They don't take walk-ins - by appointment only, just FYI. I liked the experience here as they were friendly, timely and took care to cut my hair how I wanted it. I showed some pictures and got nearly exactly what I wanted. I also liked how they washed my hair as a courtesy before they began cutting it - that was a very relaxing experience. They do women's haircuts and colouring as well though I'm not aware of the pricing on that. The chairs are very comfy too. The price point is a bit steep though for a men's haircut in Richmond Hill area - I think I paid almost $40 after tax and tip...it's decently Priced but there's cheaper alternatives in the area for sure...I'd be willing to try them again if my barber was out of town.

She criticized the shape of my head and while we were discussing the cut she told me that I am not the designer, she is the designer and I should just let her do what she wants. I told her I want the cut like the one in the photo and that I know it won't look exactly like the photo cause the model has platinum blond hair and mine is brown but I want the same cut. While I didn't reserve, thankfully the person who was supposed to arrive did not show up, so I was allowed in. The stylist asks what general style you want, then gives you a magazine to ask mainly for the side cutting you want. He will give you about 5 minutes for you to decide, and the haircut proceeds from there. He is very social, which I like about hair stylists, as it can get quite boring when all he does is cut your hair and you sit waiting. The hair washer and the stylist both satisfied my needs, and my parents also liked my cut. I ended up giving a $4 tip to the hair washer.

I showed her multiple photographs from different angles and said I wanted it to be grazing my shoulders and longer in the front. I got the complete opposite. Not only is it shorter in the front face pieces it's also an inch shorter overall than what I wanted. One side has way more layers than the other because she decided to make up the most crooked part when she was cutting and now it's completely uneven all over. The only reason I am giving more than one star is because the salon itself was nice and it was a pleasant atmosphere. However, the mirrors were angled towards the ceiling and I couldn't even see myself in it so I was getting my hair cut without being able to even see what she was doing. I went home from my hair cut and cried for an hour while trying to style it to my liking with no avail. I can't even look at myself in the mirror because I hate my hair so much.
