I dont know what its called but I like the beef steak with onion gravy and homemade french fries. If you get lucky she will offer you some CHICHA (its a drink that they have in Peru, its a juice like TANG) or some Peruvian candies. The CEVICHE is the bomb because the ingredients are fresh. I felt it was well worth the cost of admission: $20 in advance $25 at the door (cash only) $35 for both days This event is typically the 2nd week in July, and features amazing blues musicians and vocalists. It's close to the Hayward BART Station at the Hayward City Hall. Russell City is an unincorporated area of Hayward where folks from the deep South settled back in the day. I am not sure if people would come from all over the area to attend. However, it is perfect for locals. This year there were a lot of good choices for food. Bands played and people danced. We continued to spend weekends and summer vacations in Inverness and I spent a lot of time in Point Reyes and surrounding areas. Almost 50 years later it is still very familiar to me. A lot more hipster than hippie now but still laid back and nostalgic for me. Many of the original businesses are still here just with modern updates. Toby's, the gas station, the Presbyterian church, the elementary school are still around. This is a great place to come to after a day of hiking or spending time at one of the nearby beaches .

Terry K's all-day Easter Bunny Bash 2026 in San Francisco!…read more My day started at 4:30a - some of us carpooled and met up with Mike H at his home for an 8:30a meet up with Terry and the other bunnies at the GG Welcome Center. GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE hike (Part 1) - started our hike and was around 59° but by the time we got back it was near 70°. What a refreshing stroll with Karl the Fog as a no-show! The Golden Gate Bridge is 1.7 miles long one way, making a round trip approximately 3.4 miles. Most people take about 45 minutes to 2 hours to walk across, depending on their pace and stops for photos. We probably took about 1.5 to 2 hours... you know we have to take our pics! RICHMOND REPUBLIC DRAUGHT HOUSE (Part 2) - the bunnies were hangry after our hike but what to do between 11:00a and our reservation at the dim sum place at 1:00p?? We had sips and bites at this homey spot: a bar, restaurant and public house in the Richmond District. We indulged in fries, tater tots, chicken wings and nachos. We were fortunate to have Kyra with us in the car as she knows the ins and outs of San Francisco! TASTE OF FUSION KITCHEN (Part 3) - so we got a little bit full (at least I was) from the previous place and here we met with the rest of the group-- Party of 14! I don't know exactly who did the ordering but damn! the food kept coming non-stop. I had to wave the white flag early and surrendered before all the food were served. These Yelpers be yelping! Luckily, none of us had to be rolled out of there... can you say time for a nap time, though? This brings us to our next and final stop... THE BUENA VISTA (Part 4) - can you say COFFEE!!! Not just coffee, no, no, no... this isn't Folgers. If you want to experience the best part of waking up... you need to get your a$$ for a cup of Joe here, the real deal, the original Irish coffee! While Therese and I were not coffee drinkers we enjoyed watching the others sip their coffees with shots of liquor, Tequila, brandy, Baileys and/or whiskey! The most important ones we had to watch were the drivers LoL! The rest of us woke up just by climbing that darn hill to our parked car. That's all folks! Friends from Hawaii, Sacramento and…read morethe Bay Area dressed in bunny outfits, bunny ears and Easter glasses met up at the SF side of Golden Gate Bridge at 8:30am for our walk and hop across the bridge to the Marin side before we made our return back to SF side. As many of you know, it could be foggy, windy and cold at the Bridge. But for our Bunny Bash? The weather was a perfect as it could be, sunny, warm with just a slight wind. A beautiful day! After our walk, we headed for some snacks and libations at the Richmond Draught House and then to a Taste of Fusion, where we met up with four more friends for a delightful dim sum lunch. Though I couldn't make it, some of the group headed to the Buena Vista for their famous Irish coffee. Thanks Terry K. and Krya K. for hosting the Bunny Bash and for the invite!

Fun, food, and lots of free stuff! Free stuff?! Did somebody say, "Free Stuff?!" Whoa--I am so there! I checked out the website as to who would be participating at Caltopia XI. I read there were going to be free haircuts and mini manis from Paris Beauty School. Oh, I will definitely get in on a free haircut! My hair needs it! And it is free! And Yelp! is going to be there?! Oh, I will definitely go to Caltopia to see Yelp! Because of my studies, I have not been able to attend any Yelp!-related events. Other participants were The Melt, IKEA, Extreme Pizza, Bank of America, Ben and Jerry's, Paris Beauty School, Benefit Cosmetics, Aveda, Pentel, and many of Cal's student services and organizations on campus. I was amongst the early birds who got there early and was amongst those waiting in line for Caltopia to begin. I took part at Cal Student Store's plinko game. Scored a gold pen and Cal scarf! I made a new Yelp! friend (Hey Maggie W!) while we were waiting to be let in! Scored a campus police tote and a car air freshner right before the moment we were allowed to go into the RSF. All righty then, let's roll. Played a few games, won some prizes. Signed up for some of the campus services, especially Cal's Office of Emergency Services. Signed the pledge to honor Cal being a a smoke-free campus in 2014. I found Paris Beauty School's room at RSF. Had to wait about 20 minutes and was ushered into Maggie's chair for my haircut. Got four inches cut into layers, got fringy, whispy bangs, got a blue hair extension, and a sample of hair conditioner. Love my new haircut! I hope Maggie has a bright future as a hairstylist! Any salon would be quite fortunate to have her! And I found the Yelp! photo booth! And Ben T. was running the show! It was great to meet Ben T., Yelp's East Bay Intern and my Yelp! friend. Ben told me Shirene, another Yelp! crew member would be joining him later. And Nique would be in on Monday. I will be back on Monday afternoon. When it was my turn for my photo, I got and donned on the Yelp! Red gear for my picture and my degree of YELPY CUM LAUDE. Also scored my Yelp swag of Chapstick, mint, and gloves! Thank you Ben! I got lots of free bags, and as Maggie W. said in her review, they will come in handy as many of the stores are charging for bags now. I got a nice cold bag from Bank of America which will come in handy for refrigerated goods from the store to home. Got a free T-shirt promoting community service after my promising to contribute to the community. Got some pix taken as well. Got my Yelp! ones. Still waiting for Cal Student Store to post mine with Oski and the sweet Aussie bloke on their Facebook page. Will be back for a quick Monday in and out just to see Yelp!
