DON'T Rent from this company. They don't care about customers just their contract. Rent multiple tents a year. Gave a weeks notice and asked to change our rental date, not cancel just move. They said it wasn't allowed so my options are to cancel with no refund or to have a tent come on a day I don't need it. They said it's in their contract. Worst customer service. Overall the rental process was good. We worked through our event planner and invoices were sent back and forth to fit what we wanted within our budget. I appreciated that professionalism. The one complaint I have is the table linens were all wrinkled. For as much as I paid just to rent them, they should have be pressed and arrived on hangers - not folded in boxes. Once the decor was placed on the tables, it helped not to notice it as much. But honestly, a bride's parents are dropping a ton of money on a wedding and the table linens absolutely should be ironed. read more

My order was ready on time. I pulled up to the warehouse and was in and out in about 3 minutes. Easy to return rented items.

I host events twice a year, very large festivals. I rented some cooling fans for the summer one. One of the cooling fans smelt like rotten fish. The company told me they were busy and couldn't tell me when they would be able to review my complaint after calling twice. When they finally did they said the cooling fan was completely fine and wouldn't process any sort of refund. I'm sorry but the fan was absolutely unusable and the fact that they treat their customers like this is ridiculous. There is something to the customer is always right. Do better. Hope they can provide better equipment and customer service to people in the future! read more

I have had one of the most unprofessional experiences with this company. Their entire team is extremely rude, and could care less about their customers. My wedding unfortunately got postponed due to Covid 19, and so I called Marianne's Rentals to ask them about their procedures and protocols for Covid during this hard time. After speaking with their sales rep, she assured me that there was no issue and that they could just push out my date within a year. I explained to her we had not yet quite figured out the new date, and she assured me that was fine and she would place my account on "hold" until I knew. Several weeks later, I was able to secure a date and replied to one of the sales reps emails to me previously, to let her know the new date. The day of my original wedding date, I got a text saying the rentals were ready to pick up. I promptly called and said I had unfortunately already postponed and I was sorry they did all that work, but I had spoken with the sales rep previously and she had put a "hold" on my account. I was told that I had emailed an incorrect email with our new date, and so I was liable for the entire cost of the rentals and could sign a new contract and pay the cost again. I was not okay with this, as I had been told my account was on hold for my original date. So whether or not the new date had been received, the rentals should have never been pulled. I tried to call and get in touch with the company, and my calls were never answered or returned. From that day on, I would only receive short and rude emails. When asking to speak with the sales reps supervisor, I was given the name of their rental manager, and I tried to call her. I got an email from her saying again it was my fault and she would offer me half of the rental cost returned (I would still lose over $600 dollars) She was short, rude and did not wait for me to answer what I would like do, either return the money or credit it towards a new contract. I said I wanted to talk with the manager before I made a decision. Instead of letting me speak with her superior, she just refunded half the money. Without my permission, as I did not consent to this, I would have rather credited it. The problem was that I was not okay with losing over $600 dollars for their mistake, but instead of letting me speak with the manager and then make a decision, she ignored me and was extremely rude. She then told me I could call a specific number to reach her supervisor. I called, and two weeks later I still had not heard back. So I contacted the lady again asking what I should do and how I thought it was really unprofessional two weeks had gone by and I had not received any communication back. She gave me her supervisors email instead and told me she was not responsible for her boss returning my communication. Again, rude. Finally I emailed her supervisor explaining the situation, that none of this was my fault as I had been told my account was on hold, and with Covid 19 I was already very tight on money and could not afford to lose over $600. She told me that they did not have to even refund half, and so I could basically deal with it or find someone else. I am extremely saddened by their heartless nature, especially during this difficult time. They are rude, extremely unprofessional and I definitely would not recommend this company at all to be responsible for such a big part of one of the most important days of your life. I ordered tables and chairs to arrive on the day of the wedding. I did not take possession of the items or I would have refused them. Did not look anything like the pictures on the web site. They were so worn out there were NO tops left on the tables. And the chairs were so filthy I spent 90 min. Cleaning them !!! Need to ask questions !! , and demand items that look like the website pics I used thin white plastic with vintage lace over these tables but the horrible condition of the tables could not be hid read more

