She has osteoarthritis due to a fall, stable angina, dementia, type 2 diabetes, and her legs are swollen due to abscesses (pockets of pus producing clear fluid). She was admitted to the ER in this hospital. The doctor only obtained her blood pressure, which is 101/74 mmHg, and heart rate, which is 101 bpm, but did not assess her oxygen saturation level, respiratory rate, temperature, or pain scale. The doctor immediately asked my sister and me if they could give my mother mechanical intubation, which I know is an invasive treatment but we refused. She was given a simple mask 10L instead. The doctor suggested to send her for dialysis but we refused because of her age and health conditions and even suggested to amputate her legs due to wounds & continuous swelling. The nurse had difficulties placing the nasogastric tube (NGT) (she seems like inexperience nurse, student nurse) I could see my mom is in deep pain. This hospital doesn't give pain killer to patients all they are concern is to give the mechanical intubation as a quick treatment. They are very poor in managing patient's pain. At last she was transferred to Chronic Disease ward after staying three days in ER. I dont know if my mother will survive any longer in this hospital:-(

So when I entered ARMMC, I was pleasantly surprised. It surely did not belong to the general category of government hospitals. In fact, its main lobby, based on design, looked like a modest version of St. Lukes Medical Center - Quezon City. There's a chandelier in the middle and the main motif is green. In terms of equipment, I was again impressed that they outdid their wealthier neighboring hospitals in one important aspect - ARMMC has an MRI. Our family had been looking for a nearby hospital offering MRI services. This was the last place we thought we could find what we were looking for. But, it's a fact: ARMMC is the only hospital in Marikina with MRI service.

I went home and went back around 10:30 since the sched is 11am. The doctor arrived past 11 and checked patients to my knowledge I would be the first, but I was checked last so I was very very stressed. I confronted the staff but she didn't say sorry. She said its the personnel below and when I talked to personnel below its the staff above. I also notified the optha Doctor said I was very very stressed. First come first serve issue.

All the medical staffs are always having a smiley face. They always joke around so that the patients can not feel the sadness and cannot be scared of their conditions. The doctors there may always busy, but they always have time if someone is asking them. Their Nurses and Nursing Attendants are always leaving a good impression that impacted the patients lives. Will never forget our experience in East Avenue Medical Center. Especially on how they treat the patients in there. The people there may not be perfect, but they always doing their best.

We waited for almost 2 hrs before one of the doctors advised to have a cbc count. We waited again for another several hours, when the doctors advised that my son needs to be admitted. Its until 2pm when we finally got a room. We've waited for almost 6hrs thinking that there are only a few patients and the nurses are just making chitchats. When we are on our room, my son peed the bedsheet, he don't have any diaper on just the plastic urine collector. In the first place, they should have requested the urine when we waited for almost 6hours at the emergency room. I requested for the bedsheet to be changed and the nurse mentioned promptly that it would have an additional charge. I said its fine because the bedsheet was wet. We waited again for almost 2 hrs and if I didn't update them at the nurse station, no one would change it. Right now we are on the third day and don't have any definite results yet but one thing is for sure, we will not go back here or recommend this place to mu friends.

Resident Dr. Kathleen Fermin, We would like to complain about Dr. Kathleen Fermin, this Dr. removed…read morethe Temporary Dialysis Catheter(Right Intrajugular) of my mother last April 29 and did not applied atleast 5 minutes pressure, this Dr. Left patient right away and hence resulted to post removal moderate bleeding that has reached my Mother's neck and Gown, this also resulted to oxygen desaturation to 91% and mulitple PVC's in the cardiac monitor, when we called this Dr. Back for help as I applied pressure on the bleeding site they only said this is normal and these 3 resident Drs did not apply pressure when asked again for help, these Drs disregarded our concern for bleeding, difficulty of breathing and PVC's, these Capitol Drs did not show care, compassion and competency. It is when the 2 Cardiac Fellows applied pressure after 15 minutes since it happened. Our mother has passes away less than 2 days since this happened. We filled a complaint letter in capitol but never heard any resolution.
