If I would have hired a lama to process our mortgage we would have received better service! We applied for a mortgage through Mrs Cyr and despite providing her with every document she requested in a timely manner (most documents within 24 hours, some obscure ones within 2 days), she still failed to make our closing date twice. We received a notification that everything was fine 5 business days before closing, yet she kept requesting increasingly obscure documentation. On the first closing date we only found out that it was cancelled from the title company because Mrs Cyr did not contact us, she was also unreachable for most of that day so we didn't even know why we weren't closing until after the closing time. She then requested additional documents AFTER the first closing date that were such specialized documents that only an accountant could provide them. Luckily I am an accountant and it is only because of that, that we were able to provide them. Yet, we still missed the second closing date due to Mrs Cyr having issues with her underwriter. She apologized and said she would lower our mortgage rate because of the ridiculous service we received but on the final closing date the interest rate was the same. We were also presented with a letter that my husband allegedly wrote, that he did not write, that she then wanted him to sign in retrospect. Then, a week after closing we received a notification from prime lending audit division stating that she messed up her calculations on our mortgage payments and we had to pay $100 more per month. I don't think that there was a single step in our process with her where she did not disappoint us. read more

My husband and I had a great experience with Marie Cyr of Prime Lending. We wanted to refinance our house, had a terribly high rate from when we purchased 7 years ago and were on an adjustable. I found Marie on Yelp and decided to call her based on the positive reviews and she was local in Round Rock, we were live. She is very attentive, returns calls and emails quickly and I really feel she went the extra mile with information and advice related to our credit scores. From the get go it was obvious she was very experienced and customer service is her priority. Our credit scores were decent, but not the best and we were able to cut our interest rate almost in half and were presented with lots of options for our refinance. We decided to go with a 20 year fixed (dropping additional years off) and still saved $175 a month. Had we done a new 30 year we would have saved even more, but my goal was to save money and have less years to pay on the house. From beginning to end it took approx 3 weeks (from application to closing). Of course on the borrowers end you need to be organized and get everything that is needed in order (pay statements, banking stuff, documents from the prior purchase, etc). Marie was the utmost professional and stayed on top of all the details. She is very knowledgable and even offered for us to reach out to her with questions related to our credit after the closing. Her communication and customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend her services to anyone considering a purchase or refinance. read more
