Completely wasted my time. Gave me a 7:45 appointment and nobody was even in the office. I left a note on the desk for a call back to reschedule after waiting a half hour and nobody even had the consideration to call me back. Usually when people make appointments during the week they are making time in their work schedule to make the visit which is extremely inconsiderate. Why send out a confirmation text message if you aren't going to even be at the appointment yourself? After trying four other Dermatologists in nearby areas, my search ended once I made my initial appointment with Dr. Mariwalla. I won't go anywhere else. Further more when it came to having some skin issues removed the response was we generally don't do that here. When I asked again it was then the Dr said we have a wait list. Asked to be put on the wait list at check out. A year later I recieved a call stating my Dr wasn't going to be able to see me and I was gonna be scheduled with another Dr. I asked about this so called waiting list as to if it exists to which the receptionist said yes. I asked how many people were on the list and she said 15.... so in a year's time I've been waiting and this place can't manage 1.25 people into the office for minor procedures. I have been a patient of Dr. Mariwalla for several years for a variety of random skin concerns. The wait can be pretty rough. If you can make an appointment on an off time, you won't have much of a problem. For evening hours, expect to be there for a while. With that being said, the office is a well-oiled machine. There is an area for check in, an area for paying your copay, and a checkout/purchase area. It is all very seamless. You do feel a bit that you are churned through. But it is efficient. Once you are called in, you are seen quickly. Follow up appointments seem to go more quickly. The office is immaculate. There is a product line (the products are ones that you can purchase elsewhere, so it is not HER personal line). Dr. Mariwalla is beyond friendly, approachable, and real. You can talk with her like a friend. She truly listens, is passionate, understanding and sympathetic. She also knows her stuff. Right away, she knows the problem and knows how to handle it. The office does use an online pharmacy, which has worked fine for me. Once processed, the prescriptions are shipped right to your door the next day. read more

I like the doctors and Jenna on the second floor but the receptionists could be friendlier especially after you stand in a line to get checked in. Also found the sign at front desk a bit much stating " If you have made it this far by ignoring the signs and not wearing a mask, you can purchase one for $1. I've been going to Mariwalla for 5 years now. Their service gets horrible and horrible as time goes by. I waited for my virtual appointment for an hour. They said they were going to call and never call. They kept putting me on hold for 30 minutes. After I posted this review Dr Mariwalla responded, " We actually don't even offer virtual appointments anymore and do so only as a way to accommodate patients as a courtesy. It is a shame you felt you still needed to post such a review when we actually were trying our best to see everyone despite being significantly hampered" I feel like they could have called me and said something instead of having me wait for 50 minutes. My time is important too. You stated, " it is a shame you felt you still needed to post such a review" and you're right Dr. Mariwalla, "it is a shame " It's a shame that you guys don't communicate and not being considered for somebody's time. I felt like my appointment was rushed through. They said that I can't refill my prescription because I needed an appointment. I had to make an appointment to refill my prescription. After Mariwalla Dermatology recommended two topical treatments and then a biopsy, the office then scheduled MOHS 6 weeks later.........was told that the doctor only does MOHS on Mondays and that the office was closed Monday after Christmas and Monday after New Years, and that the doctor would be on vacation and the earliest date was January 23..............we told them that was not acceptable and we were going to see another doctor (December 14). Had the procedure done the same day. When cancer is found waiting 6 weeks was not acceptable. Will not be returning to Dr Mariwalla. Would give 0 starts read more

I gave the description of what was going on with my skin, and Dr Jackson automatically tells me she thinks it is eczema and pawn medication off on me. I could have done this over zoom or the phone if I'd known you weren't going to thoroughly exam the area or take any tests. I will no longer go back to this place. read more

I would like to respond to your accusation that I gave you a bad review to receive free treatments. You got a bad review because you deserve one. As I stated I have had this treatment in your office at least six or seven times and was always satisfied with the result. This last one was not done up to the standard I was used to receiving at your office, far from it. When I went to pay for my treatment I was told the fee was $800.00 but was charged $828.00, the $28.00 was listed as a service charge. When I asked about this I was told the fee was $828.00 unless you paid cash then it was $800.00. I can only conclude you are now charging more but giving less treatment. My complaint was met with denial and hostility, and by the way, you offered me a free treatment which I refused. If you don't like the review you got, treat your established patients with a little respect and you won't get one. read more

Dr. Mariwalla is very nice and I hate giving her a bad review, but I will not recommend her practice to anyone. I have been coming here for years and have not seen any improvement in my acne at all. I have been given multiple creams, pills, you name it and nothing works. On top of that they are expensive, $40 copay, on top of the visit copay is a little outrageous. Now I understand she has nothing to do with that, but she prescribes it. On top of that they always want you to go through this online pharmacy and the service there is terrible. My last visit I refused to have them send my prescription to the online pharmacy and they told me I could only go through the online pharmacy, which is not true. Once again not her fault that the online pharmacy stinks, but don't have your staff tell patients they can only go through one pharmacy. The final straw is a rash I have had on my hands for months that will not go away and she just keeps giving me a steroid. Once I stop using the steroid the rash comes right back. Called up and they prescribed me the same steroid. read more

