Our conditions have greatly improved with the service provided by this Association. I saw several medical professionals at several different associations before I found a U.S. Reports article naming Dr. Katz as one of the top 1% of Rheumatologist in the field. I will gladly recommend him to anyone seeking hard answers to difficult diagnoses. Dr. Katz Rush location can be busy, I have found Northwestern less so. You can expect to wait up to an hour, and while this may seem frustrating, you can rest assured that the Dr. will spend as much time as necessary with you to ensure you receive the dedicated attention each patient deserves; keep this in mind as others are treated and seen before you. The nursing staff and other Doctors within Rheomo & Assoc. are also excellent; shout-out to Josie & Robin for being full of personality and compassionate about your care.

He doesn't see any patient for 5 minutes; his patients can talk to him in the examining room for as long as they want to. I never felt that I was rushed or that there was a sense of Dr. Katz needing to leave for any reason. He answered all of my concerns in the most sincere way, and I can't ever say enough good things about him.

Firstly, her "idea" of keeping me in pain for several months on end, to "see" if the medication is working was INHUMANE!!!! Secondly, on my last visit, I was in a great deal of pain and had been for several weeks, almost at my wits end. I let her know, I was in a great deal of pain. She said, lets increase Methotrexate to (8) pills. She quickly reviewed the blood work, said, everything looked normal. I had questions about a couple results that were marked as "high" & was told, "the computer enters those numbers." I said, isn't that a gauge used to determine the result of the test? She said, again, it's only a computer, your labs are in normal range. She dismissed as if I was asking a stupid question. I asked another question, "Typically when the Methotrexate dosage is bumped up to (8) pills, how quickly do people generally feel some relief?" She said, "I can't tell you that, everyone is different" (here's the kicker comment), "I didn't give you this disease". I was shocked by your statement! I immediately said, "Well, I didn't ask for this disease." I was very annoyed by your comment. My husband also asked a question, she said, some blah blah blah stuff, then said again, "I didn't give you this disease." Once again, I didn't say anything but was clearly annoyed, as this was the 2nd time, she made that DISGUSTING comment to us. My husband asked yet another question & received the same information about "I didn't give you this disease" for a 3rd time!!! REALLY! At that point, I was done with her as she clearly has NO bedside manner nor compassion for me, as a person or as her patient. I did not deserve her rude comments. I was clearly in pain & in need of some Sympathy, Compassion & Hope for feeling relief from the constant pain I was dealing with, because of this awful disease, that I DIDN'T ask for, nor chose. The moment she disrespected me as a person, is the moment, I lost respect for her as a doctor, especially as my doctor. The only reason I didn't say anything that day, was because I needed the prescriptions & time to look for a new Doctor. Thankfully, I have found a doctor, who listens to my questions, gives me informed answers, has mapped out a game plan moving forward, and more importantly, my Doctor's top concern is managing my pain throughout the process.

The receptionist, nurses and the entire team are super sweet. I loved the fact that the nurse Brenda is so calm and assuring. She was not rushing very peaceful and thorough. The doctor was very nice very professional and to the point. The doctor showed us the elbow x-ray no rheumatoid was present and without dismay he assured my husband that with just simple exercise with time the pain was going to be fine. The discharge nurse was so helpful too. She showed us the elbow bracelet and showed us how to use it very professional. The diagnose was not as scary as we thought it wold be it was just simple getting old pain.' Lol. I was very happy with the service a thumbs up for all at this clinic

It's part of the outpatient section of Central DuPage Hospital. It looks very nice, the chairs are nice and cushy, but it is FREEZING in there! Bring a jacket. The paper robe in the offices don't cut it. I was desperate! We saw Dr. Kiesler for the last broken wrist as well as this one and really like how thorough he is in his explanations. We had a choice between a splint and a cast and my son openly admitted that he had to have a cast because he would take the splint off a lot. Rather than lecture on the subject, the doctor accepted it and moved on. The staff was very thorough with all the cast preparations including explaining to me that the waterproof option was not always covered by insurance. Its covered by my insurance, well at least for now. Dr. Kiesler put the cast on himself which I really appreciated. The parking can be confusing here. Park in lot 1 and then go in the outpatient building and up to the 5th floor. Don't forget that jacket!

They were able to ease my nerves as it's my first time ever getting these procedures. The team sent me all the instructions I needed prior to the procedure to help me prepare. The only downside to this experience is that they couldn't find my vein for a while, and there was no other option but to give anesthesia through IV. Some facilities have backup options like laughing gas. They ultimately found it, just in time for my procedure. The entire procedure took about an hour, I woke up pretty quickly, and I was also surprised how quickly they were able to get my results. They had images of the findings for me. The only thing that took a couple of days was biopsy. I'd totally come back to this facility in the future, and I'd recommend Dr. Ng and her team to anyone in the area looking for all things gastroenterology related.
