The service here is HORRIBLE. we waited 45 minutes to get when the line was 10 people ahead of us. I waited for 30 MINUTES FOR WATER. The waiters blatantly ignore their customers and when they do talk to you they ignored me to my FACE. I asked for a margarita and the waiter WALKED AWAY. We ordered our free cocktails over an hour and a half ago and NOTHING. my friend also ordered a salad and it's been an hour. Marina Beach Club boasts a fabulously beautiful location with incredible views of the ocean and the shores of Valencia. Our recent lunch experience there was nothing short of exquisite! Arriving without a reservation on a Saturday, we were seated without a wait; service was welcoming, quick, and very friendly. Tip: The starter we chose (with advice from our server) was the steamed mussels. As our server had said, we found that a single portion was more than enough for two to share. We also enjoyed several cocktails with our meal that day; my favorite by far was the Pumpkin amuse - delicious! For our main, we shared the fillet of ray (tronco rodaballo). This dish was beautiful to look at, with a taste profile that bordered on distilled awesomeness :-) Bottom line: Fabulous views, excellent service, and wonderful food made our experience here one that I look forward to repeating. While the prices for bread, wine, and coffee were a bit on the high side, the overall cost of our meal was more than reasonable given the quality of the food and the service. read more

The people speak the truth: service here is TERRIBLE. Have the staff been trained to be surly and annoyed? From the moment I waited 10 mins in the scorching sun at the reception desk for the missing hostess, to the waiter who told he wanted me to pay cash because card was a hassle - sorry who's paying? The waitress who told me I should not go to the beach because that area is closed - why is it called Marina BEACH club? It may be closed, but the beach is open and being helpful costs nothing. And the DJ deserve special praise for playing thumping house beats at 2pm on a Wednesday. It's a daring choice. A choice I wish you didn't make for us. This is prime chill time, so take a Xanax and come down from whatever high you think you're on. Absolutely astonishing consistently bad service. But otherwise it is a fun place and sadly the only pool option on the beach. Hopefully this place gets some competition to knock some sense into the owners.‍ read more

Pretentious as all get out and has a clubby vibe even during the day, but it's a great place to beat the heat of summer and hang out by a pool. You can overlook the ocean without the hassle! As others have said it's €50 per person, which gets you a little bed type thing and a €35 credit for food and drinks (the pours are generous and the sandwiches are delicious). Towels are a €15 deposit each. There are several bars and restaurants, and waiter service for the pool beds, so it makes a nice relaxing day...even if the pool was a bit chilly. Make sure you make a reservation (on a June Friday it was sold out before the day began) and grab "pool beds" not sand ones as it didn't seem that the "sand people" were allowed in the pool. And don't forget your iPhone...lots of Instagram opportunities and the brand regrams their favorite on their account. read more

Very disappointed in our experience at this restaurant. We ordered paella and it took over 70min to arrive. It was also near impossible to get any service (had to track down servers to get anything done). When I tried to ask manager why it was taking so long for the food, he saw me, and quickly left to the kitchen clearly trying to avoid me. When I finally found him he said it is coming soon and there was "some Mixup" in the kitchen. At this point we were no longer hungry. They brought the food anyways and charged us. They brought a bottle of champagne and opened it without asking us if we even wanted this (we didnt) so we have it to the table nearby. Sushi was good, but service was horrific. While mixups do happen, the way this was handled by the manager was unacceptable. read more