It's really unfortunate that Oklahoma City does not have more options for rentals. This is by far one of the worst experiences and worst customer service I've ever had in the hospitality industry. They had to reschedule my appointment three times because they had double booked my time with a consultant, and I even showed up multiple times to their show room, and they kept changing my appointment without notifying me in advance, finally we had an appointment. It was very simple what we were needing and it took three weeks to get a quote and it wasn't until I emailed the owner that we still did not have a quote or a bid or a deposit down and I needed to make that to secure the items we wanted to rent for the day. They came out and installed everything the day prior and did not bring everything that we had ordered and chose not to tell us again in advance. We didn't find out. We were missing coolers until they had delivered everything and unloaded it from the truck then I'm calling the store to find out why we were missing coolers from our order and they just said oh sorry They do not communicate and this caused a huge issue and ended up costing us money because we had to go out and buy coolers out of pocket versus renting them for a much cheaper price. Then, as you can see in the pictures provided, they absolutely destroyed my lawn with their trucks. They had no respect to stay on the concrete, and they decided to just drive directly on the grass and ruin it, they didn't even apologize and it took them over four weeks to refund us the money for the items that were never delivered. read more

I had a great experience here. Haley was incredibly helpful setting up our rental and it was not very expensive. The other thing I really liked was that the young men in the back had a 'can do' attitude when they were loading up our items. They were able to get everything into my small suv with ease. I've been fortunate enough to work with Marianne's several times over the years planning various events. In fact, some of my very favorite events I've ever hosted stand out to me because of the neat things I was able to rent from here. I love their beautiful linens - that's what they're known for and for good reason. Glitter, iridescent, opaque, every color and texture under the sun, they've got it. I also love their glasses - anything from highball glasses to champagne flutes, they've got it. I believe it is these little touches that make an event truly memorable. I've also rented their chairs before, and it is so nice to pay a bit extra to have the chairs placed quickly and perfectly by their staff. I could spend hours trying to get chairs in perfect rows, but they have the skill to do it right on the first pass. If you can dream up the event, there's a good chance Marianne's can make it happen. Need more space for guests? Look no further, Marianne's should be your go-to place! We rented tables and chairs for them several years ago and they were great. With more guests than ever before, we needed more space for Thanksgiving, so we researched our options, and found once again, Marianne's was the best quality and price in town. We picked Our tables and chairs up the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and returned them Friday. Best deal! The only reason they are getting 4/5 instead of full 5 is we had a set size we had reserved, and had our decor and table cloths planned out. When we went to pick our tables up, someone had rented our tables to a bigger venue. This was a little frustrating, but the manager went right into action to fix the issue. We were very appreciative of her help! But again, this was not the size we were planning for, so we had to scramble to figure out a new tablecloth. When returning the tables, we found out that if you rent tables and tablecloths for Thanksgiving, the tablecloths are 50% off, so definitely something to keep in mind for the future! read more

We had a big space and needed help transforming our commons area into a "starry night to remember". I decided to do myself a favor and rent from Marianne's. Bad idea. The good things first. I just needed to rent an extra table, chairs and linen. I had never rented from them before, called and was pleasantly surprised at the low cost. I then decided to drive to their location to look at the linen and chair choices. Again, I thought, great selection. Why haven't I done this before? The woman who helped me was pleasant and knowledgeable. This seemed like a great idea. No hauling extra chairs from the attic. No moving a table from another room. They'd deliver and pick up. Well worth the money.Or so I thought. Now for the bad part. They said they'd deliver the morning of the party between 9 and noon. At 11:30, I gave them a call to ask if they were on their way. They said they'd check with the driver and call me back. When they hadn't called back by 1, I called again. Again they said they'd find the driver and call me back. Again no return call. By now I I was fuming. Around 1:40, I called back. This time I was put on hold. The recording playing while I waited said something like, "Let us take the stress out of your next event." Ironic, huh? All they did was cause me stress. When someone finally answered, I explained the situation again and told her how frustrated I was. The woman I spoke with assured me she really would find the driver, really would call me back and offered to check to see if they could adjust my bill. She did locate the driver and called me back. The driver finally showed up closer to 4PM. Adjustment to the bill? Not in this lifetime. read more

