Have you to admit when I heard The Green Man Store was moving from NoNo to Burbank I was a bit bummed...then I remembered some of my favorite metaphysical and spooky stores are in Burbank so I got over the disappointment quickly. I've gotta get back to organizing this series of events I've been working on this Winter/2024 Season. I was specifically looking for their on-site counselor at 'The Green Man Store,' when I was referred to Francesca. She was super friendly, down to Earth, to-the-point and beyond efficient!!!! I walked out 200% confident of my 'Next Steps,' on my career transitions. Also, Spencer showed me a great time before my walk-in appointment with Francesca! It was such a lucky day because i had literally just found free parking and Francesca was just about to take off. That for sure was Not a coincidence!!!! That had to be a 'meant-to-be,' walk-in appointment!!!! Also, they carried Lots of crystals in the shop as well. It would take hours to finish browsing all the various types of crystals they displayed around the different sides of display tables. I showed up during last hour of the Store's operational hours, so I didn't have enough time to browse. I've gotta get back here this coming week. What caught my attention originally to this business was their store name, 'The Green Man's Store,' sounded quite catchy there already for a Crystal Shop!!!! Spencer turned on extremely soothing music right when I walked in which made me feel like I was at a Spa. Lovin' the store's wall decors too. The entire store's ambiance turned out just naturally inviting to me and definitely felt positive energy all over the venue. All staff were super friendly, but just Spencer and Francesca stood out. This is my local "go-to" apothecary, workshops, reading & all things spiritual store! I love the outside entrance. Very mystical and enchanting, hidden on Lankershim Blvd just north of Burbank Blvd. The minute you walk into the tiny storefront you will be greeted with friendly employees and amazing items. It's my kinda "candy store!" Adorned with beautiful crystals, candles, statues, incense, jewelry, oils, herbs, books and so much more! They offer workshops online and in person. Don't let the front room of the store fool you. It goes further back where they have a room for workshops and a second floor where the "real work" happens. (Readings, tea leaf readings, tarot and psychic) They prefer appointments but you can walk in. I really enjoy this spot and happy that I found it. I've done two tea readings with Monica, and she is amazing. My first reading was over the phone and the second in person. I would definitely recommend going in person. The shop is small, where the front offers a ton of different crystals, incense and books. They normally have one person working the shop and they are very knowledgeable. The readings are held in a different part of the building, but they will walk you over to where it is. Just be sure to let the front desk person know who you are there to see. They don't have a parking lot, but you can street park pretty easily. read more

I been to the Green Man Store (their first location by Noho station) when I was a junior in high school and all through my college years. I never once had a problem. They been very kind and sweet, but that was years ago. I'm now 30 and went to visit with my mother. I did not had any problems. I got helped my a kind gentleman. I explained the situation and he gave me tips/advice on what oils I may need and want. Besides the oil, they have variety of Gods/Goddesses statues which were beautiful great selection for tarot cards, crystals, and etc The reason why I chose "maybe" recommend this place are due to some people will be uncomfortable due to certain products, employees saying this is a witchcraft store (I found it amusing and pretended I didn't know), and etc read more

One of the managers (Jerel) is a well of knowledge & very amicable. The ppl are friendly & very willing to assist & educate with any questions. Clearly their aim is to help u with the needs of ur journey, not to make a sale. There r readings available upstairs in private rooms. The ambiance coincides with the aura of their products. This is my top store to go to for good candle dressings and readings. I hate when I go somewhere and they do a reading but then they are trying to sell you into doing work with them. But this place is more bias perhaps in a way, they don't try to push you into a singular belief per se. Amazing! Monica Sorce - did a tea leaf reading for me. She hit so many past and present items. The situation was spot on and the future items seem aligned with some things I already know are probable. Monica is very caring and sensitive in her reading. Okay, I came to the store that scared me... But with real reasons. Firstly, I saw something on pInterest that my dad would like... Secondly, there are more scary things to encounter in and around the place. I just had to conquer a fear. The store ambiance was dark, eerie and small. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The merchandise was normal: jewelry, stones, books, gifts, readings, etc... The books were old. They didn't carry the pInterest stuff. I liked everything with a scent, jewelry and handmade ouija board. Maybe I could replace my dragonfly crystal. Maybe not. And they had beautiful carved keychains for cheap. I loved a carved polished heart in cherry citrine versus rose. They had big hearts in rose quartz too... The big hearts came with pricetag. I bought a couple things that I wouldn't find at the nearby malls. It was an okay store. read more

