I know it's cheesy but this ride at Disneyland is a classic. If the ride lines are long this one is an easy one to hop on and off especially if your feet are hurting from walking all day. I love how they have characters ride along and wave to the crowds. I thought downstairs re-creation of life on a boat was interesting. Everyone has to try it at least once!

Up close and personal shot of 14 minute leisure ride!

This 14 minute ride was very relaxing and is for all ages! You'll make your way around Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island with a beautiful view of the water! Fun fact: Mark Twain got his pen name from his days of being a riverboat pilot. The name means a vessel is at a safe depth. He was also the author of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer! Hubby, our daughters and I will definitely be back to this grand boat, next time we're in Frontierland! SYOY! :-) *Song Credit: Pure imagination by Rook1e

24 years After 24 years in the Navy, I still go out to sea?!?!? But this time instead of work, I get to enjoy the ride. ;) There's actually two boats you can go on for the river ride. We ended up on the Mark Twain steamer. I forgot the name of the other boat but it supposed to look like a sailboat from the 1700s. There's no assigned boarding group . It's get on the ship and go wherever you want. You can walk to the forward end or aft. The pre reordered message on the 1MC (loud speaker) calls out different points of interest on the starboard or port side. And you can go on either deck of the ship. Overall five stars. It's a nice slow pace where you can catch your breath and enjoy the fresh air. The stream from the two smoke stacks are a nice touch. M

This is the ride I call the "I'm taking a break at Disneyland ride". When spending the day at Disney as an adult, we have to know all the places we can rest at such as shows, train rides, and the mark twain boat. We recharge and go again. Love this boat

Who doesn't love a trip around the River! It seats plenty, I can take my son on it when the others want to ride Big Thunder but he doesn't. It's shaded and chill, and you get to wave at people and make quack sounds at the ducks! What else does one need in life??!? ;)

Best way to relax after a hectic day at Disneyland. It's a nice ride around the waters of America. The narration has been updated but still charming. You can bring a snack to enjoy on the trip and take in the nice scenery and wave at the people on shore. Try to ride it at dusk - the ambiance is awesome, especially if you can catch the crows coming in to roost. It's a nice alternative when the queues are super long

As the annual pass holder, it's a shame that I never squeezed out the time to get on this boat. My husband and I went to park during the memorial weekend and the park was super packed so we decided to try something that we haven't done yet. The operation hours of Mark Twain Riverboat are from 9am to 5:40pm daily. The boat ride is estimated 15 mins and it will show you around the Rivers of America. You will have a chance to take a closer look at the stage for Fantasmic show and enjoy the following scenes. -Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island -The north bank of the Columbia Gorge -A rustic frontier cabin -An idyllic Native American village -A busy beaver at work chewing on the train trestle -Mountain lions relaxing in the sun -The Disneyland Railroad steaming into the wilderness It's good for a break from the crowds and a hot weather. Overall I like this experience.

A trip that I have fond memories of is when I visited Mark Twain's hometown of Hannibal, Missouri. While there, I took a riverboat down the Mississippi River. This ride always brings back memories of that trip. Mark Twain Riverboat is a 12-minute journey around the Rivers of America. It is one of the original attractions that was here when Disneyland opened in 1955. It is located in the New Orleans Square section of the park. I like riding this when I just want to sit down for awhile and sit in the shade. The riverboat has three levels that you can explore. The other boat that goes around Rivers of America is the Sailing Ship Columbia.

The Rivers of America has a couple ships that it is known for and the Mark Twain Riverboat is one of them. This can be a fun attraction if you want to see the Rivers of America and even a glimpse of Tom Sawyer island. It's personally something I generally skip, but I can see adults and kids who like boats enjoying this attraction.

