We loved Gusto Gelato so much that we've already been back twice -- and I'm pretty sure we're not done yet! The flavors are outstanding. The coffee bean gelato is absolutely exquisite, the double chocolate and mint chocolate are rich and satisfying, and the white stracciatella is truly divine. Every scoop tastes fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The shop itself is clean and inviting, and the service is friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. There are two of these shops located at two ends of the main drag of C. Hama and Rizal Street in Central El Nido. For some reason, it was well past 11am and the main spot on C. Hama/ Magsaysay St. never brought out their gelato. The answer was always "soon" even 30 minutes later. This spot is bigger, has many clean tables and usually very popular with a long line. We settled with another location we found on the other end near Rizal Street. This one operates more as a grab and go right near the beach probably meant to lure in tired tourists after their island hopping tours. For 200 PHP, I opted for a cup with two flavors -- Ube and Salted Caramel. Very luscious and delightfully slick. Ube gelato flavor was little more muted than I would have liked. Because this location is a grab and go, I did not see any crepes or waffles. A little touristy, but a magical little, sweet snack. read more

I had a great experience and this is so far the best coffee resto Ive been to for 9 months of staying in El nido. I used to pick their varieties of gelato but this time I preferred to order their croissant and coffee latte. I also want to commend the staffs who have been so acommodating everytime I stop by this shop. I happened to visit lots of coffee shops before at the pops district who were so acommodating with the non-locals that they would occasionally visit their table but would just skip mine, but today in Gelato beside the Mazabor, this is the first time that I got asked if I'm satisfied with the foods that they served.They even offered a glass water even me without asking for it This is so touching and definitely memorable encounter!!! read more

Gusto Gelato is the spot in El Nido for gelato! We came here twice during our El Nido trip. The first time we came for the coffee and crepe that we saw was made right in front of everyone walking by, so we were sold! We ordered a Peanut Butter Crepe and a drip coffee and sat inside, as Gusto Gelato is one of the few places in El Nido with wifi! Bless this place! The Peanut Butter Crepe was made with Jiffy and it was really packed in with the peanut butter. Crepe texture was soft and very warm, served as soon as it was made. It was tasty! Coffee was also good. The second time we visited was for the gelato since we missed it during our first visit because they don't serve the gelato 'til after 10am. The gelato is where it's at. You can try any of the flavors, and I ended up getting the Dark Chocolate and Ube flavors. In order to get multiple flavors, you have to upgrade in size, as they don't do split flavors in one scoop like at other gelato shops. But you'll want to try multiple flavors anyway! Ube was good, but I though the dark chocolate flavor was better with more of a distinct flavor. Gusto Gelato is a solid place for gelato in El Nido! Come for the dessert or crepe and take advantage of the strong and secured wifi. read more

Scammers!!! Beware of excessive charge scam with this place. My gf and I ordered pizza down the street, came over to Gelato to get ice cream and a crepe. We ordered our food and sat down at the outside table. I walked out and picked up our pizza and came back to eat our ice cream and crepe with the pizza. The lady behind the counter walks over and says excuse me we have to charge you 300 pesos because you ate food and drank from a water bottle that didn't come here. I said sorry we didn't know we were not allowed to bring food over to the outside table. I said there is no sign saying it's not allowed. She said sorry that you didn't know but we still have to charge you. They don't offer any warning or post a sign. My gf and I debated on going to the police station afterwards because we are pretty sure this is a tourist scam. We ended up just paying and leaving and will never go back when we vacation here. Decent gelato, crepes, and waffles. Although the service is some of the worst, you can't really expect much when the motto of the island is to take it easy. I'm a sucker for anything ube, so that flavour was probably my favourite. It's a good place to stop by if you've got a craving for something sweet. We have been here twice. Once for crepes and once for gelato. We had a sugar crepe and a house special, which is Nutella and coconut. Both were good but the Nutella one had way too much Nutella so tell them to be light on the Nutella. We ordered gelato here and it was pretty good. It's a bit more icy than what I'm used to, but for on the island it was probably as good as it can be. I would recommend stopping by this spot! read more
