So, The er doc wanted her admitted around 7:30pm after all her tests came back and she had no access to oxygen at her home. There was a delay because the hospitalist (Dr Mosby) needed to get a report before admission--but she was not responding to calls. Then the ER doc decided in the meantime to do a CAT scan of her lungs. The test came back positive for pneumonia (that the X-ray missed I guess) but he had left for the evening. Now another ER doc (Dr Hastie) had to change the diagnosis before she could be admitted. Hes been here for almost 2 hours now and no updating of the chart. However, it's now almost midnight and she's still in the ER (now for close to 7 hours) and still no movement. This is very poor management. I hope it's better care once she's admitted!