The Mark Twain Riverboat offers you a scenic view as you ride around the "Rivers of America." Make sure to take in the sights on both sides. While off to your right you will get more of a close up view of Tom Sawyer Island, on your left you will pass the sailing ship Columbia. You can also view deer and Native American lookouts and a village as well. The Riverboat operates on a daily schedule and we were able to get on the last ride of the day. Much of the seating is taken up on the ground floor but I personally liked to walk from one side to the other seeing the sites. The Mark Twain riverboat is one of the original rides at Disneyland and was built to represent the steamboats that paddled the muddy Mississippi over a century ago. A description of the steamboat is near where you disembark. It was built to be as authentic as the ones that graced the period. Your ride lasts about 20 minutes and you embark and disembark at the riverboat launch station. The Magic Kingdom counterpart: equal. the Liberty Square riverboat grants us a similiar experience along the Rivers of America. They play a recorded voice of Mark Twain throughout your journey. Due to its proximity and location to Big Thunder Mountain RR and the Haunted Mansion you get some unique views of these attractions along your ride. The Liberty Square riverboat however, tends to be closed a lot of the time I'm there but still makes a great slow ride when you need to slow the pace down. There is usually never a wait to board the steamboat. Hop aboard and enjoy a nice laid back experience. Located in Frontierland in Disneyland.

Nice chill boat ride. Slow and meant for all ages. You can explore the different floors and all the details that the boat has like the portraits and pictures inside. It's a relaxing tour around the Rivers of America and you can see some things you normally don't unless you're taking the train around the park. There's limited seating, just an FYI. I like going on this at night to relax after a long day walking around the parks. Sometimes you can see some of your beloved characters riding the Riverboat, including Princess Tiana!

Mark Twin Riverboat is a ride at Disneyland in California. Mark Twain River boat will take you on rivers of America, a sightseeing tour aboard a majestic 19th-century paddle boat. This ride is for all ages and there is no height restriction. It's a slow, water ride. There are three different levels on the Mark Twain Riverboat. It's a 14 minute round trip ride. It's really nice to sit and relax on the ride, especially if you've been walking around all day. You can enter the Mark Twain Riverboat at Disneyland's Frontierland, right across from Thunder Mountain. There is limited seating available.

Huge fan of Mark Twain first time ever on this, ride !

The whole time at Disneyland we were talking about these Famous solo riders that come to Disneyland by themselves. I love the idea of this. Yeah, I talk way too much to be alone. People start thinking I'm crazy I need somebody standing next to me to hear all the nonsense that comes out of my brain. My friends were in a deep conversation and this was the first time I ever been on this ride . I just happened to be standing next to a guy that appeared to be standing alone. I couldn't really enjoy the ride because I was coming up with scenarios. Why this man would be on this ride by himself. I thought maybe him and his girlfriend I just got in a fight and he went on Mark Twain, to calm down. I just kept running all these scenarios in my head till I finally just said are you here alone? He replied, yeah, I am . I said one of the infamous solo riders. How is that? He says I'm a keyholder and I come whenever I want. I don't have to wait for anybody I get on real quick it's awesome. I said we've been talking about all the people on Reddit looking for solo riders at Disneyland. Kind of use it for like blind date for the day . He was kind of surprised and didn't know about it. He said I'll have to check that out. He said I have an amazing time Alone, and I thought that was really cool. Yeah, don't depend on somebody else for your happiness ! Go to Disneyland alone if that's what makes you happy . #MarkTwain #SoloRiders

Cannot say enough about how cool it was to view the wildlife through the underwater viewing pods. It was an unbelievable experience to come nose to nose with wild bottlenose dolphins. We visited on a busy day on Memorial Day weekend, and the crew still took time to make sure that everyone on the boat was having a good time and getting their questions answered. I also brought along my rambunctious 2 1/2 year old son, and felt totally safe on the boat, which felt very secure for kids. On our cruise we saw dolphins, a fin whale, a sun fish, sealions, and common dolphins. A great day. Special thanks to Matt and Amanda for all their fun facts and knowledge sharing! We will definitely be back later in the year to look out for blue whales and white sided dolphins.

This tour, however, barely left the coastline. If whales could be seen that close to shore, I could have just stood on the beach and saved my money. The trip was advertised as 2 to 2.5 hours, but it only lasted about 1.5 hours. Most of that time was spent heading back toward the harbor, and then we sat near the harbor entrance for around 20 minutes just watching sea lions. I honestly don't understand why anyone should pay $50 per person just to look at something you can easily see from the shore. It felt misleading and disappointing. The boat never seriously attempted to go offshore, where whales are actually located. What made this even more frustrating was that I specifically asked the staff before booking whether we were likely to see whales, and they assured me we would. Do not waste your money on this tour.

