I normally don't write reviews but I felt compelled to share my experience because of the poor service I received. My sister & I dealt directly with Mariam the owner for flowers for our fathers funeral that was on Friday June 26th 2015. My sister ordered a floral arrangement shaped into a cross to put on top of our father's casket, my sister communicated this to her in two ways by phone clearly stating the arrangement would go on top of the casket and also by text message to clarify, I read the text and it clearly stated for casket. I checked on the order the night before to confirm everything was in order and when I asked about it being placed on the casket she replied " it is on a stand, it cannot go on the casket" we went back and forth about what my sister meant but when I asked her about the text that said casket she replied "I thought she meant for the funeral". To be professional if you are not sure you call and ask. So now I don't have any floral arrangement for on top of the casket and she says it's too late to make a cross but she can make a nice spray of flowers for the casket for $250. The funeral is at 10am the next morning,so I say yes because I have no other choice. She also asks me to send her a text message of what I want written on the cross, so I text her what I want and also state if this is not clear to her, please let me know. The cross arrives the next morning and both the cross and casket spray are beautiful except that she spelled "Beloved Grandfather" "Beloved Grandfader"....how embarrassing to our family! Especially since I spelled everything out in detail.....lack of professionalism. And then the kicker is she charged my credit card $300 instead of $250 which is what we agreed on. And when I called back to discuss all of this with her she didn't care at all, she was indignant and said she made the spray for the casket even though it was last minute....AS IF i SHOULD BE GRATEFUL......IT WAS HER FAULT THAT SHE DIDN'T GET THE FIRST ORDER RIGHT, THAT CAUSED ME TO HAVE TO PUT THE SECOND ORDER IN AND ON TOP OF THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR IT AND THEN PAY $50 MORE BECAUSE IT WAS A LAST MINUTE ORDER OF WHICH SHE NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT TIL AFTER THE FACT.. DUE TO HER SCREW UP!! SHE NEVER APOLOGIZED, SHE NEVER OFFERED ANYTHING TO MAKE UP FOR HER MISTAKE, DIDN'T EVEN OFFER TO RETURN THE $50 OVER CHARGE THOUGH SHE KNEW I WAS UPSET ABOUT IT! On top of that she messed up my cousins order also, my cousin ordered a white floral arrangement on a stand on behalf of her father and a colorful arrangement on a stand for her and when they arrived they were two of the same arrangements. She did apologize to my cousin for that screw up. The arrangements were all very beautiful that was not the issue, the issue was her service and not trying to make things right. This place is great!! I started going here because it's literally down the street from my house. I've been in on several occasions and asked them to make something while I wait. I usually just tell them my budget and they always do an amazing job. I've called and ordered flowers for delivery many times and the arrangements have always been beautiful. The ladies here are always nice and professional. I've also been in a hurry a couple of times and they have dropped everything and put a beautiful bouquet together in 10 minutes. Prices are great, their work is absolutely flawless and I have referred all my friends to them. They are located in a shopping center and parking is super easy. They also have ready made arrangements on Sundays if your visiting a loved one who has passed. The best part is that prices are really reasonable compared to other places, and the ladies always have a smile on their face when you walk in. read more

I live between this wonderful shop and a well known flower shop(yeah right) so they say they are. My experience at Miriam's has never been anything but great excellent beautiful and best customer service. Their selection of flowers are amazing and their arrangements I have no words. You would think it's a grand store from Beverly Hills not a hidden away strip mall flower shop. I called last week and spoke to the owner to get a price on a flower arrangement I saw on their website. The father quoted me a price, and then proceeded do tell me to call back after Valentine's Day, to place the order, since they were very busy and I needed it for this Friday. I also asked if he can deliver the flowers on Friday to Woodland Hills, and he said yes for $20. He said call or come in day after Valentine's and we will do it and deliver it! I sent my Mom there today to see the arrangement and pay for it, and the price went up $350! The owner's son told me his father quoted the incorrect price, when I called to speak to him. I asked him to work with mom since she drove 1 hour to get there to find an arrangement for the cost we were looking for. To make matters worse, I hear from my Mom they they will absolutely not deliver the flowers. Now, I'm in a panic to rush order flowers for Friday. Horrible customer service! Worst service ever encountered!!! I went for the very first time a year ago and the owner, Mariam treated her customers like we were lucky she was serving us not that she is lucky she has customers with a flower shop at every corner in the Valley! But I thought she must have had a bad day and decided to give it another try. I walk in and Mariam's husband says "we closed!". Although their front door was open and the neon light outside blinked OPEN! I am disabled and takes me a long time to get around. All he had to do was be nice! Horrible service ever. I went there this morning to get flower arrangement around 60-70$ and Mariam's husband was there and I asked the florist if she can make me a new arrangement for welcome baby and she turned around and asked him if it's ok to make one then he said to me "we will make it but u have to wait nothing can be done without waiting" and I said I will wait if I know u guys can do what I want. I told them I want flowers with soft colors and I showed him the colors. He said u know what this gonna cost u 150$ (because of the colors) and the colors were white, yellow, green, nothing fancy. read more
