She understands that a patient KNOWS their body and she listens to you from that perspective. She has NEVER thought I was crazy, or a drug addict, or a faker. She has always spent as much time with me as I need and listened to every word that I say. I have referred friends to her who were in the same position as I was; ready to give up, frustrated, and tired of being dismissed. I can honestly say that Dr. Siegel is THE BEST, most caring, most competent, most intelligent and funniest rheumatologist in the entire state. If she moved her practice out of state, I would find a way to see her. I never want another rheumatologist to handle my care. Also, her long time medical assistant Shannon is AMAZING! She always listens and does everything possible to help me, even when she is swamped. I couldn't imagine Dr. Siegel having any other assistant. I am so fortunate to have these girls in my life, even if it is to treat RA, systemic Lupus (or RUPUS as doc calls it), Fibromyalgia, and everything else. As much as I like my current rheumatologist (Northwestern affiliate), I also have not seen many changes in how I was feeling in over 2 years, and was told I could seek out some other opinions outside of the Northwestern system. I thus far have found Dr. Khan to be very caring, thorough, in-depth, and willing to listen. Her staff and nurses/aids seemed very nice, and both of my visits Dr. Khan was very punctual (Yes, we've all had those doctor visits where we are left waiting in the little room for almost an hour..this was NOT the issue for my visits). We went over everything pertaining to my current condition and Dr. Khan ordered a series of tests to both get updated numbers, and to be more in-depth to other possible conditions which may be affecting my current "fibromyalgia" diagnosis. She also will go over significant test results and new medications with you in person, which I found very nice. I am having a fresh MRI to perhaps pinpoint another possible issue, and am due to see Dr. Khan again in April. I have also sent several messages to Dr. Khan thru the "MyChart" system, and her and/or her staff has always gotten back to me in a timely manner. While my condition seems very hard to treat, I am hoping for some better luck going forward with Dr. Khan. I plan to continue to see her, and my review is based thus far on the two meetings I have had with her and how I felt as a patient. I recommend Dr. Khan if you are seeking a second (or even third!) opinion as I was, and/or if you just wish to find your first rheumatologist for your specific condition, and are looking for good referrals and reviews. I believe she is rather new to the Elmhurst Hospital location but has great reviews from former patients that were out of state, some very disappointed that they won't be able to see her anymore being that she has relocated to our area - that says a lot. I also believe she can be seen at her Hinsdale office, too and appointments can even be made online. Very much recommended!

I booked here when I was having foot pain around 1.5 months ago. After doing research about local podiatrists, I chose this place due to their positive testimonials and experienced doctors. It was super quick and simple to book online, too. They do have limited availability for Dr. Halihan specifically (I believe he's only at this particular location on Thursdays) so be sure to check that if you'd like to book with him! The actual building has so much parking right in front and to the side which is great for Chicago. The waiting room was humongous and I was taken in relatively quickly both times. The receptionists at the front are very nice and personable, too. I had to reschedule one other time before my follow-up appointment and the lady was very helpful on the phone. They discovered I have a stress fracture and took x-rays at both of my appointments here. He listened to me thoroughly and gave me a boot to help, along with other tips on what to do to heal it. Even after a few days in the boot and not walking as much my foot felt so much better! If you're looking for an affordable doctor who knows what he's doing, I definitely recommend this place. Check if they take your insurance before, too! Will definitely be returning if I have any other foot problems moving forward.

But he listened to my very complicated recent medical history and spent time with me and asked questions to make sure he fully understood my issues. And he answered my questions in a way that I understood and that told me he cares about my concerns, and he gave me advice and options for his diagnosis based on my preferences/lifestyle/concerns/medical history. While not overly warm, he certainly was not "clinical and cold"; he was very kind and had wonderful bedside manner. Also, his staff was very nice and helpful. Since I was a new patient, they originally couldn't take me for a couple months when I scheduled the appointment, but they put me on a waiting list. When they had a cancellation, they made sure to call me so I could get in a month earlier than we thought.

He doesn't see any patient for 5 minutes; his patients can talk to him in the examining room for as long as they want to. I never felt that I was rushed or that there was a sense of Dr. Katz needing to leave for any reason. He answered all of my concerns in the most sincere way, and I can't ever say enough good things about him.

She called her father in to verify that made it even more horrible. RA will effect across the knuckles and swell bad. Had RA long enough to know a flare up. Not only that she took me off all drugs as my tests showed no inflammation. That alone was a no no for RA. I left the office and went to IBJI a doctor there seen me immediately. Gave me a shot and ordered biological drug. I think they both should close down their practice.

Firstly, her "idea" of keeping me in pain for several months on end, to "see" if the medication is working was INHUMANE!!!! Secondly, on my last visit, I was in a great deal of pain and had been for several weeks, almost at my wits end. I let her know, I was in a great deal of pain. She said, lets increase Methotrexate to (8) pills. She quickly reviewed the blood work, said, everything looked normal. I had questions about a couple results that were marked as "high" & was told, "the computer enters those numbers." I said, isn't that a gauge used to determine the result of the test? She said, again, it's only a computer, your labs are in normal range. She dismissed as if I was asking a stupid question. I asked another question, "Typically when the Methotrexate dosage is bumped up to (8) pills, how quickly do people generally feel some relief?" She said, "I can't tell you that, everyone is different" (here's the kicker comment), "I didn't give you this disease". I was shocked by your statement! I immediately said, "Well, I didn't ask for this disease." I was very annoyed by your comment. My husband also asked a question, she said, some blah blah blah stuff, then said again, "I didn't give you this disease." Once again, I didn't say anything but was clearly annoyed, as this was the 2nd time, she made that DISGUSTING comment to us. My husband asked yet another question & received the same information about "I didn't give you this disease" for a 3rd time!!! REALLY! At that point, I was done with her as she clearly has NO bedside manner nor compassion for me, as a person or as her patient. I did not deserve her rude comments. I was clearly in pain & in need of some Sympathy, Compassion & Hope for feeling relief from the constant pain I was dealing with, because of this awful disease, that I DIDN'T ask for, nor chose. The moment she disrespected me as a person, is the moment, I lost respect for her as a doctor, especially as my doctor. The only reason I didn't say anything that day, was because I needed the prescriptions & time to look for a new Doctor. Thankfully, I have found a doctor, who listens to my questions, gives me informed answers, has mapped out a game plan moving forward, and more importantly, my Doctor's top concern is managing my pain throughout the process.