Captain Joe started off with a safety speech, and from there we were ready to party. Keep the boat fairly balanced, don't all run to one side, not too many people at the front all at once, the front is on the opposite end as the Captain. There were 10 pedaling seats and an area in the front. There was one broken pedal. This boat has a motor so the pedaling is optional but it's for funsies. Our guide arrived promptly on time with a warm welcoming smile that remained with us for the duration of our journey. Arshley is the most knowledgeable guide I've encountered amongst my numerous African safari experiences. His broad knowledge of the Ugandan wildlife with an unmatchable expertise of birds and trees enhanced our experience and appreciation for the beauty Uganda has to offer. His vast awareness of wildlife along with his dynamic personality kept us entertained and engaged while traveling between national parks and forests. Arshley has an exceptionally trained eye and was able to spot a leopard in a tree that most would need binoculars to see. He continually exposed us to many new species beyond what I expected to encounter. While getting to know Arshley, I learned of his many accolades in guiding, birding, and forestry. He is the reason our experience was both educational and enjoyable. Arshley is so easy to talk to that by day two he was not just our guide, but also a close friend. He is fun and happy and this made our experience extra special. He was continuously concerned about our comfort level and general well-being as was Sharon, our program planner from Kabira, who would often check-in to ensure we were having the best possible trip. When deciding on our specific itinerary, Sharon always responded promptly and supportively. I had many questions and concerns as one does when planning an expensive overseas excursion. Sharon helped put me at ease by thoroughly walking me through each step of the process. She even took a midnight phone call from me when I needed last minute assistance with the payment process. It was such a wonderful surprise when she took the time to meet us on our final evening and presented us with a thank you gift. Our favorite day was the Gorilla Habituation Experience where we spent four hours with a magnificent mountain gorilla family. Although the cost of the permit was quite pricey, it was well worth it to encounter these creatures so up close and personal. I have fallen in love with the country, its peoples, and all the land has to offer. When I come back, there's no question that I will be using Kabira again.

It was a great choice, the costs are affordable and planning is very flexible. Our trip was short…read morebut with a very good guide, we all wished we had stayed longer. Kabira Safaris is very recommended for planning a trip.

I don't always stop by here, but if I'm at San Fransokyo, I WILL stop by here!…read more There's nothing better than a good sour dough bread and you can get a free sample by walking in! Yay! Yippee! Getting anything free from Disney is an appreciated rarity. There's a lot of cool neat trivia about how sour dough is made, the yeast cultures that go into it, historical facts about Boudin, and you can watch them make and bake the bread right there behind a glass window. From start to finish, it's a nice activity that's not super busy and not cortisol spiking at Disney. Honestly, each time I've gone here, all the tables are full, but I don't blame them. It's indoors covered seating and a place you can enjoy your bread bowl and enjoy the scenes of making (and I guess breaking) bread. There's a small cart outside selling the sourdough (regular loaf and cool seasonal/Disney shapes) and it's right next to Aunt Cass's cafe if you would like a bread bowl and some chowder! Love it!

Y'all got me! I swear to you. For years I thought this was actually a tour. Like...someone taking…read moreyou through for 10 minutes or something. I did not realize The Bakery Tour is just one room explaining how bread is made. Okay so, the exterior is super cute within the San Frantokyo area with great themeing, and an adorable car outside. When I walked in, no one was there which I think may have been the first unusual anomaly for my pop in. Apparently there is usually a cast member handing out samples at the entrance. Just bad timing on that one, so no negative marks for that. Apparently they used to have video screens but now don't even have that in showing you how sourdough bread is made. Just a couple of plaques explaining the process. Cool I guess. I walked in and I walked out. Don't get me wrong, I love the bread and I love the adorable Mickey Mouse design - Vampire Mickey during Halloween! And other seasonal specials throughout the year. However the 'tour' isn't that at all and to be counted as an attraction instead of a shop is bizarre. Love you though, California Adventure!
