Let me begin by saying I love Mexican food and always love trying out new mariscos spots. I've never had a mariscos spot not provide tapatio for oysters and ceviche. Who eats oysters without TAPATIO? After waiting 25 minutes for ceviche, oysters, a coctel and 7 mares I was ready to enjoy it but was soon disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the 7 mares soup was delicious... Would have been way better with TAPATIO. Also, they barely provided enough limes for all the food purchased. The other reason why I drove out to the restaurant was to have mariscos and paletas as stated in the restaurant name and Yelp photos. Well they did not have paletas at all hence why the 3 stars. The kids got bubble gum flavored popsicles, my wife had a mango con chile paleta and I had the pepino con chile paleta both with chamoy and chili candy sprinkled on them. They were delicious from the first taste all the way to the last bite. The staff are super friendly and welcoming which made our experience as first time customers that much more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning this summer. The establishment is super clean and the shopping center has ample parking. I recommend this place. It is always nice to receive great service with owners who care about their customers' experience. The owner was very helpful making suggestions about the many flavors. While inquiring about the flavors, the owner gave us two small ice cream treats for my little boys - very thoughtful! We got a chocolate and a Nutella filled banana. Both were so good and refreshing. We also got a small bionico which was also really good. I can't wait to try the other ice cream flavors next time. Suggestion: this a a great alternative for those you go to Yogurtland for a quick treat. This is probably better for you since some are made with real fruit and already portioned vs over self serving yourself. Sweet but not too sweet, I love that they taste natural with recognizable flavors. I've been eyeballing the arroz con leche, so a return trip is long overdue! So this review is based solely on my first and only visit to Cancun. The place is located inside of a plaza and is very clean. I went with a friend on a weekday and we were the only customers so we got our paleta fix right away. What really reeled me into this place was the originality of filling their popsicles. I got the strawberry with lechera and my friend got the banana with nutella. I really wish my popsicle was milk based instead of water based because it would have complemented the lechera much, much better. Nonetheless, it was a good flavor but I would probably try another flavor if I were to return (I don't live in Downey, so it's a drive from me.) I also noticed that they have a small crepe menu so I would totally order one of those as well if I ever get the chance. If you live in the area pay them a visit. They also have stamp cards so can't say no to a rewards system. read more