I've been wanting to write a review about this place for a few years now, and have been unsure to do so since my last reading with one of the readers named Tommy left me traumatized. It's taken me 3 years to speak up about it. I was referred to Tommy through my friend / roommate at the time during the pandemic. On our initial call, Tommy seemed like a nice person very engaged and ready to dive in to our reading. Since his energy seemed good, I continued to do a readings with him every three to four weeks for about 7 months. I engaged in readings with Tommy around my living situation, family, and career. Towards the tail end of our reader/client relationship was when things really took a turn. I had been working for months on a project that was a few weeks away from launching and he had suggested that I purchase a "solar blast candle" for the success of this project. He then referred me to Monica from The Green Man Store who specializes in making these candles. And since I did not live in LA, I had my friend who was going home for the weekend pick it up for me. A few days later, the candle was in my possession and ready for me to light up. Upon pulling the glass jar container out from the paper bag, I see a yellow candle inside the jar with an interesting half rainbow made of glitter slapped across one side of the candle and herb like seeds coated the bottom of the jar with a very strong alluring smell made of essential oils and fennel seeds. I was now ready to light the candle but something in my gut did not feel right so I took a second to think about it. I picked up the candle to took a closer look and what I notice was shocking to me. The glitter half rainbow appeared to be covering the actual picture of a phallus (penis) etched into the candle hidden behind the rainbow facade and was pointed downwards with little lines coming out of the tip of the phallus shooting towards the seeds. By now, my gut and senses were definitely unsure about the intention of this candle, which brought me to my next step was to ask Tommy what this candle is about and why there was a hidden phallus and lines (representing sperm) behind the rainbow. I texted him the next day and he responded with a audio message back. His response seemed to be a little distant and tone of voice was not like how he usually sounded on our readings. So I took it a step further to get clarity and booked what turned out to be my last reading with him. On the call I asked him what the candle is meant for and in his words he said, "it's like 'borrowing energy' from the planets Venus, Jupiter, & Mars.. making you look more attractive like there's this sparkling energy about you where people will gravitate towards you...and that's in support of you having a successful project release." The word that popped out at me was "borrowing energy". So I kindly said back to him that, "I don't believe in manipulating other people into liking me or this project. People have free, if they don't like it, they don't have to pretend to." He did not really like what I had to say so he gaslighted me. He said things like, "you're on the edge of going berserk," rudely made a spat noise and directed it on my lineage, and even invoke some latin sounding incantations or spell on me. I was totally not expecting this kind of behavior especially after months of reading with him and having shared so much in our readings about myself, my family, and things I'm dealing with. Of course what I shared was in the form of questions and his answers were in the form of rune readings. And from time to time, he suggested questions for me to ask. After that reading, I felt my world went gloomy instantly and it impacted me for over three years. I still have moments when it comes back to ping at me, hence why I'm writing this review to share this negative experience. No paying customer, or person deserves to be treated this way - PERIOD! Be aware folks you won't know if a spell is being casted on you to like their services or readers. Another thing to note, my friend/roommate who referred me was also doing readings with Tommy before I did. She was dealing with a past ex-breakup that took five years to get over. Tommy in one of their readings suggested that she purchase a cord-cutting candle or make one since she wasn't living in LA. After his recommendation, she was somewhat frantic and in a hurry to get her hands on this candle and I remember her feeling also iffy about it but she was under some spell. Next thing you know, she lights the candle for 24 hours and a few days later the energy of the house hold begins to feel heavy and the arguments between her and I ensue. Tommy suggested that we don't burn sage due to it leaving holes in the "energetic fabric" so we didn't - complete B.S. She ended moving out 2 months later following the lighting of the candle and we are no longer friends. Her and another friend who Tommy suggested the candle to father's both passed around the same time. read more

Yesterday I stopped by with my dog. Yes my dog was off leash. My dog is a service dog and has better manners than most humans. The minute I walked in a woman with glasses said. There's a sign on the door that says no dogs allowed. Your dog can't be in the store. She was extremely rude and had no manners. Instead of saying I'm so sorry your dog can't come in. I almost left. I only stayed because my daughter was needing something from the shop. In the end the rude lady left. And a really sweet handsome guy and a kilt ended up helping us. We found what we needed and left. I steer clear of awful people and she is not someone I would like to see again. I don't think I'll be back. read more

But be aware of the energy ... as soon is you walk to those place these airy bad vibes are all over the place.... Make sure you come in and out and don't let those pesky vibes get in to your bubble. But don't worry the helper at the shop will get you in an out with their nasty demeanor that you don't even want to look around their goodies... it seems that they don't want people in n their shop.
