I asked to stay with Dr. Matian. My experience with the PA named Jackie has been consistently positive. My experience with Dr. Martin also has been consistently positive. Sometimes he cannot fulfill my requests (like this week) and he provides an explanation. It doesn't change my opinion of how accommodating and compassionate he has been. Yes, it is hard to reach someone at the office. My experience with the staff in-person has been positive. There is a male worker and Colleen who are consistently gracious and have follow through.

If I could give this practice zero stars, I would. I've been a patient for a little over three years, and I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking any sort of timely, attentive, or effective medical care. I have never actually seen Dr. Matian in person, even after multiple attempts to make in-person appointments. My most recent appointment was a brief phone call that lasted a little over 3 minutes. During that call, I was told an order for blood work would be submitted. A week later, after hearing nothing, I had to contact the office myself to follow up because the order had never been placed. What was even more concerning was that once I followed up, the office asked me to identify which blood tests had been ordered. I'm still not sure why they couldn't verify this information with the "doctor" who was supposed to have submitted the order, or review my medical chart. As the patient, I should not be responsible for tracking down basic information about my own treatment plan because the office failed to document or process it correctly. The entire experience made me question the purpose of the appointment in the first place. If my provider cannot follow through on the care discussed during our call, and patients have to chase down their own orders and treatment information afterward, something is clearly not working. Based on my most recent experience, and an overall abysmal three years of "care", I would strongly discourage anyone from going to this practice. The lack of follow through, communication, and attention to patient care has been extremely disappointing and at times alarming.

I truly believe she's worth the addition funds to receive her exceptional care. I can 100% see why she decided to go the concierge route - she's THAT great, people were flocking to her like crazy. Even if Dr Ohadi was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of patients at times, she NEVER showed it and ALWAYS put us (her patients) first, so much so that it was probably doing a number on her health/stress levels, not to mention her personal life as well, I'm sure. Since switching to a concierge practice, she has created the ability to spend more time with patients, therefore providing the absolute best care possible. I'm all for it! I can email her if I have a quick question or if I need my records sent to me. I can request appts pretty much any time that fits my schedule. And you actually get through to her office when you call, no long wait on hold or "we'll call you back later" or automated voice message systems (only after office hrs). I'm newly postpartum, and he has been wonderful in helping me navigate the reins of this new chapter and come up with a plan for a truly healthy future so I can be my best self for my baby. After my previous doctor unexpectedly passed away, I was in urgent need of a new physician to continue my medications. My insurance provider referred me to Dr. Levin, and when I called to explain my situation, the receptionist assured me they could accommodate me and get everything sorted out quickly. I emphasized that I only had two days' worth of medication left and needed a smooth transition. To prepare for my appointment, I even paid $30 to have my full medical records transferred from my previous doctor's office. I arrived 30 minutes early to complete the necessary paperwork, only to find it was far more extensive than expected, taking up a significant amount of time. After submitting the paperwork, I then waited over an hour in the waiting room as they processed my insurance and co-pay. Once I was finally called back, I spoke briefly with a nurse before being left to wait another 25 minutes. When Dr. Levin eventually came in, he told me he had reviewed my records and would be happy to help me moving forward. However, within minutes, he left the room and returned with a business card for another doctor, telling me I needed to see them instead. He claimed he would call ahead to ensure I could be seen immediately, given that I was down to my last day of medication. Following his instructions, I walked across the office building to find the referred doctor, only to discover that the suite number on the card wasn't even a doctor's office. After returning to Dr. Levin's office for clarification, they provided me with the correct suite number--but when I finally arrived, I found the office completely closed and had been for over an hour. This made it clear that they never actually arranged for me to be seen and had wasted my time entirely. Not only did I spend half my day dealing with this mess, but I also had to drive 30 minutes each way in L.A. traffic for absolutely nothing. It became obvious that their priority wasn't patient care, but rather finding ways to bill insurance for unnecessary visits. While waiting in the reception area, I overheard them calling patients, pushing them to come in for physicals "covered by insurance," which only reinforced my suspicions. To top it all off, the staff seemed amused by my frustration, holding back laughter as I left--despite the fact that I remained respectful and composed the entire time. The whole experience was beyond disappointing, and I wouldn't trust this office with my care ever again. Avoid this place at all costs.