We visited both the bar area outside and had dinner at the restaurant and both experiences were very pleasant. The establishment is really beautiful, with an infiniti pool and poolside seating..it's great for a night out. The outside bar offers cocktails by the glass and by the bottle. Now for dinner; we made reservations ahead of time and were promptly seated. I tried the setas croquettes and their dragon roll. They offer two menu, one for regular/traditional dishes and one Japanese cuisine options. All dishes were very well presented and just as tasty! I arrived this morning in Valencia and had a great day. I saw beautiful architecture and pristine beaches. And then. I went to Marina Beach Club. I can't lie, the ambience and the aesthetic is exceptional. The service? TWO THUMBS DOWN!! My friends and I had an hour and a half before catching our train. Two paellas, an hour and a half? No problem, right? Pause, NOT. Not only did the food take over an hour and fifteen, but one of the paella's arrived burnt. The wait staff continued to lie, saying, "3 minutos," over and over again. Not only did they lie to me, but they disrespected me. I feel like an idiot. A loser. Fat. And for what? Some dusty, burnt, dry chicken and rice? What a joke. What a scam. What a scheme. Honestly a great scheme, at that. Well done, Marina Beach Club! You managed to screw over a group of college students who currently don't make enough money to pay taxes! If you appreciate good people. Local people. Who care about the public and the common good. People who would rather tell you the truth than make you miss your train? I would not recommend the Marina Beach Club in Valencia. I would actually recommend against it, if I'm being honest. Please. I beg you. Have some heart, care about the world, don't litter, and DO NOT go to the Marine Beach Club. P.S. if you hate puppies, infants, and sleeping in on Sundays then this is definitely the place for you. We initially came here for drinks after hitting the beach, but we enjoyed the outdoor seating so much that we actually came back again for our last dinner. I had some truly glorious tartare, and the table shared a few fresh sushi rolls. In the summer months, I would definitely recommend having a drink outside while waiting for your dinner reservation. From the outside, the restaurant looks very sophisticated and luxurious. But when the three of us entered the building, several service personnel simply walked past us without paying attention to us. We had to draw attention to ourselves several times in order to get it. Afterwards we were placed, but again we didn't get a menu for more than 10 minutes. We had the constant feeling of not being welcome. Also with the order of drinks and food we almost had to beg to be allowed to order. Listen if you want a place with a pool, no sand, with a feeling of being on the beach, have a cocktails and food served to you when you want this place is great! It's the best beach club I ever been to. There is a music, there are beds, with full shade, partial shade and no shade at all. Food is tasty and not expensive between €10-€15 euro. Drinks are €10 and it's all while you are lounging on a comfy bed. I love to look at the waves but I do t like being in the water, this place is perfect for me. The cost is €30 deposit for the towel - refundable upon leaving. You pay per person €50 and this is your bar/food/service spend on weekday, and €70 per person on weekend So per couple you are looking at €100 weekday or €140 on weekend. Sounds pricey, but that's the best way to be on the beach without running on the hot sand back and forth between toilets, snack bar, and then shake off all the sand. read more

Good scene but drinks were overpriced and food terrible. Nice concept, terrible execution. First they sent all four of our orders sitting out in the sun to another couple. The salmon fritters and gyoza we had tasted like cardboard - they only serve Japanese and American food. Why no Mediterranean food? They also tried to serve me a bok choy salad but it really was just white lettuce. Nice that they let me return it to the kitchen but it took over 30 minutes to get another salad. Then we asked for an aperol spritz directly from the bartender who had never heard of such a thing - it's summer on the beach in Europe... I feel like everyone knows of this drink. So the waitress came to us reprimanding us that we can only order from the menu. The pina colada was also on the rocks, not blended. Great beautiful people watching. read more

Too bad I cannot leave ZERO stars. My husband and I reserved sunbeds at the beach club and got a food/drink credit for $40€ ea. Overall we spent $180 US. Our service was completely terrible. They ignored us and forgot to put in our food order. When my husband finally got his nachos after asking for it 3x, they forgot to bring the cheese with it!! I'd never go here again. In fact, I recommend renting a chair on the beach and leave the beach club for yuppies who dont like SERVICE. read more

We went there to make a reservation for the following day. We were helped by a girl. While we made the reservation there where 2 staff guys standing next to her. Laughing in our faces. They were talking to each other in spanish about us and when I asked them "what's up?" They said "nothing" and continued laughing even harder. We felt like we were looked down on and they were embarresing us. Extremely rude, and of course we didn't come back the day after. Also it's quitte expensive, so if you also get treated like this. This review is primarily for the restaurant attached to the beach area. As others have accurately described it, the beach area "club" is an interesting way to be at the beach while having an infinity pool to cool off in plus excellent table service with tasty sandwiches and drinks. We enjoyed both the Club and the restaurant (different days) So, on to the restaurant review: What a wow! We (my Valencian friend and I) loved this restaurant. Ask for a table with a view of the beach (they won't guarantee it but if you go a little early for dinner--say 8:30, not the usual 9 or 10pm, you'll get that table) and you will dine while gazing at the sea (on a hot day, in air conditioned comfort, behind glass!) The prices were not high at all and the food was delicious. Croquetas were fabulous! Will definitely dine here again. read more
