My dentist referred me to Dr. Kerr. This was my first root canal and I was a little worried. I kept hearing about the pain and suffering of getting a root canal. They had the latest in equipment. I started off with a CT scan to get a 3D image of my teeth along with digital x-rays of my teeth. Dr. Kerr was fast and efficient. Before I knew it it was all over. The only pain I felt was the initial injections of lidocaine before my mouth went numb. The office staff was nice and friendly. We ended up talking about foreign travel and how one of their friends caught the last plane back to America before the pandemic restricted all flights. They were part of my in-network dental insurance and charged a fair price for a root canal according to the software our company gave us to determine fair pricing for our zip code. read more

I really appreciated how clean and modern the facility is. The front desk staff and assistants were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I was nervous going in for my first root canal. I was scheduled with another Endodontist company who my dentist referred me to first. The other company was super unprofessional, out of network, and was super expensive. I called Cigna for my in-network care & came across Kerr Endodontics! Kerr got me in-and-out the door within 30-40mins for my root canal. They explained everything they were doing step by step so I could understood the process. Kerr sent all of my x-rays and paperwork over to my dentist and they put my temporary crown on the following Thursday. They also provide notes for your employer if you need to submit forms for excused absences. I had a great experience getting this done! read more

I was recommended to Dr. Kerr by my wonderful general dentist, Dr. Mark Anderson, DDS. I was bummed to even need a root canal. Dr. Kerr's front office staff was wonderful and consistent. It was obvious the entire team communicates well with Dr. Kerr. All questions were answered promptly and clearly. They checked in with me often. My particular situation was not as simple as we anticipated. Dr. Kerr was up front when he said the anatomy of my tooth was 'a bit tricky.' In fact, I saw Dr. Kerr a total of four times for the same tooth. Even though I knew four visits wasn't necessarily the norm, I sensed confidence and calmness. Dr. Kerr was committed to success. He was patient and allowed time for healing to occur. Without a doctor willing to listen to the patient, outcomes can be negatively affected. Went here yesterday for a root canal. Fun times.lol. This is the second one I've done here and it was a very positive experience. The staff is great and Dr. Kerr is fantastic. I get the nitrous oxide because I'm a baby. It really makes the whole process very low stress. No pain whatsoever during the procedure. A little pinch with the shots and a little sore about six hours later but nothing a few ibuprofen couldn't handle. The billing process is pretty easy and straightforward. They called me the day before and let me know exactly how much it would be so there is no surprises. Hopefully you don't need any major dental work done but if you do, here is the place. Wow! I am so happy that I went to Dr. Kerr. I have been in and out of dental offices with a cavity problem and finally I was referred to Dr. Kerr for a root canal. I wasn't sure if it was a root canal but he went through the possibilities of what it could be and assured me that it was indeed a root canal and that he would fix me up. I have terrible dental anxiety but his assistant and him were so wonderful and warm. They let me watch TV during my treatment (which only lasted 35 minutes!) and kept checking on me throughout the procedure. Unfortunately I dont have dental insurance so this procedure was PRICEY. I saw Dr. Kerr today for a root canal procedure. His staff was incredible! Everyone was so nice! The receptionist was knowledgeable about my procedure and was friendly, quick and efficient in processing my paper work. The dental assistant put me at ease immediately by guiding me through the pre -op requirements in such a kind and cheerful way. By the time the doctor got to me I was relaxed and ready for him to begin. The whole operation only lasted about 30 minutes and it was quite painless. I was referred by my excellent dentist, Dr. Patrick Calalang to Dr. Mark Kerr for a root canal on a crowned front tooth. Dr. Kerr has a lovely and welcoming office and staff. Dr. Kerr also possesses a warm and caring manner and both he and his staff immediately put you at ease. Initially, Dr. Kerr was careful to be sure the root canal was the appropriate procedure. After he concurred that a root canal was indeed indicated he performed the procedure as painlessly and professionally as possible. I have had numerous root canals and this was, by far, the easiest. My regular dentist said I needed a root canal. I told her I wanted it to be done someplace that could sedate me if I needed. They referred me here. Dr. Kerr was able to get me in the same day. after talking to the dental assistant I decided nitros oxide would be good enough. The tooth wasn't hurting so that was a good choice. From the first moment you walk through the doors you are greeted by plum and gray colors, soothing music, and smiling faces. There is a natural stone floor, pleasant artwork on the walls, and a small cooler with free bottled water and juices to enjoy while you wait. Once in the oh-so-comfortable dentist chair, you'll have your own personal television and remote, so you can channel surf while getting your root canal. The assistants are skilled and friendly, and the office manager is very good with working with your insurance company. Dr. Kerr himself is appropriately professional and takes the time to explain your condition and treatment plan. Let's be honest -- Nobody actually WANTS to visit the dentist. I would give this place a "0" if I could. I would say their customer service was pathetic to be frank. I was referred here by my dentist office and from the original phone call never had a great feeling. So I know that usually they charge for a CT Scan and had already had one and inform. I felt like I was being interrogated from the front office lady asking where I got it from and all these questions. Then upon me going to my visit Dr. Kerr informed me both my teeth would need surgery (which when I went to the other Endodontics, which I would highly recommend, it turned out not to be the case)! Also, I received a bill from them for $80 from my consultation visit! So I call to see why I was billed and the lady informs me my insurance apparently only allows two a year which after your cleaning and the dentist sees you counts for one. So I ask if they've had my insurance well before my consult visit how did they not know this because I would've obviously