So me and my homegirl are waiting in line, checking out the number of psychics they had up. "I want to go to that lady over there".. "Yea me too, she looks like she knows what she's doing"... So we sit down and this woman... O my GOD! She knew soooo much about me and my friend. Like spot on. I've only ever been read at corporate events, and I met Marilyn at the "Get Elemental" Yelp event this week. Sitting with Marilyn was probably one of the best readings I've ever had. She doesn't ask you much, just gets your vibe and starts talking. She is extremely candid and mentioned some things that kind of blew my mind. In particular, she picked up on my little side project and love of writing (not yelp reviews, either!), made some pretty dead on observations about my love life, and pinpointed some of my major concerns without me saying a word about them. Wow! I didn't give Marilyn one bit of info about me and after sitting with me for less then 5 minutes, she said I needed to teach and in particular...children. Um, my major in college was Early Childhood education! She sensed other things about me as well, that were right on. It was amazing! She is amazing! I'll preface this review by saying that like many people interested in seeing a medium/psychic, I was an "optimistic skeptic." I felt unsure, nervous, and a part of me questioned my own sanity for actually "wanting" to see a psychic when LA has plenty of reputable shrinks who could talk me through my concerns. What makes Marilyn so special was that she took the "skeptic" out of the equation for me. I did a half-hour session and in that time, she was able to answer the vast majority of questions that I had written up, but never verbalized. It was rather amazing! She talks very quickly, so I would encourage anyone going to see her to bring a recording device so that you can reflect on your session after it is over. I didn't ask many questions about my long-term future, but, I do feel as though this glimpse into the proverbial crystal ball did wonders for my courage. I lost my fear quickly and allowed myself to absorb what the spirits and guides were saying. Another high point for me was getting to send love to a close relative who had passed on. I did the reading session with her via phone, so I didn't meet up with her in person but amazingly, she could say everything in my mind right out. She said the specific situation I'm right now and it's exactly what I'm struggling with. First, before the session, she told me to write all questions down and get ready to be opened up. I have only been to a Psychic three times in my life and have always been skeptical of them, but I recently lost my boyfriend and needed some closure and felt this was one of the ways to receive it. Out of my three times visiting a Psychic, I have seen Marilyn twice and she has always been spot on. I had a 15-minute phone reading with her months ago. It was interesting talking to her, but she didn't reveal anything about my past that was true, and her main prediction about my future was very vague. She said I would meet a guy with dark wavy hair, has something to do with music, and associated with the number 6. My current boyfriend has dark wavy hair and likes music, but I can't figure out what the 6 means. Lol, maybe I'm looking way too much into this. But I was searching for something more definite from her, something to prove to me that she's legit. The only thing that spooked me was when she said my mom's dad spirit is with me. That surprised me because she said as a factual statement and I never told her that my grandpa isn't alive. We ran out of things to talk about before the 15 minutes was up because she answered all my questions really quickly. She said I have some intuitive abilities of my own so I should tap into those so I wouldn't have to rely on psychics so much. This was is a really unselfish thing for her to tell a client. Though I went to Marilyn for career guidance I was also told I would be getting involved with a dancer/yoga instructor, younger than me, who was very "healthy food conscious" but not "too strict" and she even said what her name would sound like. Having never been to a psychic or medium before, I wasn't sure what to expect. Marilyn turned out to be spot on accurate -- describing my loved ones who had passed, even telling me when and how they passed, and seeing clearly where I am now. I'm not sure what rating to give Marilyn.. As much as some of her readings were spot on, but other things were very vague. She also mentioned me being featured on TV and being in New York and I'm not sure if this is a trend in her readings, but a girl below has also said the same thing (being on TV and in NY) which makes me incredibly skeptical. What I was left with were more questions rather than answers but that may just be my problem. I'd say the accuracy level was at most 90%, the 10% is yet to be determined. Some of the interests she cited were something I'm personally against or completely disinterested in.
