I was under the gun for timing when I called a number of Lemon Law attorneys on a Friday. California lemon law has a six-year statute of limitations, but there is also a tolling period that goes along with that legislation. What that means is that you can add on the number of days your vehicle was out of service to the six-year statute. In my case, it had been out of service over eight months and therefore still qualified. Almost all of the firms I called had very low-level people answering their phones, going through a basic checklist, and they failed to understand this concept.