waited 10 more days, which would've been 2019. My dentist in Scottsdale would inform me every detail about my insurance. I asked if they would be willing to waive since I'm coming there for two surgeries and you would've thought I asked the lady for $80 out of her own pocket. She made it seem like I was trying to rob them and literally told me i was "trying to get free service!" So I gave them their $80 and requested to cancel my surgery as I will gladly go elsewhere! I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are money hungry with no customer service skills OR professionalism! Just in case some think this is a cheap guy's review or something that would be wrong. I have previously went to get my wisdom teeth out and asked prior to the visit will there be any charges and they told me no. Upon arrival they immediately did a CT Scan and charged me $240 for it. Woke up on Monday with a toothache not having one when I went to bed. I was able to see my family dentist the same day and he dropped the "you need a root canal" bomb on me. My dentist does not do root canals so I was given a referral to Dr Kerr. I was nervous to even make the phone call but luckily I was greeted with a friendly voice and helpful staff member. I was seen the same day I called, thank God! Dr Kerr and his nurses were very good at explaining everything and I felt NOTHING! Not even the shot.....which I am terrified of! I have been a patient of various Dentists and/or Endodonists since I was eight years of age and I am now 65. Dr. Kerr is at the top of my list for being professional and thorough. Dr. Kerr takes great care to make sure his patients feel comfortable asking any questions and understand what is going to happen. Yesterday, I went to Dr Kerr for an endo procedure on tooth number 3. I was nervous, so I decided to wait until the week of Thanksgiving, despite pain for the past few months. As soon as I walked in, the staff put me at ease. The assistant Sara was so kind and sweet, giving me water and a blanket. She was extremely fast and efficient with the x-rays, plus she purged both the high and low speed suctions with special cleaners before they used it on me. I was very glad that she strictly follows OSHA guidelines and standards. The doctor himself was very nice and kind. He gave me the best injections I've had in my life. Even the palatal injection, which I thought would hurt, was painless. He was very efficient at doing my root canal, and he did a beautiful job. As a second year dental student, when I looked at the X-ray at the end of procedure, I was amazed at how precise, talented, and experienced Dr. Kerr was. ASDOH dental residents are very lucky to have Dr Kerr as an instructor. He was professional, but most importantly, he had compassion. Throughout the procedure, he made sure I was doing okay. I absolutely loved the experience I had at his office and would recommend it to whoever wants a quality, painless procedure done by a very compassionate doctor and staff. This practice came highly reccomened by my Dentist, who only does general dentistry. He informed me that the procedure I needed to have done was rather complex, and should only be done by a specialist. The office staff are about as good as can be. Informative, personable, and addressed and answered all of my questions. Though the procedure is anything but comfortable, two days after having it done, I am now pain free. Greetings, I'm sorry Dr. Kerr's office received 2 really negative reviews. I had a great experience with him, he helped me with an apico and I don't think I could have asked for a better person to do it. He explained to me what he was doing when I asked, and even went into more detail than I was expecting. His assistants were helpful and very efficient, made the process of being in his office quite comfortable. I think Dr. Kerr definitely knows his field quite well. He was very up front with me and gave me options and best suggestions. I agree with the poster in 2007, he is quite professional. He has a lot of patience, and never hesitated to stop what he was doing and ask if I was in pain at all. I would recommend him to others' who are in a similar situation that I was in. I was referred to Dr Kerr's office by my long time dentist Dr Robert Walker Jr., for issues with a root canal that had out lived it's time. I have some bone loss going on and need to decide to redo or extract the tooth. The office was clean and I was greeted quickly and the paperwork was not daunting. The tech set me up and took an x Ray that was shared on an overhead screen when Dr Kerr came in the room. He was very friendly and direct with my condition and the courses of treatment available. We decided to send me to A. T. Still Dental college in Mesa for a 3D scan of my mouth to map the nerves and get more detail about the surrounding teeth. Dr Kerr was very frank about my prognosis w/o scaring me. Right now, I'm waiting for the reading of the scan and will probably be referred to a surgeon for extraction and then an implant. I would give 5 stars when I get done with this whole thing. I would recommend Dr Kerr because of the comfort level and the professionalism balanced with his frankness. I went in with open eyes and knowing what my insurance would cover with him. read more

I'm sorry, I couldn't disagree more about the reviewer that said Dr. Mark Kerr and his staff were incompetent and unfriendly. Add me to the list of people who can't stand dentists. I went to him on a recommendation from my general dentist and I'm glad I did. I had numerous problems arise, including the fact that no matter what he tried, I couldn't get numbed up for the procedure. He never once stated that I was making things up, he worked through it, and patiently waited until the numbing was complete- two hours later. They then called me several times to ask how my pain level was doing after the procedure- and, as a matter of fact, even told me that it WOULD hurt for up to a week afterwards. I have zero pain tolerance, and yes, root-canals DO hurt. That isn't the dentist's fault- that is just the way it is. They even explain about it, that the ligaments in the teeth are all connected and it hurts so badly afterwards because of that. I suggest perhaps when something is explained to you, you listen. If you want a good quality place to go for more advanced Dentistry, this is the place to do it. It's a beautiful place, and the staff is amazing. read more

His assistant, Amy, was incredible - she made me feel comfortable right away... We were chatting and joking around and she was very good about explaining things to me - they both were. Dr Kerr was awesome - He did a root canal that a previous dentist wasn't able to do, with (what seemed to me, anyway) ease. He was very attentive and made sure I was okay at all times.
