After Dr. Salam-Khan left the country, I was medically bereft (that's a diagnosis I made up), and…read morewent to a couple physicians before settling on Dr. Foster. I'm crazy about her (not medically speaking). To date, she's been my primary physician for a little over two years. I love that she spends plenty of time. I don't so much like that I usually have to wait longer than my appointment time, but I factor that in when I have an appointment that's later in the day. If my appointment is first thing in the morning, there's no issue. For urgent appointments, I've sometimes gotten in with her, other times I've been given a visit with another physician from the same office, or Linda, her nurse practitioner (all are terrific). I love how she listens. She's excellent at giving advice, including on mental health issues. She doesn't try to be a therapist, but she's good about making sure my panic condition is under control, even when I'm there for regular old physical wear and tear issues. She calls me if I've seen one of her associates and there's some question about my health to be clarified, and she's great about getting test results either mailed or communicated to me via phone. I really love that she's a one-stop shop. She did a nice, thorough history/physical the first time I came in, and she does the annual well-woman exams. In summary, great care of my body and brain, and a downright sweetheart. Her staff members are also quite nice. Her practice partners are excellent.

I can honestly say I have NEVER in all my years been treated that way in my entire life. She was down right confrontational and rude. If I hadn't had such positive experiences with the other physicians in her practice I'd find a new doctor ASAP. Yes, I will let my primary physician know next time I see her. Dr. Foster is definitely not helping their practice.

Being a nurse, I have worked with and been treated by numerous physicians. Dr. Trabolsi is one of a…read morekind. I have never had a physician spend so much time with me at an appointment. She is so compassionate and truly listens to her patients. I am so impressed by her memory as well. She pays attention to details and her desire to help her patients is very evident. Not only is Dr. Trabolsi amazing, but so is her staff and environment. At the York Street location, she has fabulous medical assistants. One specifically, Karen, is so professional, warm, and remembers me every time I am there! The ladies at the front desk are friendly and efficient, and the office is spotless. Anytime I send a mychart message or call, I get a response faster than expected. I highly recommend Dr. Trabolsi as a primary care physician, you will not be disappointed.

I was shocked to read her write up which was misleading and other than what we discussed. When I used the patient portal to seek clarification and call out this was in no way anything we discussed, it was modified to prescribe iron which was something I told her a prior treating physician recommended. What I also found odd was she "asked where was I from" out of the blue, I answered and assuming positive intent, I returned the question and was told "she's from another country". Huh?! I refused to ask what country because I took offense to her asking a question she wouldn't personally answer. The search continues....

I started seeing Dr. Khan in the beginning of February 2019. I was given her name on a list of…read morereferrals as I have been seeking a "Second Opinion" for my current bad fibromyalgia condition. As much as I like my current rheumatologist (Northwestern affiliate), I also have not seen many changes in how I was feeling in over 2 years, and was told I could seek out some other opinions outside of the Northwestern system. I thus far have found Dr. Khan to be very caring, thorough, in-depth, and willing to listen. Her staff and nurses/aids seemed very nice, and both of my visits Dr. Khan was very punctual (Yes, we've all had those doctor visits where we are left waiting in the little room for almost an hour..this was NOT the issue for my visits). We went over everything pertaining to my current condition and Dr. Khan ordered a series of tests to both get updated numbers, and to be more in-depth to other possible conditions which may be affecting my current "fibromyalgia" diagnosis. She also will go over significant test results and new medications with you in person, which I found very nice. I am having a fresh MRI to perhaps pinpoint another possible issue, and am due to see Dr. Khan again in April. I have also sent several messages to Dr. Khan thru the "MyChart" system, and her and/or her staff has always gotten back to me in a timely manner. While my condition seems very hard to treat, I am hoping for some better luck going forward with Dr. Khan. I plan to continue to see her, and my review is based thus far on the two meetings I have had with her and how I felt as a patient. I recommend Dr. Khan if you are seeking a second (or even third!) opinion as I was, and/or if you just wish to find your first rheumatologist for your specific condition, and are looking for good referrals and reviews. I believe she is rather new to the Elmhurst Hospital location but has great reviews from former patients that were out of state, some very disappointed that they won't be able to see her anymore being that she has relocated to our area - that says a lot. I also believe she can be seen at her Hinsdale office, too and appointments can even be made online. Very much recommended!