I've never been driven to write a review on a Doctor's office until now. This is the most unprofessional and rude office. The receptionists are fine- a little unfriendly and unclear but I wasn't expecting much from them. Next, I didn't even get to see the doctor during my visits here. I've only seen the PA, Nick. He is arrogant and clueless. He told me my case is minor which is not true because if it was so minor I wouldn't be seeking medical help and then when he tried to prescribe me something he couldn't remember the name of it and whipped out his iPhone out of his pocket to search it... he couldn't find it and became aggravated and went to ask one of the nurses. I will never ever be back to this office and I would never recommend anyone to go there. There are countless derm. offices who are better at what they do! I learned the hard way. I had skin cancer on my face, and Dr. Mariwalla removed it two weeks ago. I couldn't be happier with the job she did. She's personable, skilled, quick. Her assistants and the office personnel couldn't have been nicer. My face is healing rapidly, and I doubt if anyone will notice the scar after a few months. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the volume of patients. The waiting room is always filled. At least twice, I've had to go up to the desk to make sure that I would soon be seen, and that sparks them to actually see me. So if you go, expect to be in the waiting room a long time. The time of your appointment means nothing--you will wait, and be served in the order that you arrived. Despite that, I highly recommend Dr. Mariwalla. read more

I've dealt with mild to severe eczema on various parts of my body my whole life. I've probably been to 4-5 dermatologists on Long Island over the past decade, and I'm going to say say that Dr. Mariwalla did the best job of addressing my concerns. The office was a bit crowded when I went, and if you're coming with a child/young teen, it seems friendly to that demographic as well. As another reviewer mentions, the office can be quite crowded. A lot of things are digitized: the staff and PA's record information on iPads (or another brand of tablet) rather than carrying around charts, from what I could tell. Both the PA I saw and Dr. Mariwalla herself were very attentive: they went over the concerns i have with my condition and were speedy in helping me with the right medications. She was very concise in going over what order to use things in and what sort of household changes I can make to help lessen my flare ups. I had a pretty good experience in my visit, and they were also nice enough to recommend a sooner-than-later follow-up, which shows a degree of care, IMO. I'm about three days into treatment and I'm already seeing results, which is much more than I can say about other doctors I've seen. read more

Best professional medical office in Suffolk county. They are very clean and organize. They run the best operation as far as for running a doctors office especially during covid. They have you in and out and least amount of wait time waiting in the waiting area. I signed in and they called me right away. They have antibacterial gel all over the establishment so you can keep yourself clean and safe. The doctor that treated me was so pleasant and very knowledgeable . I had a wart right next to my eye in which she took it of in less than 30 seconds. She said I will feel a pinch and I swear that's all I felt . My self esteem is back and I feel and look great thanks to this doctor and staff at Mariealla Detmatology. I just recently revisited the office for a full body scan and they made me feel very comfortable and they found nothing wrong thank god. I will be bringing two of my daughters to get checked out for their acne and I know my kids will feel comfy with the staff . See you soon. read more

I love Dr. Mariwalla even though I haven't actually seen her personally in a really long time. I have seen Dr. Kruter who I like a lot too. The back office seems to be very organized and I appreciate that very much. Making appointments is easy and checking in is a breeze. I like their use of technology. The wait time is never too bad even though the waiting room seems to be fairly active. The staff is friendly but I do have to agree with another reviewer, that the person you see on the way out doesn't seem to be that aware and it would be nice if she noticed you a little quicker, instead of having her head down. In terms of the care, the skin issues my daughter has had (acne and warts) have been handled professionally and with care and concern. The same for my skin issues (shingles). All in all, I give Mariwalla dermatology four stars because they are timely, professional, friendly and available. read more

I tried calling at least every other day and left messages numerous times. Never once answered the phone. The person who is responsible for scheduling an appointment, Ivelisse, will completely ignore you regardless of how many times you call or leave messages. I have been to this office before as a new patient. This was only my second visit there but the reviews left already say it all. "The wait is rough" I had an 11:45 appointment and was still sitting there at 1:00pm. It's obvious they book a lot of appointments into 1 hour but they are over booking! They cannot possible keep up with their own appointment schedule doing it like this- and it shows. Doctors are busy people and appointments take time but so are patients that come to see the Doctors-just as busy. You can't keep patients waiting over an hour and think that it is okay. Again, only my second visit but the first time here it was the same and came back again thinking it was not going to happen again. Yes, they charge $1 for a mask if you don't have one. The signs reminding people to wear one are just rude. I don't know if the doctor is so awesome or knowledgable - I didn't get in to see them after sitting and waiting so long - i had to go. an hour and 15 mins is my limit. read more
