I attempted to contact the doctor for an entire week without any response, so I scheduled a follow-up appointment. When I finally saw him, he was unexpectedly cold and dismissive. I requested his advice on how to address the issues caused by his treatment, but instead of offering clear guidance, he provided vague options: one option was to wait a year in the hope that the situation would improve, and the other was a treatment that could either improve or worsen the situation. Despite asking multiple times, he refused to provide a recommendation or any clarity about the risks involved, which left me feeling incredibly confused and unsupported. As a patient, I found it unreasonable to make such a decision without expert advice. Eventually, he abruptly ended the conversation by stating his "standard procedure" in these cases was to offer a refund, but only if I signed a document absolving him of all liability. When the form was presented to me, it was evident that they were offering only a partial refund, which was shocking given the severity of the outcome. Moreover, this doctor is available only one day a week, making it nearly impossible to reach him or any other support if complications arise. His dismissive attitude and lack of compassion were deeply troubling, especially considering the nature of his work. It became clear why there were already numerous reviews commenting on his poor bedside manner. In my experience, a competent doctor should be there for their patients, especially when things don't go as planned. This doctor showed no concern for my well-being and was more interested in protecting himself than helping resolve the issue he caused. Who ever knew there was such a thing as a "hand specialist?" I made a trip to my local urgent care for a swollen, infected thumb. Turns out there had been a bacterial infection which had formed at the nailbed. Without going into the gory and painful details, my referral was to Dr. Domanski as someone who could help determine the next steps for treatment and healing. I called for an appointment and was able to be quickly seen. Bluemont quickly emailed me the requisite paperwork to complete ahead of time, which I did. When I arrived for my appointment, papers in hand, I was greeted to a clean waiting room with friendly desk staff. Within only a few minutes I was led back to an exam room, and a few minutes after that I was seen by the doctor. Dr. Domanski is a very friendly guy. Very personable. Put me at ease very quickly -- which was a difficult feat considering I had been in a world of pain due to the injections and lacerations to my hand. He took photos of my unbandaged thumb, taking care not to cause me any more pain as he unwrapped everything. He gave (and showed) me very detailed instructions on how to care for my healing thumb -- even changing course midway when he saw how painful the initial option would be. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and told me what to do should I require immediate attention (he was about to go on vacation). I followed up with him this afternoon: Waiting time was less than five minutes. Still took the time and energy to make sure I felt comfortable and had all of my questions answered. Seeing the "before" photo on his iPad of my thumb to what it looks like now was a great plus to see what kind of progress I had made. I highly recommend Dr. Domanski as a skilled, personable specialist. I hope I don't have any need to see him again, but if I do I know I'll be in good hands. :) read more

I was really fortunate to have been introduced to Dr. Domanski and his team. They are true experts in their field and provide you with top quality care. Above all they are very professional, friendly, and caring which I appreciated because it helped alleviate all the stress and worry I was feeling after I injured my nose. I injured my nose from dancing and clearly it was fractured because I heard the bone pop as the accident happened and visibly it was out of place. It was painful and had to go to the ER. The ER doctor advised me to see an ENT specialist to get my nose fixed and after consulting with a few of them, I can't express how happy I was for the making the decision to seek help from Dr. Domanski. He really took the time to sit down with me to my explain my options, to talk about all the risks and expectations, and walk me through the process. He made it really comfortable for me to ask 101 questions without feeling he was in a rush to see the next patient. In the end, I chose a non-surgical procedure that consisted of being awake and without the use of anesthesia. As painful and scary as it sounds, when I had the procedure the experience was a relief. It was quick and I felt no pain. To top it off, Dr. Domanski was playing bachata music in the background which made the whole experience a fun one for me. Overall, Dr. Domanski and his team helped lift my fears and uncertainties that arose from my nose injury and made me feel really good about the decision I made to go with the procedure . Dr. Domanski is truly amazing. After suffering one of the most painful times of my entire life, Dr. Domanski was the only one able to calm me down and make me feel comfortable while in the ER. I tell him "he saved me" (which I really think he did) after acquiring a TERRIBLE infection with a previous surgery on my back (done by a dermatologist), Dr. Domanski knew EXACTLY what to do and how to handle it (and handle a hysterical girl screaming for hours because of the pain). The pain was so unbearable I could not move any muscles in my left arm, let alone move at all. I am so blessed that the ER doctor had Dr. Domanski come to take over my case. How he could make SUCH a deep and huge incision heal & look as amazing as he did? I have no idea but he is truly phenomenal at what he does. Not only is he a great plastic surgeon but there is nothing better than being able to trust your doctor and be able to ask them endless amounts of questions.. and he always had an answer that made me feel so much better. Now I am back to normal & I couldn't imagine being this happy with the way everything turned out without having Dr. Domanski. I am completely satisfied with my entire experience with Dr. Domanski and his staff. From the beginning, Dr. Domanski was clear and direct in setting expectations. His staff was always courteous and responded promptly to my inquiries. I never expected to need or want plastic surgery. However, following cancer treatment -- multiple surgeries, radiation, etc. -- I needed to have reconstructive work done on my ear. Professionally, I do a lot of public speaking, so I can't have people staring at what was left of my ear rather than paying attention to my presentations. Dr. Domanski consulted with my oncology team and was entirely candid and honest regarding what was possible in terms of rebuilding the ear and what it would look like in the end. The results? Exactly what he predicted. Also, there was very little post-surgical pain. In fact, I wouldn't even use the word "pain" to describe it. There were some moments of discomfort, naturally, but I used over-the-counter medications for that. Never needed any prescription meds for post-surgical pain, which was a wonderful surprise. I don't expect to ever have a need for plastic surgery again, but if I do, Dr. Domanski will be my choice for performing it. I recommend him and his team without hesitation. read more

Dr Domanski is a very honest doctor and a very good surgeon. He performed an abdominoplasty for me with very nice results. Each time I returned to the office for a follow up, he was compassionate and helpful, even when I had "silly" questions I'm sure he's heard a hundred times before. He and his staff (especially Melissa) are very accommodating and responsive. Several times immediately after my surgery,over a weekend, I called him with questions and he was helpful and was very patient. The reason for a less than perfect rating is the fact that the discharge information given to me when leaving the surgery center, could have been better and more thorough, otherwise it's been a good experience and I would highly recommend him. read more

I've never had plastic surgery before I found Dr. Domanski. I did my research and found that other surgeons wanted to 1. Charge for a consultation 2. Surgery costs were really expensive 3. Poor customer service. Dr. Domanski was none of those things. He is very personable, professional, transparent and has a sense of humor (respectively). He operated on my right leg which had severe injury where a huge amount of flesh was completely gone and the bone was exposed.
