She is currently painting a series of works representing the past and present of the Marblehead Peninsula, both in persons and places of the area. Definitely a 'must see' while there! The emphasis at Rosie's is not just on 'the sale'. There are places inside and out to relax and have a comfy seat, taking in the atmosphere of the boutique and the surrounding neighborhood, as well. Rose is a friendly, multi-talented individual and offers a wide palette of artforms to choose from. This is a super cool public market hall in downtown Sandusky with maybe 15ish (just a guess) local businesses like a bakery, bowling alley, axe throwing game space, ice cream shop and boutiques. This is a cool place to spend an hour or two just browsing and supporting local while grabbing some dessert. The building has some type of history to it which I was unable to readily find online (boo, that is so odd). But the history is paid homage in the design of this space, with old timey photos of Sandusky and Cedar Point blown up on the walls and little stories to accompany them. The design is actually brilliant. It's a cool mixture of old school heritage meets modern rustic vibes. It makes you want to stop and look. The businesses in this building are open during the pandemic, just make sure to check with each business directly before visiting as most of the hours are likely changed. I stopped by here extremely quickly (I do not go out much during the pandemic) to pick up some pre-paid birthday treats from Bake Erie. It has a spacious, accessible parking lot and is just a joy to browse. Check it out for yourself, than continue exploring the surrounding area of local businesses... and Lake Erie :)

Many times I have went into this store, they told me the bare minimum of the deals running, for me to walk out and find out later that I could have paid way less or was scammed out of getting a free item for money I already spent. Just recently I spent $150 at this store, and was entitled to a free tote bag, but none of the employees told me! And yes, it was available to redeem in store! I honestly suggest to use this store to try on the items, then just buy them online. Because you're going to get a way better deal online than in this store. Not to mention, they don't match online prices in store (this probably applies to all stores). They also won't let you return items same day! Maybe this store just has extremely strict policies to gatekeep information from customers so they spend the most money possible. Either way, look THOROUGHLY online for deals that work in-store before going in, because nobody here is trying to help you get the best deal. I love the clothing from this brand, but this store honestly is terrible.

I was measured for bra size and bought a few bras in the size they recommended. Every bra I…read morepurchased was too small around my body and the cup size was way too large. In doing some research, it appears that I was measured wrong. Instead of being measured above my breasts and under my arms (32 inches), they should have measured me under the breasts (38 inches). Then you measure around the breasts - take that number and subtract the under breast number to find your cup size. I was told I was a DDD, when I'm only a C-D. When I took the bras back to the store and requested to be measured the correct way - they refused! So, instead of helping me find the correct bra size, I returned the bras that were the wrong size. Not only will I no longer buy my bras from Victoria Secret, the customer service and attitude I received from the staff will deter me from ever purchasing products from them.

All 3 of us found something fun to buy here. I got a knit sweater on sale, my friend found a jacket from a Western brand that she likes a lot, and our third friend found something fun as well. There were several sale racks and some bath products as well. I also purchased some pet shampoo from the Marblehead soap company, so there are some regional brands featured. It was a fun shop with a friendly proprietor.

While shopping in the Village Peddler on Kelly's Island, I purchased 4 items, or so I thought I…read morepurchased them, one of which was a bracelet. An hour after I left the store I was approached by a very nice police officer who told me I was accused of stealing the bracelet. I showed him my receipt, only to find there were 3 items on the receipt ,not 4 items, all listed as Miscellaneous. I walked back to the store to pay for whichever item was not originally charged. Turns out cashier never charged me for the bracelet I bought, although I asked cashier the price and told her I would wear it out. Cashier told me I could not buy the bracelet and I had to give it back to her! I have often shopped in the Village Peddler but will NEVER do so again! Such rude, unprincipled behavior can not be tolerated. Cashier made the mistake by not charging me, yet I was hunted down like a criminal (police officer was kind and respectful). I 100% cooperated to help resolve the store's issue, not one bit mad, just confused as to which item was not originally charged, and I was treated by the store cashier very very rudely. Unfortunately no real competition on the Island so if you're looking to open a women/men's boutique on Kelly's Island I think you could really make a go of it by just being honest and kind to your patrons. STAY AWAY from the VILLAGE PEDDLER shop on Kelly's Island.