Sales Rep ruined it for me. I originally had added this review to The Knot back in Sept of 2018 and was asked to move it over to Yelp by a couple brides who had experienced horror stories (yes brides talk...lol). This was MY PERSONAL experience with this company. Hopefully things have changed since then. At the end of the day, you do what makes you happy. This is a little lengthy, but maybe this might help someone who is back and forth on deciding who to choose for their wedding decor. My encounter with them went all the way wrong. As you know, planning weddings are already stressful as it is. One would hope companies like this would take that into consideration. They are one of the best in Oklahoma (pricey, but quality products). I think Marianne knows their one of the top dogs and it clearly shows. My representative (Silvia Delgado) was a nightmare and the reason for this review. She was one of the newer additions to their team. Upon meeting her, she was very rude and pushy. One of her first questions were "Well who is going to be paying for all of this". I was taken back with her tone and the audacity that she would even ask that. I don't know if she was passing judgement or what. Needless to say, my family and I were not impressed. Trust and believe we had the funds and had she treated me nicer, she would have been compensated very well . Anyways, throughout the process, she kept quoting me incorrectly. Mind you, she was a little new...so I let it slide. But it became so bad that I would have to wait on callbacks and emails because she would quote me something differently than what was on their website. Only to find out, the website pricing was correct. Well duh! I'm looking right at it! lol. Another thing that frustrated me was that there were several occasions where I would inquire about something and she would say "we don't have that" (with a snotty tone that I was all too familiar with). Then I would kindly refer her to look at their website where I found it myself. Then she'll say "Oh ok...That's cool, where are you going to put that". It became comical at this point. How did she end up in sales? I almost asked for another rep, but didn't want to ruffle any feathers. My wedding planner was surprised because he has worked with them before and hadn't experience this type of service. Fast forward to a few weeks before my wedding. I received my contracts. To no surprise, the entire thing was wrong. Silvia had items on there that were paid in full and it said I had only paid deposits. There were also items on there that I had previously asked to be removed and they weren't. That was the last straw for me. My planner and I started to look around at other event rental places. It was extremely frustrating and I almost gave up. But luckily I found a place for my furniture and back drop. I was allowed to cancel my Marianne contract 2 weeks prior to my event. I did it exactly at the two week mark. Had I waited any longer, I would have been screwed and out of money. The other company I found were so pleasant, easy to work with, and they didn't charge me an arm, a leg, and a kidney for my items. Nor did they charge me a crazy amount for their after hours pickup fee. My advice is.....If you use them, pay attention to everything. If you feel like there are no other options. Trust me, there are! Things might have gone differently if I had a different sales consultant, but unfortunately I didn't and she ran me off. Marianne has beautiful pieces and your wedding will look stunning using their products. However they are pricey (which wasn't even what ruined it for me, it was Sylvia). I just hated how I was treated. Pay attention to everything brides and don't do what I did...... If you're unsatisfied with your sales consultant, ask for another one or ask for manager. We're under enough stress as it is, we don't need more. I need an overall good experience in order for me to spend my dollars anywhere. It just wasn't worth sticking it out with them anymore. I was referred to Marianne's in 2012 for my small outdoor wedding by my best friend who has been renting from Marianne's since 2010. Their selection, staff, reasonable pricing, and wonderful delivery was fantastic. I had a very small backyard wedding (less than 40) but they never made me feel like my event was too small for their services. They delivered as promised and picked up as promised. I actually couldn't be present when they delivered and picked up but everything went smoothly. I've used them again and again for my annual crawfish boils. So nothing is too informal for them either! As for my best friend, in 2010 she had booked another company for her daughter's birthday party and they forgot her order/party and was a no show. She called Marianne's 2 hours before they closed and they were able to deliver and save the party. read more

This was a very disappointing experience. I had a very specific theme for the event and it was necessary to have a particular napkin to tie the entire theme together. Unfortunately, the napkin I picked out was not what was delivered and this greatly affect the look of the event. After notifying them after the party I was told that because the napkins were used they could only give me a partial refund. Obviously, they were used since the guests needed napkins and because the party was a surprise most of them were used prior to the guest of honor and host arrived. I find it absurd that it was their mistake and I suffered the loss of the necessary look to pull off the theme and they want to blame me for their mistake. It was your mistake and regardless of use I should have a full refund for the napkins. I have been a loyal customer for years and only one year prior spent many thousands of dollars for my son's party. I guess next time I will give my business to Mood Rentals! read more
