had been in. His teaching area is very comfortable and a great environment to foster learning and really get into a lesson. Daniel is a super nice guy who really takes the time to talk to you and understand your situation. He was very good at helping and guiding me in the exact direction I wanted to go. He is extremely knowledgeable and has studied with the most talented and renowned musicians at UCSD so he knows music theory and guitar theory from the ground up. He even took the time to explain the differences in amp and speaker cabinet designs and the effects they have on guitar tone when I was curious about his gear. He is great at explaining concepts and really knows his stuff. All in all Daniel is definitely one of the top guitar teachers in San Diego. His comfortable studio is jam packed with cool guitar gear and teaching tools and he is one of the coolest guys you could ever want to take lessons from. This time, I wanted to play contemporary music that I enjoyed and I wanted to learn the electric guitar. I found Daniel Page on the internet and was instantly impressed with his vast knowledge and professionalism. I came to his studio as a beginner with absolutely no knowledge of the guitar. He helped me pick out my first guitar which is a telecaster that I absolutely love. He has given me recommendations and advice on everything from purchasing amps, metronomes, tuners, and has even taught me the basics like how to change guitar strings. Taking lessons at his studio is a completely different experience than what I endured during piano lessons. Daniel is laid back and patient which is very important when dealing with beginning students. He explains things thoroughly and encourages me to ask questions. He always lets me choose the songs that I want to learn and he breaks down the hard parts to make them more manageable. I've only been taking lessons for 6 months now, and I am amazed at the progress I have made. His teaching has inspired me and my appreciation for the guitar has grown tremendously. I provided him with an idea of what we wanted for the social hour, ceremony, dancing and he took care of the rest. Our ceremony was outdoors on the lawn and his setup was amazing; the entrance music and ceremony music transitioned seemlessly. He was great in being able to organize the crowd to keep our ceremony on time. Kirk went above and beyond from start to finish. Due to my conflicting schedule, Kirk took the time to FaceTime me as we walked through my event venue while he was attending a destination wedding. The photobooth was a hit and he was able to flawlessly customize our photobooth template to match our invitations as a very last minute request! Peter Jaffe is a great conductor and a fantastic leader for the symphony. Not only is he knowledgeable and passionate about music, he is also extremely friendly and approachable. Their free concert on July 4 is a great way for the symphony to celebrate with people who wouldn't normally visit the symphony. They also include some interesting performances in their season. I had the pleasure to see Mark Twain's World: A Symphonic Journey with Genuine Thespians, which wsa part music and part theater, but not a musical. If ever you have a chance to visit the Stockton Symphony, I would highly recommend it.

We were excited to have a cellist playing as our guests got to mix and mingle. Honestly, working with the entire team at Ivy Hill was a dream. Their selection of musical genres and musicians is nothing short of impressive. I will warn you now...that questionnaire is exhaustive...like it gets INTO the songs you like. But it is TOTALLY worth it. Matt reached out right before our reception just to check if we were good and to get us in touch with DJ ET. The cellist was AMAZING. And before you ask...YES...he can and WILL play a Game of Thrones medley. It was AMAZING. He also learned the music to my father's favorite hymn. When I heard him start to play it, I just started to cry because thanks to him, my father, who passed some time ago, was there...in that song...and in that cello. I booked him through the BASH, and to make matters worse, when my husband tried to find a replacement through Gig Salad, he answered the request saying he was available for TRIPLE the original request he gave me. I wish I read the Yelp reviews before booking because this was a very special occasion and he caused unnecessary stress. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!
